This is a very much unethical way of doing business from Dorsett hotel. I was in awe with their services with too many shortcomings. I booked 3 nights for 2 rooms in KL and only realised that I have booked a hotel and a apartment they termed as residences which is very much a AirBnB. I booked the first Dorsett hotel for 3 night and and wanted a second room but was full. I scrolled down further to see bigger room at higher cost and booked it for 3 nights. Both hotel and residences are on the same page of booking. Dorsett residences is terrible with choked drainage and flush issue. But with steadfast help from Trip.com they rendered so much help to talk to hotel desk to change it to hotel instead of the apartment which is Dorsett residences. Additional bed was charged RM100 per night and again through trip.com, hotel finally waived it off at the end of the day. Best part was, the initial RM$300 for extra bed which I handed in cash to the manager was not even accounted into their system. After much hassle, with twist of words to become my RM$300 was for deposit. I was in no spirit to argue this point and finally was given a RM$300 cash deposit. I will never go back to this Dorsett hotel anymore.
Through the entire episode, I learnt something; trip.com will stick with me throughout my selection of future trips, from plane to hotel to airport transfer and even attractions. Trip.com did so much help to me from all their well-trained staffs. I was so shocked that all their staffs were so kind to me and never doubted my words at all. In time of crisis, I met a friend. Thank you Trip.com
