"The hotel rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The ceiling fan and openable windows are plus points. However, the noisy road downstairs can be a nuisance.
The room should be cleaned everyday and the amenities should be replenished everyday. But that didn't happen and we had to call for water, clean towels and rubbish bin emptying."
"Need to have other basic amenities such as rubbish plastic and sweepers"

We are located exactly in the heart of the Kuala Terengganu, walking distance to China Town of Kuala Terengganu is about 2minutes. Surrounding us is full of delicious food restaurants. Grab car is easily available to go anywhere you like.
"Check-in is convenient, the room is quite big, I like the decoration style, all are IKEA, fresh and simple. It is very close to Chinatown, there is Watsons downstairs, the room price is also very cheap, recommended to stay! Malaysian durian is really delicious, sweet and soft, I ate Musang King and Black Thorn."

Very Good
MMsaifullahsany90Excellent service. Before check in they call us to confirmed what times expected to check in. Im also requested to hv a pool view. Room cleanliness is superb. Huge smart tv in the room. Super delicious breakfast spreads. Staff is friendly some more. Definitely will stay again on my next terengganu visit.
NNazhanisHotel located near to pasar payang, mayang mall, pantai batu buruk & a lot of shop & food around the corner. Friday got pasar malam very near to the hotel so can try local food. Hotel is clean & nice bed. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Got room service until 2am & the food serve quite good. Try their spring roll. Really good & crispy. Spend 2 night here & definately will come again. I can see the famous bridge from my room too.
SSurayaI had a wonderful stay at The Payang Hotel! Even though there were only two of us, we opted for the family room, which was very spacious and comfortable. The location is excellent—within walking distance to Pasar Payang, where there’s a lively atmosphere and plenty of shops. We also found many great places to eat nearby, making meal times convenient and enjoyable. It’s close to Masjid Putih, which was a lovely landmark to visit during our stay.
The hotel’s on-site restaurant serves delicious food, and their coffee and cakes are delightful. During our stay, we tried several dishes and desserts, all of which were very good. The Chinois Cafe, located within the hotel, offers a unique and aesthetically pleasing dining experience.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall cleanliness and comfort of the property truly made our trip memorable. I’d happily recommend The Payang Hotel to anyone looking for a convenient and pleasant place to stay in the area!

AAnonymous UserThe check in process was smooth but the staff not really friendly.
The room is nice with outdated furniture but i have good view.
The breakfast spread is just okay, hope the chef can improve the taste of the food.
SsuehanananaBig room. Comfortable. Bathrooms are all clean. Limited breakfast. Gotta go down a little fast. Overall everything is okay. The hotel is really close to the payang market. in the middle of the city. Can be reached on foot. In front of the hotel there is a white mosque. Muslims can pray near there.
Only this is an old hotel. So the furniture is all old. Receptionists are all friendly. Really satisfied. School holiday fully book. Must book early.
AAnonymous UserThe room was clean and comfortable, with excellent air conditioning. However, the front desk staff were unfriendly and lacked proper customer service skills.
LLost TravellerI requested king/queen bed but they give 2 single bed. Room is okay. However the entrance of my room near to housekeeping items that not covered properly. It’s very uncomfortable. Hotel should improve by covered the area. Overall is ok
AAnonymous UserThe staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning and loved the convenient location close to major attractions”.
WWS4UEverything is ok. But aircond bising. Thank you
LLiana A.Overall, my experience at this budget hotel was a mix of pros and cons. I had booked a standard room, which I found to be small but decent. However, there was a noticeable smell in the room and the bed was not very comforting. The cleanliness of the room was okay, although the toilet had a lingering smell.
The amenities provided in the room were basic but sufficient, including a small ironing board, slippers, towels, shampoo, and shower gel. There was no complimentary water bottle, you can buy your own at 7eleven or at the reception.
On the positive side, the hotel's location was excellent. It was conveniently situated near a drawbridge, food restaurants, a self-service laundry, a 7-Eleven, a Secret Recipe outlet, and an Ayam Geprek restaurant.
This is a decent accommodation at an affordable price, still a practical choice for travelers looking for a convenient stay on a budget.
