Centrally located with easy access to dining and shopping. Polite, helpful staff offer excellent service. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms ensure a good night's sleep. Fantastic, rich breakfast served with pleasant service.

What a lovely hotel! The location is perfect, next to the port, ships dock just outside the window. It's located a short walking distance to wonderful restaurants, the ferry terminal, small shops and local merchants and a small shopping mall is adjacent to hotel. The room was small but outfitted well, bed was comfortable with fluffy pillows and bedding. Water pressure was great and plenty of hot water, the bathroom floor heater kept the bathroom warm and was a treat to this Ohio native with a cold tile floor at home. I encountered 3 different desk attendants, all were very attentive and spoke perfect English (I didn't encounter a single Norwegian who didn't speak perfect English) All the staff were helpful pointing out local attractions. Breakfast was amazing, I couldn't believe the available choices for such a small hotel, I was expecting some hot cereal and bagels, but was offered several meats, eggs, cheese , cold cuts, breads, grains, yogurt and even a selection of gluten free items! Fresh coffee and tea available 24 hours and even in room coffee. This is the kind of hidden gem I feel lucky to find when I travel. I do generally stay in branded hotels, but the partner type hotels like Thon Storgata offer a small personal touch that the big corporate locations can not duplicate. I will definitely stay here again if in the area!

Terrible stay here, the Disco is loud and you hear it clearly through the walls. Asked for a quiet room, but the room was noisy. The disco runs until 2am 5-6 days a week... stay away if you care about sleep.
