Aparthotel Grodzka 21

Nice small hotel in the very center of Krakow. Restaurants and Café nearby. Public transport just around the corner. Market place 3 min to walk. Street nois in the morning 6am.

Very well situated, very close to main square. Nice comfortable room although it felt like I was staying at my Granny's house but it all added to the quaintness of the hotel. Bed was comfy and we had a fabulous shower. There was a good choice for Breakfast, although be aware that the English plate is not English sausage or bacon (if that bothers you). We had a room on floor 5 - there are no lifts so a bit of a climb. You check in and have breakfast at their sister hotel which was a 1 minute walk away and you have to ask if you want your room serviced. We found all the staff friendly and welcoming. Although the street is pedestrianised one side, the trams run on the other and it can be noisy, especially as they start running at 5am.

Beautiful little single room on the 3rd floor. Had everything I needed, and air-conditioning and fridge were a huge plus. Check-in was easy at Santi Hotel round the corner, and the lovely staff's English was a million times better than my Polish! Reception is also manned 24/7 (unlike mentioned on some booking sites). I'd emailed a few days in advance as I knew I'd arrive after 10pm but was reassured quickly that I wouldn't be sleeping on a street! Breakfast at the hotel was a good starter to the day but I'm not much of a breakfast eater and felt a bit poorly the one day I did try it so didn't really get the full benefit. Looked like a good buffet selection and a small select menu. Could hear the clip-clopping of the horses down the street at night and the very loud rumble of trams, but I'm used to noise at night where I live so easily zoned out. I did spot earplugs in the room for those that might need. Ample plug sockets in the room for the usual charger needs. Towels, soap and loo roll provided so this saves when packing light too. The only downside was the lack of lift, but I knew this when I booked and only had a single rucksack to carry - what I underestimated was how much walking I'd be doing during my 4 day stay (52km!) and by day 2 I was grateful for the chairs inbetween flights of stairs Overall, it is a lovely central place to stay if you don't mind a little bit of noise at night and can cope with stairs after a long day walking around.

My daughter and I stayed at the apartments which was in a great location in the old town. The apartment itself was basic but really comfortable. The design and decor of the apartments was really interesting. The room came with some herbal tea and coffee but was not refilled after the first day. The staff are available 24/7 at the hotel Santi just around the corner and were really helpful and friendly. A great place to stay!

Staff were ignorant and Victoria the receptionist woke me up at 2am for absolutely nothing to ask me was there a party in my room when I was on my own in bed sleeping to go on a tour the next day absolutely disgraceful and when I leave will never be back in this hotel ever again
