Kota Kinabalu Hotels with Gym

I initially stayed 2 nights January 2025, climbed Mt Kinabalu, and came back for another night. Different but similar rooms. Very comfortable bed, great shower; mini-fridge and safe also available. Restaurant served good food. A pity the Spa wasn’t open as after my mountain climb I could hardly walk and my legs and back badly needed a massage! Hamizam Bin Ismail, the Front Office Manager, was always very friendly and eager to assist wherever he could.

Good price come with breakfast. Room is spacious. Breakfast basic and acceptable. One BIG PLUS POINT : ALL staffs is fantastic! Absolutely friendly and professional. This makes a main reason why have so many people book this place. Although the building wasn’t very new.

Location is excellent as it is accessible to quite a number of eateries, supermarts, shopping malls and attractions. The 3 bedroom suite is spacious and comfortable. However the room facing away from the sea is noisy with traffic noise (especially motorbikes screeching away).

Located conveniently nearby waterfront, shops and entertainment. The appearance of the deco, finishings and corridor could do with some love as it seems a little outdated. The acoustics and ambience of the room did not balance well, as neighbours could be heard clearly and anybody that past in the corridor. Perhaps think of putting soft textures inside each room (rug/carpet, etc) rather than having hard surfaces so that it can absorb the noise and quieten the room. Nevertheless, to thank the housekeeping team, i wrote a small hand written note and left some tips. Unfortunately for me however, I accidentally left my air pods when i checked out. I contacted the hotel but no luck. I have evidence that it was in the hotel but seems like some cleaner picked it up but did not declare it as lost and found. Thus it was never returned to me. A sour ending to what wouldve been a pleasurable stay

I booked the city view room, but at the end got a corner room with a view of city, sea and sunset! 🌆 Couldn’t even dreamed about better room😇 Room itself is very spacious, bed is huge and very comfortable. I booked without breakfast so can’t not say anything about it. But the hotel is really worth the money. Little downside is there a big night club in front of the hotel and even with good sound isolations you can hear some music beats But it’s mostly on weekends

Hotel grandis is the best hotel I have ever stayed in kota Kinabalu this is my second time stay at the hotel. Before I have stayed in Hilton, Mercure, Hyatt but still I feel grandis is more comfortable because of its location, easy access to mall, big rooms, comparing other hotel like Hilton, Mercure the rooms are very small no bath tub or sea view. We book a deluxe room in grandis we had a sea view, the rooms are spacious, bed is very comfortable my kid enjoyed the bath tub, perfectly organised room, swimming pool and gym also available at the roof top. Good thing is that they have paid parking, buffet breakfast was pretty decent,easy access to Suria Sabah mall.

Lovely hotel, a little old (it opened in 1977) but you can feel it has got a lot of character. Kudos to EVIS from Bell Service, he’s a humble gentlemen who loves to engage with his guests. He assisted me with my luggage and escorted me to my room. He knows the hotel inside out and loves to share his insights. Also a shout out to MARY from front desk, she is amazing. She is multi functional with assisting me to check-in PLUS helping me with concierge matters regarding my flight ticket. Exceptional staff. Thank you for having me!

The location is a bit far from the city centre but easily accessible with car. The BEST part of this hotel is they have parking for the guests. The room is spacious and clean. The checkin process took around 15-20 minutes. But checkout is very fast. They have cafe, gym, swimming pool. They provide basic amenities. BUT the bathroom cleanliness need to be improve. The sink, toilet seat and the bathtub got mold on it. The ac is not cool enough and the ceiling fan is not working or maybe it just a decoration ? I tried to contact the front desk but no one answering. No slippers. The iron board needs to change.

not bad but not so great，good service specially the guard and security are so nice and kind but the facilities inside are so old and not very good，the price we make reserved is a bit high overall is good hotel anyway

Fantastic hotel getaway , 😃 love the pools, suitable for family with kids as little magellan provides various activities for your little ones. Definitely will come back 😁
