Best Hotels near Archaeological Site of Palaepaphos, Kouklia

The room is clean, tidy, good facilities, beautiful environment, it is recommended! The service is very good and handmade chocolates are also delivered!

The staff are fantastic, all very efficient and friendly; they all do a great job. The swimming pools are very nice, both indoor and outdoor. It is a large resort and it was not full when we visited so it felt peaceful, I am not sure how that would compare to peak season. The main reason for my low rating is that I booked a junior suite months in advance and specifically asked for a quiet room. We were assigned a room above the kitchen (noisy and smelly), next to the tavern restaurant and to the noisy generator/pool engine (or whatever it is, but very noisy all day and night). The window also faced the busy stairs that lead to the restaurant and beach....so not my idea of quiet at all. The decor is dated but that could be acceptable. The bed (king bed made up as two singles pushed together with 2 sets of duvets) had a very uncomfortable mattress and the pillows were lumpy. This is not acceptable in a high starred hotel, in my opinion. When I mentioned this at check out, the lady suggested that next time I book a more expensive suite.... We had one dinner at the restaurant and while the food was good, it was extremely expensive for what if was. Breakfast was good, nothing special. On a bright note they seem to have adopted a large number of cats and they seem to take good care of them.

Firstly, I will start off by saying this is an amazing hotel and from the moment we walked into the hotel we were treated like royalty. We were met with a cold glass of champagne and canapes upon arrival and check in was quick and efficient. We opted for the all-inclusive option which worked well for us. The drinks were of top quality with lovely cocktails, and they had most international brands. The pool bar was great and from what we understand a fairly new addition to the hotel. Chandon and the team kept us topped up with water and delicious drinks every day. Around midday George and his team delivered freshly made smoothies to your sun lounger which was a really nice touch. The food was excellent and of really good quality – breakfast was buffet style with freshly cooked eggs any style. There was also champagne at breakfast plus continental and Cypriot options. We ate lunch at Kymata each day and the setting were stunning overlooking the sea the food was fresh, varied and there was also different specials on the menu each day. There were 3 options for dinner which was Kymata, the A La Carte and the buffet restaurant. Highly recommend the Cypriot night every Friday which was excellent with great food, music and entertainment. We also enjoyed the buffet restaurant on a few occasions with no complaints. Kymata is a stunning restaurant even more so in the evening. The pool was lovely and large and very warm! We also went in the sea which you go in via a jetty into the water and the sea was crystal clear and warm. Finally, a shout out to the staff and apologies if we missed anyone. The ladies on reception were superb and could not do enough for us – we had an issue with our air conditioning, and we were moved to a sea front suite without any hesitation, and they were always on hand for any questions with a smile. George and his bar team were amazing. Marois and his restaurant teams Thomas, Marios, Janos, Lucian and everyone else were just fantastic and top service throughout the stay The resort staff who looked after the pools, gardens, maintenance were also constantly working to keep everything looking pristine. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and we have already booked to go back next year and think this will now be one of our go to hotels! To sum it up we had an amazing holiday and found the staff, service, food & drinks and ambience to be of top quality.

Great friendly staff.Very comfortable hotel in a great sea front location. hotel and rooms are very clean.Regular maid service.Quiet hotel. Didn't try restaurant other than breakfast which was lots of choice and very good.

Great Hotel!

It's a great hotel for young families. We went with family for a wedding. We wouldn't go again as there were too many young children there for our liking. We would probably go to the Leonardo Plaza next door which is for adults only. We are in our late 60s so it was too noisy for us. Otherwise the room was nice and the food was good but too crowded and noisy in the restaurant. The pool was lovely but again it got too crowded in the afternoon but you can use the spa pool for a proper swim. Also the lounge bar area in the reception was very nice to sit and have a coffee or a drink with Aircon for comfort from the sun. Not enough toilets downstairs by the pool and restaurant so they were dirty most of the time. Bus stop outside is very convenient and cheap for trips out.

for the price we paid we felt we had overall a very good experience staying at this hotel. The room was lovely and the balcony area was big enough for 2 sun loungers and a 4 set dining table which got the sun from about 11am onwards (Sept time). My only negative point would be the cleanliness of the pool. All over our stairs was black mould which at times would float about and the grout was badly needing scraped so i felt myself dodging this when i was going in the pool which is a bit off putting. The pool did get cleaned once when we were there (12 days) which made it a bit better but not for long. Otherwise the room itself was very clean. The other downfall was at the swim up suites the bar was closed!? so no music/drinks which we were not told about when booking.
