The Bellafonte - Luxury Oceanfront Hotel

This was my first time vacationing in Bonaire and my stay at the The Bellafonte did not disappoint. The pictures online did not prepare me for how beautiful the views really are. My family and I stayed in a 2bedroom 2bath suite and it was worth every penny! The suite was large and well appointed. The view from the balcony was awesome. The kitchen was equipped with a full refrigerator,stove and dishwasher. The beds were very comfortable with the best pillows I've ever slept on.The hotel is very close to the airport, but you will need a car to get around. The staff is able to help with that. Speaking of the staff, they were fantastic from our first communication. Upon arrival they were professional and personable. This is a beautiful property that I highly recommend .

There are so many positives to a stay at the Bellafonte! The location is great- just midway between Bachelors and Te Amo beaches, and across the street from Wanna Dive for tanks and equipment if you need. The complex is small and quiet, with comfortable and modern furnishings and a well maintained dock with covered loungers and easy step entry to the water. There’s a small plunge pool, clean and fresh, and an office staffed with really nice people who are helpful in every way. We were in a junior suite, which has a separate bedroom, en suite bathroom, small kitchenette and sitting area. There’s a tiny balcony with table facing the ocean and a lovely sea view. It was perfect for a short stay. Coffee is provided with Nespresso pods. Daily cleaning is included. We opted for the charcuterie pack on arrival and found it perfect for our needs, with meats, cheeses, crackers chips and spreads. Wine, both chilled and red, are available in the office. The only issues we found were the linens and bedding which need updating and deterred from a comfortable sleep. There’s also no restroom or changing area on the entry floor, so if you have an afternoon flight it’s difficult to hang around and change prior to the airport. There’s a scuba locker but the dunk tank was always empty, and the single shower had low pressure making it difficult to rinse gear. Our gear ended up pretty stinky at the end of a few days. The loungers on the dock are often “occupied” all day as well, but since we weren’t there to sit around it wasn’t a big deal for us. Overall found this complex to be a reasonable choice for an oceanfront lodging with a bit of lux.

Absolutely outstanding!! This was our third time staying on Bonaire but our first time at The Bellafonte and it exceeded our expectations. We had previously stayed at Harbour Village, where King William Alexander of the Netherlands has stayed. We found The Bellafonte to have far better rooms, better service and exceptional customer service and less expensive too!! They were so quick to answer emails, they offered grocery/snack and beer/wine options to have in our room on arrival so we could immediately enjoy our vacation. We were pleasantly surprised with an occasional treat while enjoying the gorgeous view from the private pier. Ruben seemed to live at the front desk, he was always so pleasant and helpful. We just can’t say enough about how fabulous this property is and we look forward to returning as soon as possible!!

We had a wonderful week. We are snorkelers no divers and enjoyed the snorkeling right off the dock. Wonderful sunsets each night. We cooked many meals just to enjoy the view. Kitchen is well stocked and had a dishwasher. We would definitely book here again.

The Bellafonte was a perfect place for rest. Our trip to Bonaire proved to be quite active and our room gave us exactly what we needed. We particularly appreciated the beach towels provided. (We wished they were souvenirs!) The outdoor amenities were charming, although we were unable to find the time to enjoy them. Our one grievance were the pillows. However attractive on the bed, they were hard and uncomfortable. Thankfully we brought our own pillows from home. All in all it was a very pleasant experience. We would certainly recommend The Bellafonte.

Wonderful location, staff, condo and especially snorkeling and lounge chairs. We had a wonderful time. If we needed anything the office team was ready, kind, and helpful. Room was extremely comfortable and the kitchen was awesome to have.
