Hotel Copernicus

Krakow|0.34km from Church of the Conversion of Saint Paul, Krakow
A review based only on a Spa experience. After a previous visit to Hotel Copernicus last year, we decided to return for a Spa day. The hotel is expertly renovated and stunning inside, boasting a modern interior whilst maintaining the charm of the historical building. The lobby is extremely charming. The hotel itself has 29 rooms and is in high demand, and it’s obviously to see why. The location is perfect with the castle just a minutes walk away. The main square is also easily accessible, about 5-8 minutes walk down the Main Street which is bustling with shops, attractions, and museums. Now, about the spa. This is located in the cellar of the hotel and is once again, finished to an extremely high standard. The cellars are accessible via both stairs and an elevator. The spa is not large by any means, and the low vaulted ceilings provide a very cosy and intimate environment. Your first view is a crystal clear-blue pool, which reflects the light across the ceiling and walls creating a mesmerising dance of the light. To the right is a small check-in desk and immediately behind this is a quaint changing area furnished with lockers, a sink area, and shower. The spa is affiliated with L’Occitane and so all the products are branded as such. As expected, these products are top-shelf and smell incredible. In the lockers, bath robes and slippers are provided, and towels are liberally placed around the spa for your convenience. As a male with size 11 feet, I stood no chance squeezing my spade-like feet into the dainty slippers. I asked for a bigger pair and was provided with an identical, one-size-fits-most pair. Needless to say, I was also unable to wear these but I am used to this so bought my own sliders for the occasion. Next, into the relaxation chamber. Two large reclining beds are located here, on the floor. Very comfy and relaxing environment. Many candles (electric imitations) are present and the atmosphere was so calm I lay down and had the most amazing Power Nap. Free water (bottled) is provided. There is also another shower with an assortment of yet more L’Occitane products. A small sauna in the corner was set to 99° Celsius - and certainly felt it. I managed to endure 10 minutes, but would struggle to stay longer due to the heat. The pool itself is relatively small, but the atmosphere is unparalleled. And due to the need to book a treatment to access the spa, was deserted. The pool itself is amazing, and although heated, is at body temperature. The real star of the show was the treatments. My partner and I both booked facial treatments. 60 minutes for approximately £70. Not exactly cheap by Kraków standards, but this was by far the most amazing experience. The smell of lavender and other essential oils was incredible. The masseur was equally brilliant and I left feeling the most relaxed and stress-free I have been in years. If you are looking to pamper yourself - there is simply nothing else available to this level in the c

Hotel Kazimierz
4.3/535 Reviews
So my review of the Hotel Kazimierz 111 . Good points ,nice location, good breakfast, good shower , that's the good points done . Know the bad points , maid service never really happened, only thing she did was replaced the towels . No bed made ,no tea , coffee, cream , replaced,I had to go to reception to ask for this daily . And on the Monday night a female member of the reception staff told me to go to the shop for milk ,she eventually got me some cream ,she was really rude and not professional at all. This attitude of hers carried on at Tuesday morning.even the bye when we left was like bye and don't come back sort of thing, Only two young girls on reception spoke the rest didn't want to bother , it was like they didn't want you in the Hotel. I've been to Krakow a few times this is by far the worst Hotel staff wise I've been to ,this includes other countries also . Two out of five stars for us that's because of the good Breakfast and good shower , the woman who was on nights Monday 3rd July until 8am tuesday morning needs to be let go ,she's not doing your reputation any good at all.

The hotel is very well located. The facilities are new, it is very clean, everything is careful, and the rooms are spacious and well decorated. I would return to choose this same hotel. There is a very good breakfast.
Résidence Tournet

We spent three nights here and this was a disappointing stay. It was extremely noisy at night. The room that we were given faced the street despite our asking for a quiet room when we booked. Apart from two narrow tall windows, there is no other source of ventilation. We had to open the windows as it was hot. Unfortunately, there are many bars/restaurants and every night we were subjected to drunks shouting, singing, music and also fighting on the street below the hotel. The nearest bar was only a few doors away and seemed to be a magnet for the badly behaved. This went on till early morning, usually about 3.00am. The street is blocked off to traffic at one end and is therefore used as a rat-run for people on foot leaving the socialising area. The disturbance is continuous; had it been in short bursts with long periods of quiet in between it would have been bearable. Sleepless 3 nights! Not happy at all! The front desk staff (present only from 8am - 10pm) and we were locked out of the hotel twice as the card entry was temperamental and the door extremely heavy to open. We were rescued by another guest leaving and on the second occasion by the receptionist arriving early. We asked to change rooms due to the noise. The body language displayed during the reply that none other rooms were available suggested that they simply could not be bothered. It was certainly not a case of their having to clean the room – ours never was (see next paragraph) The room and bathroom were basic but did not look clean. The room and bathroom were not cleaned during the stay and the waste bin never emptied. Pillows were not up to standard - too soft and collapsed and flattened out! The WIFI was weak and was switched off one night. The breakfast buffet was simple but good with a respectable range of food. On the plus side – the hotel is in a great location with many sites and the old town within a short walking distance. If you don’t need to sleep during your stay the hotel represents good value.

I had a wonderful experience. The interior is sighingly beautiful, and the staff speak beautiful English and warmly face you. The location is perfect in the old town and the great restaurants are also available in the series. It was a hotel that felt more value than the price.
Stradonia Serviced Apartments

Even before we arrived the staff helped us arrange transportation to auschwitz on our trip. They couldn't do enough to help when we were there. The rooms were modern, clean and spacious. I had a 2 bedroom apartment which was plenty of room and decorated in a modern way. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. Our friends had a one bedroom apartment, it was gorgeous with more living space and 2 bathrooms. The studios was pretty small, but equally as nice, especially if you're hardly in there. The only thing I would say is ask for top floor if possible, as we did have some noise from residents above, but it wasn't unbearable. We had no view, looking at the courtyard, so maybe you could request that too . But we cannot fault Stradonia, and would definitely recommend it. The location is spot on , near the river and castle, and right in the middle between the old town and the Jewish quarter.( about 10/25 min stroll to each) And for breakfast, the bakers a couple of doors down was amazing, as is Krakow.
Atlantis Hostel

It was a beautiful and solid hostel, although it was suitable for the price. WiFi is strong, the kitchen is clean, and the shower and toilet are shared by men and women, but it was clean and there were about 4 rooms each, so it was easy to use. The location is a bit far from the central station, about 30 minutes walk, but access to the old town and castle is in a very good location.
