They share with us on where to have nice seafood etc. the room size is big but do note that the double bed is both queen size.
The amenities are good as well. They surprised us with birthday decorations.

This is a really nice hotel a distance away from JB Town, it's around a 20 to 30min drive depending on traffic. The room was nice and clean, the aircon was cold the no issue with the hot water. I stayed in the deluxe room which had a nice deep bathtub. a big issue is that the bathtub also served as the shower area, hence the floor was pretty wet. The bed was ok, the pillows felt old, but the bed was comfortable. lightings were good, and the room was bright enough at night, but the curtains didn't keep all of the lights out during the day. Bottle water was given in the room, plus there is a water filter at the lobby and in the breakfast area. the main issue with the stay was the Wi-Fi, it needed a long time and a few tries before it connected, and once it connected, it will last for around an hour before it gets disconnected (most likely an issue with the IP lease time, and the DHCP server not being able to cope with the amount of request), the internet does work and speed is fine, but it is unreliable, especially if you plan to work in the hotel. Location-wise, Food, and groceries are also really easy to procure, with multiple options just a stone's throw away, and even more choices down the road, there is a Today shopping center with a supermarket, a dollar store, and a DIY store, along with hairdressers, mobile phone and a simple cinema. The is a Lotus Hypermarket which is a little further if you can't find what you need there. Since it's out of town, there really isn't a huge shopping center, there is a mydin, kipmall and aeon not too far away. Breakfast was average, the food wasn't that fresh since we only got to it around 9 am. Some items that were finished were not replenished. The lack of black tea (you might want to bring the tea bag from the room) was also quiet, but I think this is due to the Muslim fasting period. Since it was included for us, we just ate, I wouldn't have bothered otherwise, there are too many better options around.

GOOD (well, more or less): *) I slept well as the bed is good enough. However, the bed is too short. I booked a room with king-size bed. Sleeping in the bed diagonally was the solution. *) The staff are friendly, but not all of them are able to speak English confidently. Especially housekeeping staff. BAD: *) Poor sound isolation. You can hear precisely what is being said in the hallway. And can hear what is happening in the neighbouring room. Many rooms have a connecting door, making the sound isolation even worse. *) ”breakfast included”. They only serve a buffet style, consisting of rice, noodles, (overly) hard-boiled eggs, chicken sausages, plus toast with butter, jam and kaya. And a choice between sweetened coffee or sweetened tea. It is not surprising that the breakfast room was pretty much deserted every time I was there: most people prefer to skip this. *) ”every room has wifi”. True, but the internet speed is so low that it isn't usable for reading email or a newspaper. Forget about watching photos or video. Unusable. *) The number lock on the safety box in my room was not working. As a solution the staff gave me the manager's key to it, for me to keep during my entire stay. Imagine this: if I would have had access to other rooms I would have been able to open their safety boxes. The staff did not record that I had that key in my possession. UGLY: *) The electricity outlet in the bathroom was a serious safety hazard. See attached photo. I don't know what they were thinking when they made this: I don't know what plug fits this dangling connector. The lack of isolation makes this dangerous in a room with a wet floor. I guess the conclusion of this story is that you get what you pay for. I paid RM107 per night for a so-called ”Executive Deluxe” room, which is an exaggeration for a standard double room.

I've stayed here for the second time. Still as impressed as ever The only slight problem is that the hot water kettle in the room doesn't work. Being able to check the equipment would be great. Overall, it's good. I like the friendly, smiling staff. Waiting to provide good service.

