Aphrodite Hills Golf & Spa Resort Residences - Junior Villas

This is an aesthetically pleasing resort, with pleasant grounds and exterior facades that give a sense of community. If you are a golfer, there are good facilities but that’s about it. Only one restaurant was open during our stay (50 euros per person for dinner); Costa closes at 3pm; a punnet of strawberries was 17 euros in the on-resort “Village Square market” and a towel was 33 euros. The pools were scandalously cold, even at the Spa; the interior of the apartment was dated (CD and DVD player, drab furnishing) although the apartment was spacious. It’s 30-90 minutes from the main tourist locations by car. An excursion for 2 to the Troodos mountains was 300+ euros.

We rented an elite villa on this resort. Villa was comfortable, clean and well equipped. In a good location so could easily walk to the village square. We paid to have the pool heated which was definitely worth it. Good resort particularly if you like to play golf. Liked the cleaners coming in every day to clean, very good. Would happily stay here again. You do need a car to get round the island and as others have said the on site supermarket is very expensive, good supermarket ten minute drive away.

Very nice hotel, very clean and the staff are great especially Chiara who served around the main pool . The main buffet restaurant was good but the a la carte restaurants were fantastic. The rib eye and lamb shank in the Italian and everything in the Mexican but especially the beef brisket .

The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic, the staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel very comfortable and relaxed, room clean and all areas immaculate, Tui staff were great and lots of information given about things to do, restaurants were great and something for everyone. Best a la carte restaurant was the Fig and Olive in my opinion, totally enjoyed our holiday and would recommend for couples and families.

A fantastic family holiday. We arrived and check in was simple. Glass of champagne on arrival and taken up to out rooms by some one from the front desk. Cases arrived about 5 minutes later. This hotel is lovely - the food is top quality and even the buffet restaurant where the food is obviously cooked en masse is very very good. We were a little disappointed with the fig and olive, the tiger prawns were the stand out thing from the starter menu and when we came to order we were told there were none left. Disappointed not to be told what was unavailable when seated but also to have something unavailable at 8pm on a Saturday night probably points to a little lack of planning. My steak was fine however my in laws chicken was dry and their vegetables were cold. They were sent back and in the 5-10 mins it took them to sort out the rest of our party had finished our meals. We were told that the vegetables were served with a lower temperature on purpose as this was the “ambient temperature” but it’s not really what you expect - the menu also makes no mention of this either so beware of this point. The jasmine restaurant was immense. We entered the restaurant and were taken to our table by what felt like an army of waiters, we were all sat and sorted out within seconds and served a shot of something which was a nice touch (this is what an a la carte restaurant should be like) the food was incredible and I would highly recommend the chocolate and banana pancake roll for dessert!) We didn’t eat at the Mexican as it was outdoor only and we preferred to sit in doors to eat and at the end of the week by the time we decided we’d give it a go - it was fully booked. Typical. What I would say though is that the smell from the place was beautiful. The main Bar - the Carob Lounge was a nice setting to end the evening with an outdoor terrace. There is usually live music in here and I must say the guy playing the guitar was very good. My daughter soon befriended a few other kids around her age and their evening was taken up playing with the cats that are also residents of the hotel and can be found outside on the terrace. The cats were friendly but worth reminding the kids that sometimes they probably want to be left alone as they do get ALOT of attention from a lot of the kids. There are plenty of swimming pools, the kids splash pool at the top end of the resort also has a smaller swimming pool next to it to be able to have a swim and it’s own bar. This pool seemed quieter than the others. There is an adults only pool at the bottom of the resort of course with its own bar, nice and quiet down there. There is also an activity pool although we didn’t go there. The main pool is split into two, an “upper” pool and a “lower” pool. We spent the majority of our time at the “lower” pool - where as there are no rules to this the younger kids seemed to gravitate towards the lower pool and the older kids / adults seemed to prefer the “upper” pool. Fantastic holiday. Lovely rooms. Beautiful gardens. Everywhere well kept and clean. Friendly staff who do an amazing job. The food is top class. The best we have had in any hotel. The speciality restaurants definitely worth a visit especially the Mexican. Plenty of quiet areas if you don’t want to be with children. Lots of activities for children and a great water park. The entertainment is excellent. Professional acts a few times a week. The Tui team are brilliant. Everything deserves 5* If we had to criticise anything it would be that the hotel is a little far out. You can get a bus into Paphos which takes about 30 minutes. This did not affect us and we had a fabulous holiday in a great hotel surrounded by lovely people.

We were met with a glass of champagne and a cold towel (all good so far) the staff showed us to our family room and at this point can I say all the staff make it a perfect holiday experience. The management at the Aphrodite Hills Resort must be so proud to have such a great team from Chefs, Kitchen porters to house keeping through to all at front of house they are perfect and work so hard to make you feel as though nothing is too much trouble. (Make sure you tip daily so as not to get just one person with a large tip at the end of your stay -Especially back of house staff!) I would definitely recommend a holiday here!

What a wonderful holiday. The food was great! Different themed nights throughout the week. You also get a la carte dining twice in your package holiday. The pools were clean, and there were plenty of sun beds. They do not allow you to reserve sunbeds, which is wonderful!! There are excursions you can book, but we just hired a car. The night entertainment is cheesy goodness as you'd, but there is some real talent included. This is a family holiday location, but there is an adults only pool and bar area. They sell floaties for the pool on site, but you are not allowed to use them in the pools, depending on which life guard is on duty. There are signs stating no floats so I don't know why they sell them really. Nice room, clean and a decent size. We had a great time, and I would go back.
