We were supposed to be doing an escorted tour to Turkey which was cancelled last minute. Booked this with my local Tui shop. Check-in was very prompt and we stayed in block 3 which was near reception and the main pool although the hotel complex was very large but had buggies for transporting people to more remote accommodations. The rooms were not small comfortable beds with good air conditioning. Shower was ok but awkwardly situated above the bath did the job. As for the decor, it was perfectly acceptable to me. Big thank you to housekeeping as rooms were spotlessly clean. Pool areas are good with plenty of loungers with a few pools to choose from. Water Park is good fun even with no kids and the cafe there is excellent. Food and beverage, I found the quality of food excellent, no issues with choice and quality. Nice breakfast choice, delicious salads at lunch and a few speciality restaurants, which you book on the app as often as you like. My favourite was the Italian and would have happily paid for my Pizza 🍕 and cheesecake. Chinese good and although Greek was buffet it was a lot more chilled than the main dining room. My only complaint perhaps guests could be prompted to use hand gel when entering dining areas as this was very lax. As there was always a member of staff at the entrance who could do this. Unfortunately, some guest's personal hygiene is not what it should be. The drinks were okay nothing special but managed to find something which I liked and stuck to that although not a big drinker it was not a problem. Plastic cups at poolside so I understand why glass is not given. No long queues for drinks and service very good except the piano bar which was a bit sporadic. The main bar by reception service was excellent, big thank you to Arnold who kept my glass replenished without ever asking, how's that for service? My wife enjoyed the shows although not my thing. Good gym which I use regularly with a nice indoor pool. The hotel and grounds are well maintained and the beach area is very chilled, have to pay a small fee of €2.50 for the lounger which ok with me, stops people from reserving loungers. Most staff were very good and seemed happy and were glad to help. A lot of cats around the hotel which are looked after. Not seen as a nuisance and very much part of the hotel which I thought was nice. You can tell a lot about people and an organization in how they treat animals and I thought this was good to see. Bus to Kos Town outside the hotel but can be very unpredictable, taxis not easy to come by. It's about a 45-minute walk and very flat to Kos Town which we did Very enjoyable stay and greatly exceeded my expectations for the price I paid. No issues with food and I have stayed in hotels more expensive than this and had a much worse experience. Rooms are comfortable and a very relaxing space. I had an enjoyable calming stay and would definitely stay again.

Having arrived home a couple of days ago after a week’s long stay here’s my view on how our week went (and no doubt ruffle a few feathers). It’s worth noting we travelled as a family of 3 with a 3 year old: 1. Flight We flew from Birmingham and chose this airport due to the much more desirable flight times compared to other airports such as East Midlands and Manchester. We’d read about the security gate issues prior but were able to circumvent all this by using the Fast Track service. In total we were probably through security etc in 30 minutes. TUI did email a few days before advising to arrive at the airport 3 hours before departure rather than the usual 2 hours due to these ongoing works. The flight itself took off on time and we arrived without a hitch. Getting through Kos airport was also fairly quick considering we were one of the ones at the back of the queue. Finding the coach was also no issue having received the text message update from TUI. Going home Kos airport was very efficient and we flew through check-in and security. If only UK airports could apply the same efficiency (I know footfall here is much lower). 2. Transfers We stuck with the coach transfer and as per the TUI app we were the 3rd drop offs. It took around 1 hour 15 minutes and again we arrived without issue. Going home we received a TUI app notification and the coach was on time and took us to the airport 3. Check In This is where our initial impressions initially dampened. Having travelled to numerous All Inclusives to destinations such as Morocco, Cape Verde and the Caribbean some things were just missing. After our luggage was taken off the coach we had to manage by ourselves to get our 3 large suitcase, 3 hand luggage and a toddler with push chair into the lobby. There’s no staff to help you with luggage like we’ve experienced at every other destination. This is also the first time we’ve not had a welcome drink upon arrival. We were 1 of 3 families off our coach checking in and this therefore was very quick and painless. Having been told we were in block 5000 which is right behind the lobby I decided we’d make our own way there instead of taking a cart which would have been all for a 20 second journey. 4. Rooms As mentioned, we were in block 5000 on the top floor which we’d requested prior to arrival on the TUI website which was great. More specifically room 5230 which is right at the end overlooking the chapel. The room itself was fine with no issues and there was 2 bottles of water (small bottles) in the fridge. Air con also worked great for the couple of times we needed to use it. The bathroom again was OK but the shower itself is probably the worst we’ve had anywhere. The power of the shower is extremely weak and therefore if you have a lot of hair (ladies) you’ll have a fun time washing it. Our shower also kept changing from freezing cold to scolding hot every 30 seconds. I only found this out after our 3 year old daughter took her first shower and was

