Firstly, it's not Sani or Ikos, but anyone (i.m.o) giving less than 4 stars is being massively harsh. Secondly, it's called a village for a reason - The place is huge! Positives - Massive pools so never feels too busy, beach location (lots of fish to see), very clean, a la carte restaurants, lovely staff, sports area, adventure land, buggies, entertainment. Negatives - No fridge in room, all inclusive drinks are pretty average, booking a la carte restaurants (get busy!), €50 deposit to play mini golf. For me, it's not 5 star luxury, however, it's a very very pleasnt 4 star family resort and would definitley return. Please don't let the poor reviews put you off, those people clearly have a gripe!

Hotel is beautiful and very clean!! Staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food was average and some nights struggled with what to eat. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, no local shops in walking distance. Hotel shop is expensive, with no price labels on items. BBQ was disappointing, you have to cook your meat yourself, which takes ages! Chinese restaurant was standard, the Italian was the best one out of the three.

What a wonderful holiday! The team of friendly staff at the BLV really made it a holiday to remember. The location is beautiful and we loved how spacious the village felt and enjoyed exploring it each day. The beach is lovely and there were so many pools. It was perfect for us. The village is really clean and safe and all the staff take real pride in keeping it that way. We had a family room with seaview and it was beautiful. Both bedrooms had a balcony and doors off a large hallway with wardrobes and a huge bathroom. Perfect for ensuring we all had a good nights sleep. The beds were really comfy too. The fitness and entertainment team with Melana and her colleagues were brilliant and I loved morning yoga and fitness workouts in the beach pavilion with the stunning ocean as the backdrop. All the team went out of their way to ensure we all had the best time. The evening kids disco was a bit repetitive and we never saw any of the shows as they start so late but we still enjoyed a few nights with a cocktail as we watched the kids run around the stage. Myself and my little boy are vegan and after contacting the hotel in advance they assured me everything would be clearly labelled and it was. I did have to make a few trips to guest relations but they soon got everything sorted. If you are vegan too just ensure you ask guest relations to inform every restaurant and they will make a dessert for you. We enjoyed vegan baklava in Mythos and Aegean made with oil instead of butter. We also had a coconut pannacotta in the Italian and Chinese restaurants. Soya milk and vegan cheese was available on request at breakfast too. We found Mythos best at lunchtimes for vegan salads and there is a couple of vegan specials each evening in the Aegean. They made us vegan pizza and Napoli pasta in the Italian and spring rolls and rice noodles with vegetable ls in the Chinese. It was the lladies in the pancake house who really made our trip special and after booking our daily pancake at guest relations we enjoyed a delicious one every day made with coconut milk and a smile. Thank you BLV for making our holiday so special. If we come back to Kos we will definitely return.

We travelled to the Blue Lagoon Village in May 2024 as a family of four - two adults, one 3-year-old and one 10 month old. The hotel itself is a village – it is sprawling, but they do a good job of making sure everything is accessible for everyone. We only used the golf buggy service a few times, the rest of the time we walked everywhere which was fine, even with two young kids. There are loads of different facilities and they do a brilliant job of keeping everything clean and tidy, it was quite windy while we were there, but they still managed to keep rubbish which was being blown around to a minimum! There were two points which really made this holiday special for us. Firstly, their approach to allergies. Our son is allergic to both gluten and dairy, they really make him quite ill. We spoke to guest relations on our first day and they made sure every restaurant we visited (and the gelataria) had a meal ready for him at a specific time. This was excellent and he was able to enjoy a holiday with no adverse reactions to food, this made a massive difference to us. A special mention goes to Ali and Irdil from the Ocean/Italian restaurants. They remembered him every time we saw them and made sure his ‘special’ food was prepared without question. Irdil also brought us a bottle of sparkling wine for our anniversary at lunch one day. Secondly, the entertainment team, they do the shows and lots of activities during the day. Before we had children we never really got involved in this side of hotels. However, this team, made my son’s holiday so special. He had his face painted every night, played mini golf with them multiple times and went to the mini disco they run every night (which our 10-month-old also loved). A special mention has to go to Mina, Malena and Lorenzo. Despite working so hard with everything they have going on; they always went out of their way to have a chat and give a hug to a 3-year-old which made all the difference to him. A couple of points for improvement: Just stock the fridges in the rooms with waters and a couple of beers each day. The best all inclusive resorts on the Greek islands do this. It keeps everyone happy and hydrated. The Bbq restaurant is an interesting idea where you cook your own food, yet it neither feels a bit in between as you still must wait for waiters etc. (the service was the worst at this restaurant, and the slow cooking made it awkward with the kids). Why don’t you let people pour their own drinks (alcoholic & non-alcoholic) to remove the service issue and maybe let people choose their food which is then cooked in front of them? It might feel a bit more like a unique experience. Overall, a brilliant hotel which we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thank you for our stay.

