We stayed several nights in this beautiful, quaint, hotel and enjoyed every minute! The staff were amazingly accommodating and did everything possible to ensure that our needs were met and that we were always comfortable. The room was a full-ocean view and we enjoyed the comings and goings of lovely Kragero! Our breakfast was delicious, regardless of what we chose! The local specialties were always fresh and delicious. The pastries were spectacular! We thoroughly enjoyed visit to Kragero which was even more special staying at the Tollboden Hotel. We agree that we would love to visit again in the winter time and would insist on staying at the Tollboden! We love that the hotel is open year-round and will recommend this special place to all our traveling friends!!

We stayed at Tollboden Hotel for one night as a family and unfortunately left feeling underwhelmed. The hotel lacked warmth and didn’t feel very welcoming. It was hard to understand what it was trying to be — luxury, themed, old-fashioned, modern? I honestly couldn’t tell. Our room was fairly large but uncomfortable, and to make matters worse, the TV didn’t work. My wife went to reception to ask for help, but there were no staff on-site — only a phone number to call “if urgent,” which didn’t exactly make us feel looked after. Breakfast was fine but nothing special. The absolute highlight of our stay — besides the hotel’s great central location — was the red-haired Polish lady who handled breakfast and check-out. She was friendly, professional, and left a genuinely positive impression. Sadly, apart from her kindness and the convenient location, the rest of our stay didn’t meet expectations.

Nice and spacious room, great staff!
Parking was complicated if you are unfamiliar with the area so it is advisable to find out ahead of time where to park. Our GPS took us the wrong through the neighbourhood which made it a bit more difficult to party.

The staff, the hotel, the room, the gardens, the breakfast buffet in the charming stable...it was all exceptional. Our room was the one pictured and it was beautifully done, lovingly restored and the bed was so comfortable. The windows open so you can hear the harbor sounds all night long. The bathroom was very nice and the shower was a delight. Highly recommend staying in this lovely spot!

Due to circumstances we had to cancel our booking the day before our arrival. The next day, our situation had changed and we asked the hotel if we could come anyway. The hotel never answered our messages and neither our call. Booking asked the hotel for courtesy which they also never responded to. They charged us the full amount of the booking. Sad.