Just got back from vacation from Blue Lagoon Resort and it was one of the best vacations ever! Good things first: Hotel area is nice, lots of space, flowers, palm trees etc. The pool is even better than in photos, it is huge! One of the best pools I have seen. There is enough sun beds around it. so we always got one ar any time of the day. I was travelling with my two teenagers, so I booked Junior suite for us. It was more like a normal spacious room, not a suite, nut we were happy about it! Good beds, great air conditioning, nice balcony to the pool area. House keeping was super, rooms were spotless every day! Food in buffet was suprisingly good compared to many all inclusive hotels we have visited before. Lots of fresh vegetables, fruits etc. Out favourites were great pizza at Mesogios buffet and crepes by the pool. - We also felt sorry for the same guy who worked there hard every day from 10-18! Sometimes alone. There should have been 2-3 people all times, because the queue was long. Service in the Bar next to the lobby was great! They always remembered your drink and offered to bring one more. Just loved their attitude! For majority of the people working there - they were just doing their job. No hello, no smile, no nothing, just basic duty. They were always polite and doing their job well, but nothing extra. The animation team was lot of fun, good stretching&yoga, good aquabick! They also performed at the shows every night. Some of the shows were better than others but ovelalla they were entertaining. Remember to take ear plugs with you - shows are really really loud! The nearby beach is nice, rent a sun Bed for 2,50€ and chill. Water, soda, beer included for all inclusive fee, other drinks cost extra. Spa was ok, steam room was good but pool area outdated and water in pools cold. Outside pool was nice. Water slides were for younger children but the snack Bar was nice and Food there good. What could been better? Theme Restaurants were huge disappointments, interior was not cosy at all, food was below average and there was no small bottles of wine or wine by glass in any of them. No point to pay ~30€ for a Bottle for one glass when enerywhere else the drinks are free. We tried many drinks, they all tasted more or less the same. Wine was always warm and it was very average, but that it of course common in all inclusives. Between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner there was almost no place open to get snacks, fruits etc. Many times we needed something after lunch and before dinner, so only choice was the endless queue to the crepes Bar. Something similar that the waterpark snacks should be available in main Hotel area too! Overall, very good and relaxing vacation with lot to do! Enjoy your time in Blue Lagoon Resport! ☀️☀️

In our opinion not a 5* The hotel was very clean, fresh towels every day. Grounds kept in great condition. Hair dryer and kettle in our room, which was smallish but adequate. We always found something to eat, but the food was not the best. We were not impressed with the themed restaurants, not particularly authentic. The main restaurant was like a school canteen, with loads of noise and hustle. We used the ‘adults only’ pool, which was good, we swam every day, water was refreshing. Also, loved to see and hear the hens, cockerels and cats, good to be so close to a rural setting. Found the staff brilliant and always helpful. Our room was 6016.

The accommodation is definitely 3*. We arrived early hours of the morning and had to wait for the transport to take us to the room. No milk in the room for a drink and only 2 bottles of water, first night only. the pool area is really nice. The Aqua park was lovely but the pool was cold for the children and it was windy the week we came. Food, not that great I'm afraid and the same every night. You can however book one of 3 restaurants onsite for a change. Entertainment, well the same people every night. They do try to vary a bit and they do try. I'll let you decide).

The hotel itself is just lovely. The rooms were adequate for what we needed, although not much storage. They were cleaned daily if required. We ate at the buffet restaurants as well as the Chinese, Greek, and Italian restaurants on site. The Italian was our favourite but all were nice. Our daughter has celiac disease, which can be hard when travelling abroad. The hotel was great. We notified them of this on arrival, and my daughter filled out a form. In every restaurant, the chef came to speak to her and showed her around the buffets to let you know what she could eat as well as making her separate food when requested. Sometimes this became repetitive but the hotel couldn't have been more accommodating. Are the buffets also repetitive, yes, but there is always something for everyone to eat and all the staff work so hard to make your stay enjoyable. All the bars are good and drinks are aplenty. The piano bar can give more of a chilled out theme, but our best bar by far was the ilios bar. Kostantina (Tina) helped make our stay so enjoyable. She remembers everyone! Who they are, what they are drinking and you are never without service. We didn't even have to ask for drinks, they were just readily supplied. Tina also taught us some Greek phrases and was always so happy and pleasant. You were really made to feel welcome and we couldn't wait to learn the next Greek phrase! She is really a delight and makes the place feel so warm you just want to go back there. Tina really is the heart of the bar 🍸 💓 We travelled in May. It was warm (around 24°c) but can be windy in the evenings so had to wear a thin cardigan! The pools were cold but once in, were OK although not exactly warm. There was also fitness and entertainment around the pool and entertainment in the evenings at the entertainment dome. Depending on what you're looking for this can be hit or miss but we enjoyed our time in the ilios bar so this wasn't an issue for us. The bar at the main poolside also made amazing crepes! After reading some reviews I was a little sceptical coming here but we, as a family of 6, have truly had an amazing time and are talking about coming back next year! Thanks to all who helped make our stay perfect but again I must mention Tina from the ilios bar who welcomed us every day with a smile and some really homefelt chitchat. X

Stayed at Blue Lagoon Resort for eleven days, during our stay we like many others used the Ilios Bar, we were hosted by Konstantinos and Tzeni. They were beautiful people to meet these two girls are at the top of their game, helpful and extremely knowledgeable and professional in their work. They made us feel very welcome. They always had a smile nothing was too much trouble. They are truly an asset to the the Blue Lagooon. 10/10 for service

I came here for my best friend’s wedding and I have to say the staff were excellent throughout as far as the wedding itself was concerned. I did have a few issues overall unfortunately starting with resort transfer where I was waiting for an hour to be picked up and it ended up being a driver I had asked at the very beginning who said he wasn’t for me. The resort did apologise but it wasn’t a great start to proceedings. The rooms and facilities at the hotel was great and the poolside was very impressive with plenty of drinks on offer and entertainment throughout the day. Their wedding services were brilliant and we had no complaints whatsoever and I would highly recommend them as the location, catering and overall attentiveness was incredible. All in all a fair experience in my opinion.

The hotel was spotless. Staff in restaurants were amazingly helpful and friendly and didn't like to see your glass empty! Is only a short distance from Kos Town and can easily be reached walking. There was a small supermarket five minutes from the resort and prices were a lot more reasonable than the shop onsite. Really struggled with the food choices for both adults and children and felt like same things were offered every night with very little change which I felt let the hotel down and would deter me from recommending to others. It got very frustrating. Very little in the way of entertainment which was also really disheartening, Adult shows start at 21:30 which I felt was a bit late. Went along to one at my daughters request and left halfway through, very poor. Really struggled to fill my day and felt the place lacked atmosphere with no entertainment or music. I don't think I will hurry back.
