I’m writing this review having stayed here last summer as a couple in our 20’s/30’s in September 2024. I have not stopped thinking about our great time at this hotel. We were a little apprehensive reading reviews prior to our visit, but we were blown away by the standard of this hotel. If you are a couple and are nervous about it being too busy with children, the ‘left side’ of the hotel when facing it from the sea is the best place to eat and sit in the day, but the whole hotel has a great atmosphere. Firstly, food - we dined 9/10 times at the Italian buffet for breakfast and dinner, it is quieter, less children, great staff and food and salad selection (if you love Italian as we do!). Plus a gorgeous view over the pool and the sea. The other restaurant on the other side was good the 2-3 times we ate there, but a little busier. Snacks are abundant during the day, the best being the gyros truck on the ‘quiet side’. We chose the Chinese for our a la cartè which was phenomenal. HIGHLY recommend Porto Eye in Kardemena for dinner with great steaks and pasta at a really reasonable price. Plus you can watch the sunset over the harbour if you sit on the rooftop part! Drinks - the drinks were good, the beers were nice and fresh, the cocktails were nice but pre-mixed and very sugary. You can’t complain but they could be better for a 5* Staff - most of the staff were lovely and friendly, there were a few that looked at you blankly when serving you or didn’t always acknowledge you. Entertainment - this hotel is clearly aimed at families and there is nothing short of non-stop activities for families which is great to see, and the reps couldn’t do enough for the children, these mainly take place over the other side of the hotel with the infinity pool & main buffet restaurant (right side). The evening entertainment was again very family focused which was fun to watch a couple times in the amphitheater, there were quizzes in the bar on the right side of the hotel and near daily musicians on in the lovely bar above the Italian. I would say if you are a couple you may want to wander into Kardemena for some drinks, there are plenty of sports bars etc Location - the location of this hotel was perfect to us, 2 mins to the sea, the beach was never packed. 20 minutes from the airport which was great. 10/15 minute walk along to Kardemena which was lovely in the day and the evening - we walked across most days. There are plenty of shops of clothes, jewellery, souvenirs etc Things to do: we did a boat trip day (3 bay with lunch and a drink included) one day, and hired a quad bike for a day, on another day, to explore the whole island. It’s easy to get to Kos town and park up, I’d recommend driving up through the mountains! All of these can be arranged through an excursion shop in Kardemena and were great fun and worth the money. A few evenings we walked into Kardemena for dinner/cocktails. Some bars are even open until the early hours. Pools - there are plenty of pools,

: Hotel rated at 5 star but it is no way close, 3 star max!!! Rude staff at breakfast virtually pushing you out the door at 10am (open8:30-10:30) cold food, so called Italian restaurant is a joke pizza and bolognese which tastes nothing like bolognese! So called al a carte restaurants you can only used once a week and in choices in them is minimal!. The spa is run by a smoking Godzilla who is on her phone most of the time and the hot tub needs to be booked, no under 18’s but kid with armbands in it unnoticed!? Also be be warned you will need a Tetanus shot after it as the tub is that filthy! On the plus side the rooms are ok apart from for the last two weeks I thought I was a buffet for mosquitoes which is strange as I have never suffered before to discover we have bed bugs as my wife as also been bitten multiple times. I really feel that for £4.6k I have really had value for money (not). Once you are hit with the £240 tourist tax for 2 rooms I could have gone to the Caribbean for 2 weeks ( I feel like I have been mugged) Regards Roy Ps be warned don’t upset Godzilla she is big.

We didn’t initially boon this hotel but were moved last minute after the hotel we booked closed. Having read some of the reviews beforehand I was a little nervous. Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, no complaints at all. Lot of comments about the hills, we got lucky and were right next to the facilities but I could see if you were at the top of the hill it could be an issue. Staff very friendly all around. We didn’t see much of the entertainment but seemed like the usual kind of thing you’d expect. Poolside entertainment was great for kids. Food was a little repetitive and a bit cold for my liking, but if you choose well some tasty dishes can be found. The pizza for example is fantastic. It’s a shame there is no way to book more than one of the speciality restaurants (we were happy to pay) these were largely very empty so not really sure why they aren’t making more of them, would eliminate the issue of food being repetitive! Pools are fantastic and never an issue finding sun loungers, great being able to see out to sea from poolside. Location wise, easy walk into town. Beach is literally on the doorstep. Some great water sports available if that’s your thing. Overall, yes some things could be better, but we had a great week and ultimately that’s what matters.

I have never seen a hotel/ any sort of service decline so steeply in the space of 12 months. After an amazing family holiday of four, in June 2024 we enjoyed it so much we booked again for May 2025. So much so we brought additional family members. The hotel is unrecognisable (not in a good way). The bar cues/ food / staff, have all reduced to levels no family would appreciate on a family holiday. The food is the worse part of this hotel and it became a challenge to find an edible meal. This was by far the most disappointing holiday we have ever been on and I would highly discourage any family to book in the near future.

