As others have said this hotel is adequate. The exterior and lobby are nice but once you get inside you realize this is an old hotel with a paired down, apathetic staff. When we arrived the elevator wasn’t working. Ok, that happens but it was indicative of the hotel. The room was big and again very old. There was 1 nightstand and a handful of outlets to plug in devices near the closet and on the far wall (from the bed). We called the front desk to ask for an extra blanket and they just say, “no English”. Thankfully we had a guide, so we contacted him and he called the hotel and asked for us. Then we get a call in our room from the front desk and they said, “blanket ready” and hang up. We thought it was weird and went to the door thinking someone would be there with the blanket- but no. So again contacted our guide and asked him to ask them to bring it to our room. And a few minutes later they did. There was a bare bones staff and it seemed like they had 0 or very little training. The bath/shower is elevated so you have to take a really big step to get in/out. Thankfully there was hot water, and they provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shower cap, dental kits, q tips. Because of an early tour, we had to take a packed breakfast with us. That was only possible because we had a guide to communicate with them. They did a semi-good job with the breakfast- packed nicely but didn’t give us utensils. We stayed for two nights. If I ever go to Kratie again, I’d look for somewhere else but if I couldn’t find anything better, would stay again.
