Smaragdi Kos Hotel

We have just left this fabulous hotel after a 7 night BnB stay. From the moment we arrived to this morning when we left, the 4 of us felt like part of this family. We were welcomed by Stamatis at the bar. Both he and Theo were exceptional barmen and really looked after us all week. The breakfast was on from 8/11am and was plentiful in both continental and hot dishes. The 2 waiting ladies, Alexandria and (I'm so sorry not to remember the other lovely lady) were bright and cheerful every morning and happy to help us with anything. They also tolerated our poor attempts at the Greek language :) Pool area was clean, with plenty of umbrellas and it was so refreshing not to have to rush with putting towels down. Lots still available at 10am (see pics taken at 10am). Food at pool bar was good with a wide choice and reasonably priced between €10/€15 for popular dishes. There was a large supermarket approx 8 mins stroll away which made fresh rolls if going to beach. Apartments were really modern, towels were changed daily and linen twice in the week. Mattress and pillows were very new and comfy. Pool towels and safe both provided free of charge. The reception staff were extremely helpful and had great local knowledge. There is a handful of tavernas all within 10/15 mins stroll or a walk to Kos town took us 35 minutes. We all said we would recommend and come back. Can honestly say that the chilled vibe of this hotel and resort suited us perfectly and we felt we arrived as strangers but most definitely left as friends. Thank you to the whole team as there were lots who contributed to making our stay so great but unfortunately I gave forgotten all their names. Only negative, which the hotel have no handle on, is the public transport. Taxi service was shocking, so would recommend booking 24hrs in advance. Buses also don't always stop in Lambi so you have to ho into Kos town and back out again. This didn't spoil our holiday but be mindful if you are planning to go out of resort. We didn't get bikes but loads of people do, and there was a hiring place right next to hotel.

Stayed at this wonderful hotel for a week. The rooms have been remodelled and are kept clean everyday. It’s is so peaceful and relaxing which was just what we needed. The staff are attentive and help the relaxed vibe. It is a short walk into Lampi and a half hour walk into Kos town. Would return and thoroughly recommend.

We had an amazing stay at Smaragdi Kos Hotel! The hotel itself was fantastic, clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. What made it truly special, though, was the warm and friendly service. A special thank you to Olga for the lovely communication and for going above and beyond to help arrange a surprise gift for my girlfriend’s birthday during the vacation. It was such a kind gesture and made the experience unforgettable. All in all, a top-notch hotel with a personal touch. Highly recommended!

Clean and beautiful hotel. Staff are all lovely. Room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels. Every room has a balcony and the swimming pool was very nice. Good variety of breakfast choices. The hotel is on the smaller side which is nice as it is never over crowded and always a space by the pool. The only thing I didn’t like was there is quite a loud club next to the hotel which you can hear from your rooms ( isn’t on every night tho ) and it is a good 25 minute walk into Kos town. But we found electric scooters near to ride in which was much better and quick.

I had such a great week here, I really didn’t want to come home! The hotel is beautiful and is lovely and quiet, a true gem. I was treated amazingly well by all the staff here, I couldn’t have asked for more. In particular, I want to say a special thank you to Olga, Emilia, Anastasios, Stamatis and Antonis - you looked after me so well and I’m so grateful I can’t wait to come back!

We stayed for a week at smaragdi Kos. Beautifully renovations and beautiful gardens and surroundings within the grounds. The pool area was relaxing and clean. We never had to fight for a sunbed and there were sunbeds available all day. We booked for three adults. We were expecting a double and a single in one room but were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves staying in a double room suite - each room having its own terrace/balcony. We were on the bottom floor but this was perfect as it still felt like a balcony/ private space. The rooms were spacious and clean. Cleaners came daily and the air conditioning was perfect and easy to use. There were plenty of plugs and a hairdryer, towels, beach/pool towels, shower gel, coffee facilities and a safe. We are late 20s and quite enjoyed some background music in the evenings from the pool club next door but I can imagine this may be off putting for people wanting to relax. The hotel is around 9 minute walk to lambi beach and 5 minutes from a large supermarket where we were able to get supplies for lunch and store them in the fridge in the room. We were able to hire a car from outside the hotel for €60 for the day which was great to see the island. We were also able to hire a bike from the bike shop 100m down the road for 4€ per day which was great. It is a 30 m walk or 5m bike ride to Kos town. We were used to this after a few days. There are a few local bars on the main road also. This might put others off but perfect for people who like to get some steps in! Staff were helpful and kind. They wend above and beyond. breakfast was small but plentiful, for a small hotel of less than 100 guests there was enough choice each day. Don’t sleep on this place! Great price for a fantastic hub for exploring Kos!