Outstanding
GGuest UserBeautiful place, both the pools were great and they had enough activities to keep kids busy. Room was excellent with comfy and clean sheets/towels. Personally enjoyed the bicycle rides and walks within the resort. Buffet spread was good and in room dining was good too. Will visit again
JJoannaEverything from arrival to departure was perfect! Customer service from concierge, reception, service crew. Room service personnel were very warm, friendly and smiley!!
Room was comfortable and clean. Food was great too!
Will definitely recommend and be back to stay with them again!
GGuest UserHotel was set in sprawling lands. Best feature was the waterpark literally just next door.
However I suppose as it was the school holidays, service was quite slow. Our luggage was not sent up to our room an hour after we checked in. When we called the reception, nobody knew where our luggage was, but was given the reassurance they would find it.
After waiting for another 10 mins, we decided to head up to the lobby and lo and behold! Our luggage was still at the concierge. We told the concierge that those were our luggage, and without checking, he just nodded his head and we took off with our luggage. No security checks. The concierge seems overwhelmed at the number of guests that day.
The hotel glass shelves had a layer of dust on it. Looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for a while, which was quite unacceptable being a 5 star hotel. Room was a bit too dark for me and the Aircon was constantly cold even after I adjusted the temperature to 32 degrees Celsius!
Breakfast was a riot with the large expansive halls being filled to the brim. Plates and cutlery was constantly unavailable. When the plates came, they seem to have been hastily washed with oil stains. Husband had a bad stomach after consuming some curry.
To be honest, the employees tried their best to be as hospitable as possible, but it was just unfortunate that we arrived at a time where it seems the entire hotel was severely shorthanded.
PPAIK KUANMost ever worst room I stayed. This is the second time we booked Lotus resort. Previously, we stayed Lotus beach reasort at Desaru. We are impressed with loft units and amenities. So this time round, we decided to stay another Lotus Resort at Pengerang.
We have booked 2 rooms standard King for 2 days which claim as near to beach. One is for us at 106. Another's room will be 108 for my parents in law.
We found big red ants over room 106 on the desk, floor, and toilet. Make complaint to indian receptionist twice. One technician came to inspect, spray anti-ant, and believed what we had complained. The Indian receptionist only allowed us to change room to 152, which is super far from my in-laws room 108. Claims that only room is available for standard King.
My in-laws room 108 is worse than us. They found a brunch of earth worms in the toilet bowl after flushed. Complaint to receptionist about issues. The same thing the technician came to solve was the problem.
We are DISAPPOINTED for what we paid. Not value for money to stay there. We prefer Lotus Beach Resort Bandar Penawar at Desaru.
MMarkMy son and I recently went to Lotus Desaru and it was really fun. I actually didn’t expect a lot of things from here, but it really surprised me. The room was spacious, with high ceilings and cozy lighting. We had a bedroom upstairs, which made it feel even bigger. It was clean and comfortable, perfect for the two of us. Their cable even had Nickelodeon, so that was a plus, and they also had some movie channels. They also have room service from one of their restaurants, it can take 30-40 minutes to arrive but the food was really nice and eating inside your own room has some perks to it.
My son absolutely loved the water park, and I enjoyed the pools too. There were plenty of activities to keep us entertained, and a good variety of restaurants with both seafood and western options. The breakfast was great, and the fact that you can catch the sunrise near the beach was a big bonus for us (make sure to head to the restaurant before 8 am, which we did).
The beach was also beautiful with white sand and much better than I anticipated. The only thing that made me think twice about going back to the beach was that there was a rope attached to a buoy of some kind. First, I stepped on it and got small cuts on the sole of my right foot, and then I hit it again with my left, but this time, I hit the top part of my foot, resulting in even bigger cuts. I had to buy two band-aids (which were available nearby at the souvenir shop) to stop the bleeding. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who had that experience.
I thought the ride from Johor Bahru to Desaru would take long but it only took about 1.5 hours by Grab. The fare from JB to Lotus on Saturday morning was RM255, but oddly enough, the ride back to JB was only RM130. Not sure why, but either way, it’s really not far at all for families coming from Singapore looking for a beach getaway like this.
We had an amazing time (aside from that injury), and we are actually booked to go back in October with my two sons and wife, who couldn’t join last time. I highly recommend it for families who want a short ride and time off from the busy Singapore life.
IIdaYaya IsmailFrom check in to check out all was a breeze, staff was friendly, very accommodating and helpful. Only downside was their cleanliness. Need to upkeep and improve in that area. Breakfast spread was aplenty. Swimming pool great, but lots of sand in it, understandable as it is near to the beach. So far in my 3d2n stay it was safe. Nothing sus. Low crowd too, maybe sg holidays ending period. Overall a nice stay.
GGuest UserYear end means holiday time for my little family. Arrived here quite early in the afternoon. Being promised that once the room is ready, the receptionist on duty will then give us a call, yet do assume that due to other urgent commitment and / or poor telecommunication coverage, it was no avail. (Disclaimer : my spouse got SMS informing that Maxis coverage will be temporarily affected at the current location, yet I never get one, although utilizing the very same provider) Just trying our luck to check in an hour early from prescribed time and viola! our room was readied accordingly. Room was adequately kept, small stains detected at the duvet, bidet sprayer malfunctioned. Not to be so fussy, we do embraced the imperfect condition accordingly. The room allocated to us in which purposely selected for sea view was nice. The hotel do situated not too far from other establishment. there is a residential area situated approximately 2km from the hotel, namely Taman Bayu Damai, in which do contained shophouses and basic necessity, if need do arise. Yet we did getting our daily doses of foods and other necessity down towards the south, in which nearer to Sungai Rengit. The foods readied at the hotel (in our case breakfast) were less then adequate in quality, but got nothing to complained about. Due to the time we have, we did embarked on sight seeing walkabout at the premises. Some of the attractions were abandoned, might be due to the ill effect of continuous MCO enforcement for the past 2 years. The beach was nice, but due to the timing of Monsoon, it will be not advisable to dwell into usual sea and beach activities too much. My two boys enjoyed their time playing with the sands, with much cautionary steps undertaken. Hopefully, as per my title of this review, time will heal this establishment, thus will be then enable them to offer their best package to prospectus guest.
AAhkimbearbearPlace is quiet and peaceful for a mini retreat. Staff service was fast and respectful. However, there are improvements to be made. Such as cleanliness of the room which is quite dirty.
AasreneTunamaya unlike the outside look, first image you will feel it like very old building, and we were worried about the room all this thing. After we get the room, the room is perfectly clean, the toilet is clean and acceptable. I can see they do not clean the floor at balcony, it is ok, there have more fun at outside. The biggest advantages is the hotel is walking distance to beach which my daughter very like it. Breakfast is ok, simple and just nice. The outside restaurants are walking distance, this also better than other hotels. This is important because of going to town is about 30-35minutes by car.
