Absolutely do not come here if you're a British family with children, there is nothing to do here, the food is atrocious and aimed purely at the German/Polish holiday makers, my son laid (2 years old) laid on the bed in the evening and told me he was hungry and i cried as i couksnt feed him anything substantial as there is nothing for him here, cold meats and cheeses for breakfast, lunches and dinners are monotonous a very slight change to a meat on offer and its cold anyway, the all inclusive I didn't even bother with as the beer tastes so watered down, the only other alcoholic drinks you can get is Brandy, Rum, Ouzo and cheap nasty red and white wine, any cocktails you have to pay for its an absolute JOKE!!! the snacks in the day are stale baguette with cold meat and cheese and slices of what looked like fly ridden madeira cake. Our room was a travesty when we first arrived, bath wasn't running, shower curtain wasn't long enough to drape over the bath, lights weren't working, all in all don't come here if you A. have kids (nothing for them to eat) B. Like to do anything within walking distance, there is nothing here apart from hotels and baron land of dead grass, oh and 3 cows chained up in a field, I will never come back to Greece if you paid me I'm writing this and still have 3 days of this holiday to go, if I could I would have gone after the first day it is that bad!! Advice: Go self catering and eat out GAIA VILLAGE IS AWFUL

There are no words to describe how amazing this holiday has been! From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with nothing but kindness, good energy and amazing staff! We arrived late at night and were given a lunch box as we'd missed all meals. The rooms were lovely and the pillows - wow! Best pillow I've ever slept on! The restaurant staff worked so hard but always smiled and couldn't help you enough! The food was amazing too, so much variety! The entertainment team were fab, we had so much fun with them. Then the bar staff, especially Andi and Luli, were what really made it for us! They were very professional but so much fun! We really loved sitting at the bar with them and getting to know other guests. We've definitely made some friends for life! I always say I would never visit the same place twice but Andi and Luli especially make us want to come back there! Thank you to everyone at Gaia village hotel for giving us the well deserved break we needed and for making it everything we wanted and more!

Beautiful grounds which were kept clean and neat. We had a superior 2 bed room which was spacious with 4 single beds, but we were given a terrace which was opposite the reception so wasn’t overly happy with that. The shower over the bath was a bit rubbish as the shower head was in the middle of the wall pointing towards the bathroom floor and the shower curtain belongs in the bin. For what I paid the bathroom was disappointing. 5 min walk to the beach down a gravel track, the beach has lots and lots of sun beds €5 per bed, there is also water sports. The beach was great. 5 min walk to the town and bus stop, Lots of shops, restaurants, and bars. Greek night in Zia not to be missed, we booked this through the TUI rep. 7 course meal was fabulous , as much wine as you can drink too, not much choice for kids and there drinks need to be purchased along with any other drinks if wine isn’t for you. The hotel - No tea/coffee making facilities in the room, this frustrated me a little. I want to have time in the room to wake up before I go eat, so I don’t always want to go straight to the buffet for a coffee. We ended up buying cold coffee in a can from the town (cheaper than the on-site shop) and put those in the little fridge in the room. That cost us €6 a day. All inclusive- you are only allowed filter coffee and herbal tea. The coke/Diet Coke taste the same and the pop is pretty much flat. It all comes out of a pump, if you don’t want water out of the pump the bar charge you €1.50 for a bottle, which I just thought was ludicrous when it was so hot everyday, I only tend to drink bottled water abroad and after paying for all inclusive I would expect that to be included. I had read on trip advisor the only alcohol was beer, wine, rum and ouzo, when we arrived Gin was also on the all inclusive, they would fill half your cup with it and you couldn’t really taste the gin. You have to pay for cocktails which start at €5. Food - Was ok, one morning I fancied scrambled egg, got to my table with it and it was freezing cold, didn’t eat it. Another morning I had yogurt with fruits and nuts that was nice. But there was also carrots and broccoli served with breakfast which was strange, no one really touched it either so they probably heated them up at lunch time. Lunch and dinner was very samiy, one evening they served Brussels sprouts as the vegetable option. I like Brussel sprouts, these were not nice, Pork in sauce was on the menu every day twice a day along with pasta, rice , spag bowl and white fish. Then you would have a quiche or a cheese pie, or breaded turkey stuffed with ham and cheese, at lunch there were chips, The salad choice was good. Bread was stale every time. The chicken nuggets and fish fingers for the kids were brown inside and just weird. Overall the food felt very samey and we ended up eating dinner out a lot as we couldn’t stomach it each evening. The best evening for food was the Greek night which they do on a Monday, that was gr

We have just returned from a week here and the pros definitely outweigh the cons. The rooms served their purpose, we had 4 adults in a 2 bedroom room which was fine as we only slept/showered so didn’t need too much space. (We do love a cup of tea/coffee when we wake so would recommend taking a travel kettle and some decent sized mugs for this as tea/coffee facilities are not provided) Mostly a friendly, helpful team. Especially in the dining area. The 2 pool areas were great, one slightly quieter than the other. Plenty of sun loungers that are good quality/comfortable. Pool bars at both. Limited drink selection for all inclusive but enough to keep you refreshed in the day (gin is now included too!) Great location to explore the local area, very close to the beautiful beach, bars and restaurants and further around the island. We enjoyed a 3 island boat trip booked with Tigaki Express on the PIrates of the Agean boat too. So the biggest flaw is the food, we were all inclusive but whilst we always intend to eat out for most meals on holiday it is always nice to have the option of not having to leave the hotel sometimes. There was always a varied variety but never great quality and pretty much always cold! Please don’t go here hoping to have all of your meals in the dining room as you will be disappointed!

Lovely hotel it was very clean and tidy, the maid came everyday to the rooms. Lovely restaurant the food was nice could always find something to eat, there are two pools to choose from and plenty of sun loungers. The bar at night is lively with entertainment, the two brothers behind the bar Luli and Andi are brilliant, very friendly, lively and entertaining, they make it a great experience. Luli looks after the bar through the day he always welcoming and cheerful and look after you. The hotel is not too far from the beach and small town if you fancy going out for a drink or food. All in all great holiday and we will be visiting again.

An amazing holiday! Staff are friendly cannot do enough for you. Entertainment staff are excellent and the bar staff are outstanding Luli and Andi (two brothers) are truly brilliant, just amazing down to earth people. Human kindness is at its peak here you will never find a better place than this I cannot fault it at all. The food is exceptional and if you’re too fussy then the town is only a 2 minute walk nearby and there are many amazing bars and restaurants to pick from. Especially is you come out of peak season it’s very calm and overall peaceful and positive environment to spend your holiday in. We will be coming back next year!!! 😊😊😊

Sat having my last coffee before flying home tonight. This has been the best family holiday nothing has been too much trouble. Relaxing when you want it and upbeat when you need it to be. The staff can not do enough, and the place is clean and tidy. All food has been good and plenty, if you are fussy there are plenty of places to eat out. We are booking again for next year.