Visited for 10 nights, it is a huge hotel, beautiful grounds but just doesn’t provide a 5-star experience. The food is just crap to put it bluntly. Our 4 year old wouldn’t even eat the chips as they were very yellow, the bread was hard and the breakfast was terrible, breakfast ends at 11am but at 10am they would start closing the buffet and not setting any tables, so we ended up having a waffle and crepe at the Gelateria instead which was a really nice place the only nice food at the whole hotel. The entertainment is very repetitive and is mostly the same dancing and mediocre singing. It would be good if they would have a range of acts throughout the week. The mini-disco was ok but not great. After the evening show at 9:15pm which is on for about 30 minutes they would encourage everyone to get on the stage and dance and after 10 minutes of that the whole entertainment arena closed and they would turn the lights and music off while there are still children dancing on the stage, no warning at all which is really dangerous. The rooms were ok but are run down and the bed sheets are like paper when you move. We never got any milk or tea bags or soap restocked which should be expected as it is a “5 star” hotel. The pools were absolutely freezing too. We never go to the same place again but definitely would not return here.

Never a 5 star. 2/3 tops. I’m here now day 1. Booked through TUI, arrived here 1pm to be told room not ready until 3pm. I have two kids under 2years. So we’ve gone down to the buffet to kill time to be greated by the worst prison food I’ve seen. I’d give this a 0 star if I could. Still waiting for my room 2:30pm, kids crying after their 6 am flight for 4 hours. STAY AWAY!!!!?

Genuine outstanding. We read all of the reviews and they don’t even do it credit. A large hotel with beautiful views. The hotel is spotlessly clean, everywhere you go. The facilities at this hotel are amazing also but it is the staff that make it. Every member of staff from the bar to the entertainment to the housekeeping are wonderfully pleasant. We travelled as a family of 4 with two young boys and this was genuinely the perfect hotel.

Great holiday, right next to the airport too. Very secluded area which was nice. Only down side if I had to pick one would be the food and staff but that still comes in at a 4.5/5. We had a night at the Chinese restaurant and was told we could not have a second serving of the ribs, (amazing, that’s why we asked for seconds) I ended up giving £20 to one of the kitchen staff and he brought a portion right out to us. Shame really as it’s supposed to be all inclusive. Would go again!

We travelled to BLV in October 2023, it was myself, my fiancee and our 10 month old daughter. We had requested a cot and bottle steriliser which were both waiting in the room for us, which was fantastic. We had booked a swim up room, and were in block 2000. Room was fantastic and having the swim up room was brilliant with a 10 month old. A nice touch by the hotel is the way you can get fresh beach towels every day. The hotel is great, rooms are lovely, beds comfortable and the room was cleaned every day. Service by everyone in the hotel is fantastic and the all inclusive drinks I thought were good. The only negative was the food, the food was not very appetising at all. Most days struggled with what to eat, even the omelettes at breakfast were full of oil and so greasy. It's a shame there is nothing in walking distance to go to have other meals, but you are stuck unless you want to pay for a taxi. Overall the hotel, is fantastic the food in my opinion just lets it down.
