Captain's Hotel

This hotel is real value for your money and every member of the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. We had our flight cancelled but managed to get out the following day and although we arrived very late someone was there to welcome us. Hotel very clean and lovely breakfast too. Very we located short walk to harbour and even shorter to the beach.

We stayed here 4th to 11th July 2023, and what a really good hotel I was very surprised as this is a 2 star hotel but I think it should be higher. All the staff are out of this world we stayed in room 15 and it was to single beds but we wanted a double somthere came and put something in between the bed so it was a like a king size and they have a pool which you can use. Just one world of advice for the pool they share it with the hotel next door which run it and you not allowed to take your own drinks there. But is good pool very clean. The breakfast is good too. I would highly recommend this hotel and only 10 min walk to the beech and also 10mins walk to harbour for those trip you do.

Great stay here ,Yes it's a budget Hotel £36 a night for 2 with breakfast Breakfast choice if 2 cereals Ham / boiled eggs / cheese slices /Tomatoes/orange squash/ coffee instant/ bread / Jam and marmalade. overall what more do you want for that money? The room :- ours had a double bed and a single bed adequately cleaned ,bed ok for a few nights and a tad lower the we like but hey it served a purpose. A bathroom that looked quite modern and was functional. The pool:- A nice size and clean sunbeds fine and bar snacks available The staff :- Excellent all of them felt like a home from home nothywas too much trouble. The area :- Not picture perfect but wuieyand near to the bars and main street. Overall we would definitely stay here again.

We keep going returning! It was 17 yrs ago when we discovered this hotel and we have since been back about 5 times. It’s a great family run hotel with friendly and efficient staff. Location is good for the beach or the town all within a few minutes walk. It suits us perfectly, we feel so comfortable and relaxed here! Will def be returning! 👍

Very easy accommodation. The staff was very nice and were very helpful. I was there for 2 nights just to be at the beach all day long whoch is 5min by foot from the hotel. There was even A/C which I highly appreciated. Thank you! Breakfast could offer 2-3 more products but for two relaxed and easy days I would definitely go back.

Captain’s is an excellent budget hotel! The pool is beautiful and you are just around the corner from the Main Street. All staff are very friendly and helpful - our flight out was in the evening, and although our checkout was at 11am we were allowed to stay at the pool during the day, using hotel towels etc. The staff give great recommendations of places to go. The hotel was really clean - I’ve never been to a budget hotel so clean, and it was just as clean as a pricey one. Breakfast is simple but filling (cereal, yoghurt, fruit, bread rolls with jam etc) and fresh. Water pressure in the shower isn’t amazing, but that really doesn’t matter when you consider the price, fantastic service and location!

Very cute hotel which is located directly in the city of Kos Town. Everything is within walking distance and easy to reach. Perfect location! The staff is friendly and always there if you needed something. The rooms are okay, as the room isn’t very big, but for us more than enough, since we only slept there and didn’t really do or needed anything else in the hotel. Beds were comfortable, only sad that we had a twin and no double. Bathroom definitely needs an update and shower was too small but overall, the location made up for everything.

I booked an initial 4 nights at Captain’s Hotel with the intention of extending it to a week if I liked it there. Sadly, that didn’t happen and I moved hotels which probably says most of what you need to hear. Starting with the good, though: the staff are friendly (seems to be run by an elderly couple); the pool is nice, though it doesn’t get the sun until midday (in August anyway); and…well no that’s about it really. The rooms are an okay-ish size, but the two single beds (no double) are uncomfortable. The WiFi is slow and unreliable. The air-conditioning is weak and the bathroom looked like it was last decorated in the 1970s! (horrific green tiles). The shower is tiny, though the water runs well enough and is warm after a while. Breakfast was equally disappointing. Poor select of cereals, lumpy Greek yoghurt, cheap ham and cheese slices, DIY instant coffee and sickly-sweet fake orange juice. Even with its budget price, it’s hard to recommend staying here when there’s so much choice in Kos Town. The location and pool are the main plus points: it’s close enough to the beach and harbour without being on the doorstep, there’s a laundrette just around the block and tavernas etc close at hand, but you could get all this from other places too, and that’s what I would do.