My sister Rachel recently posted a review of this hotel with our experience this week as a family of 10. I would just like to add that the confusion with not being able to sit together in the A La Carte restaurant has been dealt with brilliantly by staff since the review. Especially Ireane (guest relations manager) who got to the bottom of what happened and even changed her working hours to make sure we could spend our last night in the HV Diner A La Carte restaurant. Vasilas looked after us for the evening and could not apologise more for the previous night. He treated us like royalty for the evening and the food was so much better than the main restaurant!

The hotel is stunning nestled into the hillside overlooking the most amazing view you can imagine. I would say the majority of staff were hard working and conscientious especially “lady” (her name ) that worked the main bar pretty much single handed most of the time unfortunately even for a superstar bar attendant she could not meet the demand and the queues were very long I would say 80 % of the time which spoiled things for us. The food was really good in the buffet restaurant again issues with queues sometimes 20 minutes waiting for a table. The pools were very clean and the lifeguards were in control and it felt very safe to me. The football academy was excellent - hats off to Ryan and Chloe who were very professional and they even jumped in with the afternoon pool parties and water polo which was great. the rooms were nice and spacious and very modern UNFORTUNATELY the housekeeping was very poor I’m sorry to say - not the hotels fault but one of the pullout beds for the kids smelled of urine and this wasn’t picked up prior to us moving in, the bathroom floor can’t have been mopped during our stay because this too smelled of urine around the toilet and the very stylish floor to ceiling glass was full of finger marks and smudges. I think they came in daily but they seemed to straighten the bedding but didn’t touch the pillows which was strange.

We had an amazing time – the kids absolutely loved it! The infinity pool was a real highlight, offering stunning views and a perfect place to relax with some great tunes! The food was lovely (fresh pizza’s the highlight) with plenty of variety to suit everyone’s tastes. Staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The room was modern, clean and exactly we needed as a family of 4. The pool was a bit on the cold side but you soon got used to it, the only shame was it was too cold for our 6 month old, nothing a small Paddling pool couldn’t fix. I would recommend that the hotel open up the indoor pool for a couple hours a day for families with small children to use. The entertainment was wonderful – fun, lively, and great for all ages. A truly memorable experience that we’d happily repeat! It’s a shame to see so many negative reviews, most of which feel very picky and does not reflect such a wonderful hotel!

We had a wonderful week at this hotel! I had read some terrible reviews the night before we flew and was extremely worried on our way out. Our flight didn't land till 10.30pm so we were shattered but when we got to the hotel a TUI rep (Scarlet) was waiting to greet us. She was so friendly and told us to leave our luggage at the bottom of the stairs while we checked in. Check in was a tad slow but nothing to make me annoyed. Staff were friendly and we were offered some food and drink which was very welcomed even late at night. A buggy took us to our hotel room which was great! The hotel is built on a hill and there are many steps but I knew this in advance so not a problem! Our room was clean and pleasant on arrival. Our two children had the two sofa beds and we had a very comfy larger than average double bed. We had an issue with our air con but I called reception who came to fix it while we were out. As expected with all inclusive, it is a buffet but food is mainly kept fresh. There are hand sanitiser points on the way up to the restaurant which we made use of. Breakfast tended to be the same but there was plenty to choose from! Tea options changed each evening and I was big fan of Chinese night! There was Indian night as well. Some of the meats did feel fatty and after reading reviews I ensured my meats were fully cooked. On some occasions I decided not to eat the meat I had chosen but it wasn't enough to make me mad. Food was still delicious! You could use the buffet for lunch but we mainly used the snack bars with delicious pizzas, pasta, toasties, ice cream etc. You get two visits to the a la carter restaurants during your stay. One is the Italian and you can choose another. The Italian was another buffet but it was a nice change. We chose the Greek restaurant as well which was delicious and excellent waiter service! We found the staff friendly and approachable. They enjoyed a laugh as well which was nice to see as I feel like some of them were there every day or our holiday! There is a drinks menu at the bar which details what's included and what is premium. There was plenty included, we didn't need to pay any extra. There were kids cocktails which were a hit with our children and I found a love for the HV special cocktail. There are many pools to choose from! The toddler pool was great with toys being brought out at some points which were a huge hit with our youngest. The water was cold but absolutely manageable once you were in. The infinity pool had music playing which could feel loud but it was easy to move to another pool if you wanted peace. There were games and entertainment periodically which the reps put their all into. Be careful in the infinity pool as the steps were hard to see! My husband caught his foot a few times and I saw one lady go under when she first entered as she wasn't aware. Steps in other pools are clearly marked so it would be great if these could be marked out too! The splash park looked brilliant! Unfortunat
