Hotels near Gaya Souvenir Centre in Kota Kinabalu

Strategic hotel for night market on friday and saturday night. This is second time i choose this hotel coz comport for me bring 2 kids for famili room at ATAP HOTEL. Staf hotel also very friendly. It good if room ready at 2pm also can check in.

I was glad I have made the right decision to stay here. Wad here for Mt Kinabalu climb. I checked out and store my luggage here for the climb and came back the next day. Also worth mentioning was the Italian restaurant downstairs, Little Italy, was quite popular among the locals.

The location is good. The room was decent, spacious and clean. For rm150/night withour breakfast, i believe it was a good bargain since it is located at prime area. You can just walk to todak waterfront and Filipin market. But beware if you park outside of the hotel without the parking coupon, you’d be fined rm30.

The room is clean,staff is friendly and assisting..but the toilet is so small..almost bump my head to the wall when i want to sit on the bowl..not recommended if you are a light sleeper since its located near the main road..but if u are a deep sleeper, it might not be the problem..

Everything was just nice, check in n out fast and smooth even last minute booked. Nice view from the 23rd floor .. But it would be nicer if there were amenities like a knife, water heater/water dispenser and wifi. But everything is good enough for me and my family . Near to Pasar Filipine and night market too. Got a swimming pool. Easy access to all attraction in city..worth every penny ❤️

New hotel. The room is small but clean with comfortable bed. It was quiet even though it was full house. Door beeps when not closed properly. Friendly staff. It is a convenient location. Two malls within walking distance. Ample choice for food. Two disadvantages in the room. The bathroom. One shower will wet the whole bathroom which makes the tile very slippery. There is no chair in the room. I have to stand when needed to do some work on my laptop. I had to place the laptop on a high platform, about waist height. Would recommend a simple high chair.

The hotel was nice and comfy. Just a little loud because we can hear people's voices talking from outside.

Excellent location. Very near to waterfront, shopping mall and eateries. However, hotel management need to improve on bathroom cleanlines especially on behind the toilet seat and shower wall accumulated with mold. I stayed for 4 nights and housekeeping was missed on one occassion. It is a waste such a nice hotel in prime location with that kind of services.

I recently stayed at Mercure Kota Kinabalu, and my overall experience was a mixture of positives and negatives. While this may seem like a minor issue, it did impact our overall satisfaction, as the promise of a particular view was one of the factors influencing our choice. Another inconvenience was the lack of dedicated parking facilities at the hotel. This meant that my husband had to purchase parking coupons daily, adding an unexpected expense to our stay. Moreover, the strict enforcement of parking regulations by 8 am posed a challenge, especially for guests who preferred to start their day later. In conclusion, Mercure Kota Kinabalu is a decent choice for a short stay, offering comfortable accommodations and friendly service. However, potential guests should be aware of potential discrepancies in room assignments and the absence of on-site parking facilities, which may affect the overall convenience and cost of their stay.

If u drive, its very very very hard to park cause you are finding public parking, there is a night market beside the hotel so its really impossible to find parking. But the room quite ok , service is ok also
