Utopia Blu Hotel

Beautiful hotel with fantastic pools and gardens. Unfortunately the food and all inclusive service does not match the accommodation. The fact that you have to pay for bottled water on an all inclusive is shocking in my opinion. The food was a big stumbling block for me as well. Lunch in particular was a very limited and bland menu which remained the same every day. I believe this could be a fantastic hotel as the accommodation and pool areas are beautiful.

All good ..kept it simple and didn't over do the choice.. sometimes you can have too many food choices. We both never had any problems with any meals.. breakfast, lunch and dinner Service.. Slightly pricey for what you pay for see below Cons... Unfortunately you pay extra for an adult area that basically anyone from other areas of the hotel can just walk into and put towels down and spend all day there for no extra cost. By the pool... maybe a band on your arm would signify where you booked your as a suggestion ..it didn't affect us but did people on the upper floors.. This was the only real issue Otherwise great... Would we come back .. Yes ..in a couple of years as we like to move around

5* all day long This hotel is perfect in every way. Fantastic food, large rooms. Feels like a 5*. Great for couples or families. Staff are ultra friendly. We will definitely return. The pools are spotless and no shortage of sun beds. Grab a crepe or 2 at lunch time from the crepe station. Sit back and enjoy the surrounding

We travelled as a group of 7 friends/couples, the hotel is stunning and rooms very clean & modern. We'd like to thank Michaela who worked in the restaurants as she is an absolute asset to the hotel! Always checking we were okay with the biggest smile on her face, nothing was too much trouble, cannot stress how grateful I am to her as she really stood out from the rest.

We spent a wonderful week at the Utopia Blu Hotel on the Greek island of Kos and we can safely say that it was one of the best holidays! The hotel is modern, well-kept and located in beautiful, green surroundings – the vast area with gardens, palm trees and places for walks is really impressive. The rooms were very clean, cleaned every day, with beautiful views out the window. There are many swimming pools and a huge number of sunbeds on the premises – there was no problem finding a place to relax. There are bars throughout the hotel serving delicious drinks with really good alcohols. As for the food – an absolute revelation! Fresh, varied and tasty meals every day. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners met the expectations of the most demanding – a huge selection of dishes, including pizza, gyros, pasta, soups, vegetables, ice cream and snacks. There were also themed dinners every day, e.g. Greek, Asian, Mexican or seafood. Between meals, pancakes, toast and cold soft drinks were available. Another advantage of the hotel is its various facilities: there is a souvenir shop, a nice café, a tennis court, a ping-pong table, a children's area and a separate area just for adults - ideal for relaxing in a quiet atmosphere. The hotel staff deserve a special mention - very nice, professional and always willing to help. The hotel beach is about 20 minutes' walk from the hotel, but you can also use the free hotel bus, which takes guests there in 2 minutes. The beach itself is clean, with access to toilets and bottled cold water. There is a well-stocked supermarket opposite the hotel, and a bus stop right next door - for 2.30 euros you can conveniently get to Kos town. A taxi from the hotel costs 15 euros. We definitely recommend Utopia Blu Hotel to anyone dreaming of a comfortable, relaxing holiday with delicious food, beautiful surroundings and excellent service. We will be happy to come back!

We're just coming to the end of a 2 week stay at Utopia Blu, so thought I'd add my thoughts, which pretty much reflect most of the other reviews I've seen. If you can't be bothered reading all of this, it's a solid 4 out of 5 from us. If you are reading the rest, here goes.... Firstly, the complex is stunning. It's so pretty, really well maintained, spotlessly clean, and very established, despite only being 3 years old. There are about 700 different pools, there's never any real issue in finding a sunbed, and because of the way the hotel is designed, you're literally never more than a 1 minute walk from a bar. Which is very important if you want to rehydrate with pina coladas throughout day. The main pool is quite hectic, with lots of activities and quite a loud (and repetitive) playlist (if I hear Guantanamera again I will rip my own head off), but all the other pools are much more relaxing. We don't really get involved with the entertainment so can't comment on the overall quality, but a couple of the singers were belting out Tom Jones hits very impressively one evening. We had a suite with pool, number 1006, and I emailed the hotel beforehand to request a sunny room, because I was a bit fearful of paying a huge amount of money for a room that was in the shade all day. The hotel duly obliged, and we've got a room that's in the sun until around 2pm, at which point we decamp to one of the swim-up pool areas. Some of the private pool rooms are definitely in the shade for most of the day though, so consider yourself warned, and definitely request a sunny room in advance. I think that 1010-1013 pool rooms are probably in the best postion sun-wise. A lot of the swim-up rooms definitely have more sun throughout the day, and from what I can see, they all have nice wooden sunbeds (and not the beanbags that we've got). Our room is long and wide, and probably one of the biggest we've ever had. The suites with pools do seem to vary in size though. Our terrace is only small, and not big enough to accommodate sunbeds, so we have 2 big beanbags, which is fine as they're very comfortable, although there are 3 of us, so we have to keep swapping or lie on the floor. Not ideal, but hey ho. Our pool is also a decent size, cleaned daily, a lovely temperature, and around 4m x 3m in size. It's also very private, with screens and shrubbery surrounding it on all sides. It makes such a difference and is one of the highlights of our holiday. Food has been pretty good and is nicely varied. It's your standard all inclusive fare. All of the desserts do seem to taste of banana though, regardless of what flavour they're supposed to be. There's a nice shady area to the rear of the main restaurant, flanked with established olive trees and pretty string lights, which is a nice place for your evening meal if you prefer eating outside.
