"A very good accommodation experience. The shukubo of Jimeiin Koyasan is a place where you stay in a temple. If you choose a package that includes breakfast and dinner, the chef will deliver it to your room. There is a half-hour morning chanting class in the morning that you can participate in. You can also copy scriptures in the room.
Chimei-in is a small temple. The other guests are all Japanese, and many of them are old guests. As a foreigner, I am a bit dissatisfied.
The meal is very exquisite. The three types of tofu for dinner have their own flavors. Of course, there is no too elaborate presentation and decoration.

"Loved the vibe of this place. It felt very traditional and was a super unique experience. The included dinner and breakfast were alright, not quite my speed but I enjoyed it for the most part. The morning ceremony at 6:45am was cool, and we were given a quick tour and history lesson after. The room was warm and clean, even after it snowed quite a bit overnight. The bath was great too. I’d definitely stay here again."
"Cool stay at a monastery in Koyasan! As far as I understand, Shojoshin-in is one of the larger temple lodgings in Koyasan. Our room had an amazing view (koi pond and forest) from the tea room. All our basic needs are met including amenities. They served authentic Japanese vegan meals; I particularly enjoyed the dinner as it had a large variety of small dishes. Keep in mind this is Japanese style lodging, where you have a shared bath with other guests."
"Our stay at Fukuchi-In was amazing. We slept in a traditional japanese room and had a delicious dinner and breakfast in another incredibly beautiful room, shared with other guests.
We attended the morning prayers and enjoyed the indoor and outdoor onsens.
There was heating in the room :)"
"It is said to be the imperial residence of Emperor Toba and Empress. It has a beautiful environment and the hardware is new and clean. The location is good, in the middle, you can walk to major attractions in ten minutes. There is a short uphill walk to get off the bus.
I booked a Japanese-style room with a bathroom. I stayed in a room on the second floor. There was a small entrance hall, a sink, and a small bathroom at the entrance. It's very cold in Mount Koya in winter. With the air conditioner and heating on, the room is very warm.
The breakfast and dinner of Shojin cuisine are very sumptuous. In the morning class, the master will lead the chanting of sutras and incense, as well as Azi Temple meditation. If you want to participate in the fire offering, you need to make reservations at other temples. There are dedicated people who come to the room to take meals and morning classes, and the service is very considerate. I’ll come back next time during the red leaf season."
"After booking a room with a bathroom, a monk took us to a semi-underground room. It was so cold. He showed us the shower and bathroom in the corridor. We told him that we paid more to book a room with a bathroom, and he took us to find an old monk. Unless we were mistaken, none of their rooms had a bathroom. I obviously spent hundreds more just to have a bathroom in the room, and it was clearly written on the order. He asked me to contact Ctrip at his expense, and he also contacted the agent. It took about an hour and a half to figure this out. He took us back to the original room and opened the locked door (at first we asked him what the small door was, and he said it was a maintenance room). There was a dirty toilet and a sink that couldn't be smaller. Anyway, there are no hotels on Mount Koya. If you want to stay, it’s a shukubo in the temple. They are expensive and have poor conditions, so think twice."
"It's great. The room has a view of the courtyard, and it's beautiful to look out through the window. The staff is very friendly and there are staff who can speak Chinese. Nishizenin is on the side of the path, very quiet, especially in winter, there is no noise at all.
The food is good. The dinner is different for two days. The first day is vegetarian, with vegetarian eel and sashimi. The second meal should be pure vegetable. I personally like the second meal.
There are morning prayers, paid copying of sutras, drawing of Buddha statues, and Aji Kan meditation.
The location is convenient, not far from the gate of Rikoyasan, you can take a bus to Okunoin, and then walk all the way back, without going back."
"The location is very good, clean and tidy, the morning class is relatively simple, and there are no activities such as meditation and copying scriptures. On the whole, it is completely fine to be used as a hotel pure accommodation, but there is not much atmosphere of the temple."
"The location for a spiritual purification journey is excellent. Across the road is Tanshang Jialan, a complex of ancient buildings among thousands of woods, which is very spectacular.
The rooms at Sochiji Temple are very large, with one bedroom, one living room, and a separate bathroom, but the bathroom is a public bathroom with a hot spring. This is their style and a very special experience.
The vegetarian meal is like kaiseki cuisine, with many courses served in order and taking more than an hour to eat.
The service staff are very enthusiastic and nice!"
"This temple stay is amazing. Vegetarian breakfast and dinner was great. The morning prayer and fire ritual was great to take part in. They also offered an afternoon mediation tutorial. There was a night tour for the cemetery, however I did not take part. It was a little concerning that the English tour was ¥1000 yen more than the Japanese tour. Overall I highly recommend this place."

Amazing
普普成慧德The hardware is unique and beautiful! There are two aspects to the software: 1. If you are a true Buddhist, you will feel that the commercial atmosphere is very strong, and the morning and evening classes are irregular. 2. The basic services are not up to standard, such as frozen food. It is disappointing that hot water or water boiling tools are not provided in snowy weather. of!
FFaucheleventEverything was perfect, from the kind monk who showed us the temple (he wasn't part of it) to the morning religious service. The welcome could not have been more friendly, the room comfortable, the view superb, and the meals delicious.
