Best Hotels near Super Market Chalkiadakis MAX, Kounoupidiana

From the very beginning the owner welcomed us with such care. The place itself it’s located perfectly outside the rush of people but yet still so close to the city of Chania (8/10mins by car). The establishment is super nice and well kept surrounded by bamboo and olive trees. The rooms are near each other and most of them are overlooking the pool. Room itself was very very clean and towels,bedsheets,products were smelling really nice. You can see that the place is well maintained and taken very good care of! It’s also PET FRIENDLY with stray cats(which you’ll see either in the morning or at night without even bothering you) another reason why we booked this establishment as we brought our own dog which was well accepted without any additional costs or useless comments. Our holiday is still ongoing as we booked for 5 days but it’s a must to leave a positive comment to such a beautiful place and people. To who ever sees this post don’t think twice and just book it! Perfect stay in a lovely small-feel hotel right on the beach. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Sam and George in particular made us feel like VIPs! The breakfast spread was one of the best I have ever had in a hotel, with a vast range of cooked and continental options. Everything was spotless. The restaurant offers a good range of drinks and lunch (on the beach or on the lawn) and dinner in the evening. If you fancy a change of scenery for dinner, I recommend walking along the beach at sunset to eat at one of the many excellent beach bars towards to harbour.

A lovely hotel along with really friendly and helpful staff. I sometimes have found the good customer service in Greece can be a hit or miss affair but not so at the Kriti hotel, they always had a friendly hello and eager to help. I never saw the cleaners but they did a brilliant job. We had complimentary Raki, bowl of fruit and two waters which was a very welcome and nice touch. Breakfast was amazing every day and the fresh orange juice is something I will miss. I'm still a little disappointed by tea but I don't think I've ever had a nice cuppa while in Europe, need to start bringing my own tea bags lol. We never had room service or drinks from the mini bar despite them being reasonably priced, (1.50 euro for water, which isn't far off market rate) To be honest I'm always confused why hotels put such a large mark up on drinks in the mini bar compared to a corner shop because surely they would have more sales if they just charged a market rate. The hotel is really well located, 10 minutes from the harbour and 100s of places to eat and 10 mins from a beach. However I do think the beach being labelled as a beach is bit of an over statement. It's roughly 75 metres long and about 20 metres in depth from the harbour walls. There's plenty of places to swim however with showers and the waters beautiful. If you want a proper beach it's 25 minute walk to one in chania or a 10 minute but journey from town to sunset, iguana or golden sands beach on the number 21 which runs every twenty minutes and costs around 1.60 each way. The hotel is located slightly outside the hustle and bustle of the main port which increases it charm. Good to sleep but really easy access to the area. All in all a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Thankyou

Hotel location is very good, a few minutes walk from the old town, breakfast is very good, the front desk service is also very good, the room is not big, but the design is very reasonable, there is a balcony, blowing, very comfortable

Best holiday!! 'Theos village apartments' is a wonderful, relaxing, friendly, family run establishment. From the moment we arrived at apx 10.30pm we were greeted by the owners with such a wonderful welcome! Nothing was too much trouble. They brought out pizza (which is to die for!) And lovely Greek Salads as we hadn't eaten ( even though the kitchen was closed). We sat on the stunning terrace into the early hours and by the end of the evening we were on first name terms with them and felt we'd known each other for years! The owners, Yota and Dimitris and their son's, Micheal and Alex work very hard to provide the best, friendly and efficient service. The apartments are lovely and clean, very comfortable beds and have all you need for a self catering holiday. Maids came in to clean and provided fresh towels every day. Air con was great and free! The pool area is stunning, not huge but never too busy, we always had beds and we were a party of 10. Micheal and Alex would bring us drinks and ice lollies at the pool to cool us down. The bar and restaurant area is a fabulous, modern setting and provided lunches and evening meals very reasonably priced. We ate there on 2 evenings which we thoroughly enjoyed! Dimitris does all the cooking and is very particular, ensuring all his guests enjoy his food. Yota (who is originally from Canada) strives to make sure everyone is happy and has everything they need. Micheal and Alex are the most charming and helpful lads, advising on local trips and restaurants and attending to every need. We loved all our chats! The local area is quiet enough but has what you need. A great, well stocked supermarket a few minutes walk, a beautiful beach about 8 minute walk with a lovely beach cafe, more shops and restaurants on the main beach road ( there are 2 routes, one is quicker). The bus into Chania is few minutes walk from apartments and only €1.00 per ticket. Takes around 10 minutes ( if that). Buy your tickets at supermarket before going on the bus. Chania old town is beautiful , we went in most days, lots of shops and fab restaurants on the harbour. My parents stayed across the road in Theos holiday apartments ( a separate business) because Theos village couldn't fit us all in. But my parents used Theos village facilities and were greeted and treated as one of their own guests, which was lovely! 'Mama & Papa' loved it! I cannot rate our stay highly enough! We all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and made great friends with the 'Theos village family'. We were sad to leave! We are looking forward to returning next year! Historisches Hotel mit traumhafter Lage im venezianischen Hafen. Wir wurden von Eva herzlich empfangen und bekamen viele nette Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt in Chania. Das Hotel hat einen bezaubernden Charme mit herzlichen Menschen. Die Zimmer haben einen ganz besonderen Zauber und das gesamte Hotel ist liebevoll gestaltet. Das Frühstück konnten wir im hauseigenen Café/Weinbar mit Blick auf den Hafen und den Leuchtturm einnehmen. Wir durften aus einer Auswahl an griechischen Köstlichkeiten wählen, angefangen von Joghurt, Honig, frischem Obst, Käse, Oliven, frisch gepresstem Orangensaft .... ein perfekter Start in den Tag. Dankeschön an das gesamte Alcanea-Team. Sollten wir wieder einmal in der Nähe sein ... wir kommen gerne wieder!
