We stayed here one night at the end of a holiday in Kalymnos; to help with ferry and flight timings. Arrival was at check in time and the lobby was fairly empty. Our room had been prepaid and was a deluxe sea view. Sadly Neptune fell flat - I guess we’d been spoiled at the Kantouni Beach but this was neither sea view nor deluxe (check out their rooms if you want both these things and more). To be fair, you can just see the sea if you don’t mind the 10 foot pampus and other trees in the way. It was otherwise ok. The air con was set at 20, not far off what we heat our homes to in the UK. We wandered back up to reception and asked if we could have the room temperature lowered. The response was fairly brusque with the male receptionist telling us that was it 20 and would only ever be 20 and he kept repeating this. I asked for a fan. Not a huge ask in a ‘luxury 5 star hotel’ but it seemed to annoy. We left, unsure of what we would get. After a little exploring and sampling our (very welcome) ‘welcome drink’ we returned to our room to a note with a sesame biscuit. There was no fan and I was about to ring reception when my husband discovered the air con had been chilled down to 16c. A good result but why tell us it was set at 20 and could go no lower if that were not the case? You can request a lower temperature at reception, but it is on an individual basis. Dinner was in the Asian influenced restaurant and whilst it was all undercover, it was open to the elements so very warm and stuffy but he food was good, tasty and well presented but nothing out of the ordinary. With check out set for noon, we had some time by the adults only pool which was really nice. Returning to our room to shower and leave for the airport I realised the hairdryer was not working. It was fine for 10 seconds then seemed to stop. I called reception and advised them we were checking out at noon. They promised to send the electrician. He never materialised and I continued to dry my hair with 10 seconds on, 1 minute off hairdryer antics. I got there but it was painful. A couple of points to note, the shower - a sort of wet room - would not drain of water and the drains had that really awful smell. You do get used to it but it’s rather grim. The floor of the whole room was sticky and with damp towels on the floor after our shower it was clear it wasn’t clean when they went very black and grubby. Housekeeping take note. Wash the floor, don’t just swish the dirty water from one end to another. Upon checkout (same member of staff who was intent on a 20c air con standard) we were told the electrician had called but our ‘do not disturb’ sign was on our door. Not so, but I really couldn’t be bothered as I was never going to convince the staff member. Why didn’t he knock? Because he didn’t come. Overall, this is an ok resort, I wouldn’t want to stay here very long (or again). It was mostly German guests and did feel like a glorified Butlins. It cer

What was Kos a surprisely fun island for a week and what had we a great weather in the last week of October. We have had many Greek islands and all have their own character, but Kos is certainly at the top 3. Hotel Atlantis is a good hotel for the price we paid for it. Rooms were dated and could be renovated, but everything was all and worked, we had a family room with his two, not very needed with his two, but now we had each a private clothes room and a third room where we were sleeping. All in clusive was great, for everyone enough of what you want.

We enjoyed our stay here. Ill list as pros and cons: PROS - the location is great. Less than 10 mins drive from airport, in Kardamena which is quieter than Kos town and the hotel itself is not in the town but a 10 min walk along the coast away which for us was even more perfect as we were looking for a relaxing break but close enough to places to go out and eat. - 3x swimming pools on site, no problem getting sun loungers though we came in October so might be an issue peak season - love that the rooms are in blocks over the hill. We got a great sea view and it was nice to walk out into sunshine and not hotel corridors. - everything was clean. From rooms bathrooms hotel lobbys and pool sides - hotel is on steep hills but there are lovely gentlemen happy to take people up and down in golf buggies. (We were happy to walk most the time). - everyone is really friendly - our room (twin room) was really spacious inc. the bathroom. Beds were comfortable. Air con worked great. Good balcony with drying rack. Patio door had a mosquito screen so we could open the door and close the screen. Smart tv also so could access netflix! Tea coffee facilities in room. - really comfortable sun loungers. CONS - would have liked to have massage -but was fully booked as theres only one therapist. Book in advance. - asked for an iron and was told “they can’t guarantee theyll find one but they will look”. It didnt turn up and i spent the holiday wearing creased clothes. A 5* hotel should have an iron!!! - breakfast was underwhelming. It was fine and you wont leave hungry but as a frequent traveller, it certainly wasnt a 5* spread, particularly hot food (or lack of it). - outside of meal times you wont get much food. We were booked for breakfast only (not all inclusive) and our flight landed early afternoon. We got to the hotel around 3ish starving and just wanted a sandwich or similar and was told lunch service was over and the a la carte dinner started at 6 (which we needed a reservation for). Poolside has a few snacks which the bar guy was lovely enough to offer me and i was grateful for, but would have been livid if i had to pay for it as it was nothing more than a dry breadroll with a slice of cheese and also pretty rubbish if thats all on offer outside of set mealtimes. We had just landed and didnt want to go hunting for food in the town so just bear this is mind. - room was only cleaned once during our 3 night stay. I dont mind reusing towels but floor and bathrooms should be cleaned. I guess we could have requested a clean which we didn’t. - “beach” in front of hotel is not a beach but a ***** of mud with some sunloungers. Not the hotels fault I suppose but can’t really advertise it as such. Nicer beach few minutes away for public that we used. Overall we were happy with our stay and would come again, but some areas of improvement needed which made me feel this is more a 4* and not a 5*.

