Eleni Hotel

Just got back from this beautiful hotel. The cleanest place we have ever stayed. Room 27 top floor had a lovely view. This family work so hard to make sure your needs are met. Basic breakfast..and a little background music would have been nice. But can not fault this wonderful hotel. Near to all restaurants and bars. Supermarket very close. Thanks Eleni hotel.

So we are preparing to leave the Eleni Hotel in Kefelos. As a budget hotel it doesn't come better than this in our experience. Rooms, yes they are dated and could do with a face lift but cleaned everyday except Sundays. And place is spotless. Personal issue I do not like a shower curtain. Small fridge in room and hairdryer. Bring a travel kettle if you like a cuppa in your room. Pool and bar and beds. Spot on, cheap drinks and good bar snacks, Pool is spotless. We are leaving after 2 weeks here and could not complain. Breakfast although plain, bread, jam, eggs and cheese or ham and cheese, tea coffee, fresh orange. Tip ask for toast and they will provide it. Lovely people met from UK, Germany, Russia and Holand. Overall fully recommended for a nice quiet family run hotel with basic amenities, and basics for breakfast. Thank you.

What a beautiful family run hotel. The whole place is spotlessly clean . The family make you feel welcome and will do anything to help. They work tirelessly to make your stay go smoothly. Free WFI throughout . Breakfast is simple coffee/tea /juice , fresh bread , eggs, cheese,jam. The pool is so clean and clear. Sunbeds free and very gets busy. Rooms have tv,good shower ,balcony. All spotless. Eleni perfectly situated. 2mins from the supermarket and main road .5 mins from the beach. So peaceful. I slept well .would I go back. YES.

Very nice hotel, nice staff, daily cleaning of the rooms,overall clean hotel, peace and quiet .Good breakfast, nice hotel swimming pool and a bar with a greece salad is delicious.Would you like peace and rest from everyday life, I highly recommend HOTEL ELENI.Will definitely visit this place in the future.Thank you for a nice stay with You .Tkanki you🤩

Very dissatisfied the hotel owners we not welcoming to us right from the begining. As the older gentleman showed us to our room he said we were lucky as it was his last room, we had booked this a year in advance so didn't quite understand why we had the last room available. As the holiday ensues,we became more and more disappointed with the breakfast on offer and no other choice given. We have stayed in many hotels and self catering establishments in Kefalos and have never know such an unfriendly place to stay. We booked bed and breakfast which on the first morning was apparent there was no choice other than eggs and ham or eggs and cheese. No fruit,yoghurt nothing, yes the hotel was very clean but at the cost of not being able to use our room between the hours of 1500 and 1800. Not ideal when you come from the beach and need to get showered to go out for something to eat as there were no facilities in the room to even make a drink. Nothing to drink from, and no way to make a sandwich or anything. When relaxing by the pool the owner would wander round and adjust the brolly for no rhyme or reason. The shower was broken and when we raised the issue the owner he just said does it work? When we said yes he then replies well it's not broken. We did not feel comfortable there the beds were like sleeping on straw mattresses. The pool however, was beautiful but sadly due to the owner constantly trying to adjust our sun shade we spent our time at the beach. But then very frustrated when we came back and couldn't get into our room. We were told by the elderly lady,it's her house she will clean when she wants. Never ever would we stay there again and it totally ruined our holiday. We had to buy a kettle just so we could make a drink in the morning, and we then had to pay for breakfast every day on top of what we had already paid for breakfast at the hotel. It was stressful and uncomfortable to stay there.

If you want to stay in a small hotel located close to restaurants and beaches owned by one cantankerous Greek family, be their guest! I love all things Greek, unfortunately the hospitality I have enjoyed over the years across the Islands was absent here. It has everything going for it. A lovely pool which is perfect to relax in, a bar with food at good prices and clean rooms. Unfortunately, on several occasions, the family made their views heard about how guests should act. This extended to the use of air conditioning (which is a paid for extra) and how bringing sand back from the beach made everything dirty. I think they forget people are on holiday. While it's important people are respectful during their stay, people come to relax. As a solo traveler, I felt uncomfortable during these times which was unfortunate. I was told off in front of guests (initially assuming this was a joke about sand). It soon dawned on myself and others around that this was a problem for them, with one couple stating how they had been told off for getting makeup on their towels. This is a real shame as the hotel itself has much going for it. If you are looking for a great value getaway, and don't mind somewhat dated rooms, the hotel could be for you. As per other reviews, the breakfast is shockingly bad. Baguette, spread and jam. Alongside instant coffee and tea. Plus, cheese and ham. I only ate there once and ventured to Corner Cafe (which I recommend) for breakfast. Coffee is 💪. The family who own the hotel I couldn't quite work out. They often seemed annoyed or irritated and seem to have a hatrid for those who request air conditioning. At 75 euros for a week's use - I think I can decide on how and when I use it. If it's use is too much, I would suggest removing this as an option when guests book. I think it's perhaps time to hang up the hotel coat. On one occasion the bed linen had stains on which I asked to be changed. This was done immediately. The owners blamed those who wear oil based tanning products?? After this, the family seemed to have something against me for bringing it to their attention. While I only paid £22 per night for a room, cleanliness should extend to linen. Attention to detail was lacking. Inside the rooms, the facilities are dated and cramped. The shower head holder was broken, awkwardly propped up on the wall. The mattress was uncomfortable and rock hard. This hotel provides a budget friendly option if you are looking for value for money. It is well located next to all you need, including a super market less than a 4 minute walk away. Unless you are desperate and want to stay at a hotel on a shoestring, do not stay here. Avoid!

This place was unbelievable. The rooms were so clean, cleaned almost every day and fresh towels. The family who run it are so welcoming and it made the stay 100x better. Walking distance from many restaurants. Poldo had the best food the whole holiday by far. The pool was clean and a**osphere was great. We can't wait to come back next year.

Currenly still here We honestly can't fault this hotel. Yes, it is basic but spotlessly clean! Room cleaned daily to a very high standard. Personally I didn't rate breakfast (personal choice!) My partner enjoyed it. Coffee and juice were basic but not awful. Pool is amazing. Bar available. Perfect location. Loads of bars and restaurants around. Right in the middle of the resort, but not too busy so perfect for a chilled break. Just what we wanted. WiFi is free. Sadly, for some rooms you probably wouldn't be able to access it from your room. We were lucky enough to be in room D with pool and sea view so could get WiFi also. The family that own and run this work their socks off, and are really friendly and helpful.
