Koyasan is the closest place to Master Kukai. We stayed at the Nishizen-in Shukubo, which is located next to Danjo Garan. The Japanese-style rooms are on the second floor, and the restaurant is on the first floor. Breakfast and dinner are all vegetarian Shojin cuisine. There are sutra copying activities that can be booked. You can listen to the monks' morning classes in the main hall at 7 am. We were received by a Chinese woman named Li who spoke fluent Japanese. We arrived at 5:30 to check in. The other party was very impatient and thought we arrived too late and delayed her from getting off work, which was very inconsistent with the service quality of Japan. We did not introduce the content of the Shukubo to us. When we were sent to the room, the attitude was bad. He asked: "Don't you see the teapot? Don't you have a fan?" The attitude of speaking was arrogant and inexplicable! It seems that as a tourist, I need to predict what the Shukubo will give us. Because of this, I give one star for the service!

Beautiful temple complex, quiet, clean, very good vegetarian food, in the evening it was served in the room, in the morning after prayer in a traditionally furnished hall.

A very satisfactory stay. It is said that Master Jianzhen visited Xichanyuan. Bathing is in a public bathroom, and there is a chanting activity at 7:00 every morning. What is even more surprising is that he is right opposite Zuoshang Jialan. Crossing the road in the early morning and entering Zuoshang Jialan, there is no one inside. The sky was clear and the drizzle was gentle. It was an unforgettable feeling. It is recommended to come to Koyasan and stay for one night if possible.

Everything is very good. The most beautiful scenic spot Tanshangjialan is right outside the door. They will help carry the big luggage. The food is also quite delicious. The service attitude is very good. The heating in the room is sufficient and it is not cold at all!

Let me talk about the good places first: the environment is good, the temperature on the mountain is cooler; the service is in place, everything is explained clearly and carefully, and it is very friendly and polite; the location is right next to the Nemoto Tower. Then there is the not-so-good part: all the shukubo in Koyasan are very expensive. Adults here cost 1,000 RMB per person, and children over 6 years old also cost RMB 700 (cannot use existing beds to reduce the price, and RMB 700 does not include meals), which are not cheap. ; The facilities are subject to objective restrictions. There are only public bathrooms and toilets, and they are very small and very inconvenient. To sum up, if you are not a Westerner who is curious about the "mysterious power of the East", it is recommended to come from Osaka for a day trip instead of choosing Shukubo. Koyasan is not a big place, and you can go back and forth from Osaka on the same day. This way you can stay in Osaka city, and the accommodation conditions are greatly improved at the same price.