We stayed at one of the suites with my family. High quality linen and amenities, wonderful views of the pool and the beach, loved the spacious balcony overlooking the pool and the very comfy bed. We tasted delicious food at the property, the kids were more than happy with the pool and the food. The staff was very friendly and polite, ready to funfil all our requests. And of course the room and all the property were spotlessly clean, you could see members of the staff cleaning and tidying the pool and public space. We will come back for sure once in Kos!!!

Exceptionally clean and really spacious bedroom. There was myself and three children travelling we had a junior suite which was superb. The rooms were clean and cosy large balcony. The pool was really a nice vibe with snack bar. Just make sure you order before three. I would like to commend the staff at breakfast for their hospitality their friendliness always having a smile always ready to fix a problem. Special thanks to the reception staff and margarita , Michael and Natasha at breakfast who is always smiling and ready to help. And the guy at the snack bar sorry can’t remember your name. Thimida who I have just found out is the manager is humble and very welcoming. Christy and lilabet at the front desk. Patient with all my taxi requests. There is so much to see and do here . We stayed for 4 nights 5 days and we felt like we had been away for ages. The weather was amazing also some of the shops and restaurants were not open yet as it is not for season. Now for some people this might be a downside however it was super quiet no queues for anything easy to get a cab and I like strolling in the streets, without feeling the pressure of a crowd. There is some great shopping here to some bargains to be had . Portes of Greece and little boutiques around that area. Don’t forget your olive oil , olives ,hammam towels . Everything to enjoy is a minimum 10 to 15 minutes away. One of the best things we experienced was the town centre and the architectural museum is within good distance. We also went to Zia which was fun to see the sunset. Eat at Olympia 1 or 2 . Good food slouvaki and mousakka gyros and of course Greek salad . I found the food reasonably priced spending on average 40 euro for main course for four. Breakfast buffet was great enough variety. April evenings can get chilly . We always got a sunbed There’s is little shop for snacks and water next door Massage available and wellness centre Bring a roku box if you have one .. Netflix works well here especially for the kids in the evening. I will definitely be back to enjoy this island at this hotel

absolutely lovely hotel. i stayed here with my family for a week and couldn’t recommend more to anyone who’s looking for a holiday! the hotel is only a 11 minute drive from the airport so anyone who hates travelling far this is perfect for them. the entertainment every night was fantastic. i’ve seen allot of reviews saying the rooms aren’t clean but our rooms were cleaned everyday and fresh bedding and the cleaners were lovely was able to leave my things in my room and come back to them without them being taken. the pools are lovely but not enough chairs for everyone. the pool bar food was alright. food such as pizzas rolls and wraps. however the portion sizes were very small and there wasn’t allot of variety for people. the meals were alright 3 courses a day but yet again not allot of variety for people especially picky eaters however the cooks were lovely . there were activity’s to do during the day such as water activity’s and the entertainers brang allot of joy and energy to anyone who they met. there is also a kids club for the little ones. the hotel is only a 25 min bus ride to kos (the town) for €30 for the bus trip i would definitely recommend and allot to do and see there. there is also the lildo waterpark. there is a free bus for it and i would recommend as it’s something to do if you are someone who likes to do something. there is also a go kart track not far from the hotel. there is a private beach in the hotel which is never overcrowded and is lovely. the beach bar does some of the same food as the pool bar. all the staff were welcoming and lovely from start to finish. A big praise to Aaron for being a funny and kind person. from giving people lifts anywhere on his go kart to bringing joy to peoples day. he is friendly and always says hello to anyone he sees and is a very lovely member of staff. also a big thanks to one of the mangers Tiffany who was absolutely lovely to us and drove my mum and dad to the village when the busses weren’t running on a Sunday she is amazing. and all the other members of staff were so kind especially the pool bar girls always having a smile on their faces! there is a shop right opposite the hotel which is good for snacks or gifts. there is also a rent a car shop next to it where you can rent cars and bikes etc. the air conditioning in the room was lovely especially on the hot nights and kept us cool. overall i would definitely recommend staying here as it was a lovely hotel and would definitely come back again!

Couldn’t recommend visiting here more highly. Myself and my girlfriend stayed in a 1st row bungalow with private pool and it was perfect, amazing facilities and staff were brilliant at low season. Especially Rafaella who helped me plan a proposal to my girlfriend with a wonderful private dinner. The reception staff were very helpful and would strive to answer anything quickly - we arrived at around 2/3am and the check in was smooth and informative even at this time. There isn’t an amazing selection for vegetarians but you can get by, similarly in low season there isn’t a great deal open but we hired bikes and went on a few tours which was perfect for the week. Some of the rooms were a little worn and we were left without AC but at low 20degrees this wasn’t such a problem. If you are looking for a perfect week away with attentive staff, good food and drinks, this is the perfect place.
