We went to the Continental Palace Hotel for 2 weeks in May. Having read some not too good reviews we were a bit worried. However, the reality of this lovely hotel was quite a different experience. From the reception in, with Stavroula and the other reception staff, the greeting and check in process was great. The hotel is set in lovely gardens with flowers everywhere. Pool area is very attractive with a very good snack bar. Pool towels were complimentary. Rooms in the hotel were spacious with great storage and very comfortable beds. They were cleaned every day with fresh towels. Bed linen every couple of days. Main dining restaurant is lovely and the food was very good, plentiful and hot. Local cuisine was excellent. Guests in the dining room with Irini and the rest of the staff were very well looked after. Bar is very big and has a lovely courtyard with ample comfortable seats. There is entertainment several nights a week. It is also a great place to sit and relax in the daytime to just chill and read. Small beach across the road and several bar restaurants with beach and sun bed facilities. ~We chose Theodorou because it is so comfortable. There is a very good supermarket outside the gate of the hotel. Bus stop across the road to Kos town. However, it is a very pleasant 20 minute walk into town This hotel under the direction of manager Mr. Yiannis, was great. We will definitely return.

Excellent choice either for holidays or business visit. In quiet area but within walking distance from the center. Warm welcome, smily staff, clean rooms. Very good entertainment evening, especially the rock band. And very safe for solo travellers

I stayed here a couple of years ago and have just remembered how awful the experience was so have to warn others to stay away! I booked two separate rooms for myself and my parents as we were part of a family birthday holiday only to get there in the middle of the night and be handed one key. Upon showing them the booking confirmation that we had booked two rooms they informed us there was nothing they could do until the morning as they don’t have a room available! We booked the hotel months and months in advance but I ended up having to share a room with my parents. The next day we were told they don’t have a room available for another 2 days, disposable! But they couldn’t refund us as it’s ’not their fault’, instead we were offered just THREE free lunches and no refund for three nights without a room that i paid for. Staff at the pool restaurant were SO RUDE! I’ve seen the hotel replying to comments saying they won’t accept comments about their bar/restaurant staff but maybe they should listen to the multiple reviews saying how rude and unaccommodating they are and do something about it… No air con around the hotel which makes it sweltering and the lifts were constantly breaking. We paid for all inclusive but the food was disgusting! Please go somewhere else, this place completely ruined our holiday and should be closed down

The hotel is really big and just about every room can see the sea. The good, really clean and the breakfast is ok, it’s the same every morning, eggs, some sort of sausage, smoked bacon etc. The grounds are clean, except round the pool are. We went out most evenings on the way back we walked through the pool area, there would be rubbish and uncollected bar glasses left about. The pool area is not big for the size of the hotel, there is a large garden area you can use. The bar is expensive… there is a little shop near the hotel entrance, get your beer there. You will struggle to find English tv in your room. The rooms were big enough for two and a full bath. This hotel is a good 40 minute walk away from Kos town, at a slow walk. If you’re not a walker and want to be close to town don’t stay here .

Lovely hotel and friendly staff throughout the hotel. Really nice people. Went with my teenage daughter for October half term. The weather was fab 26 degrees plus most days we were lucky. . The hotel was clean, fresh towels and sheets every day. The half board food was good. There was a range of breakfast cereals, Greek yoghurt, fruits, bread and a selection of processed meats, cheese etc I had a cooked breakfast every morning. Plus fruit. The evening meal catered for everyone. So there would be something there that someone would like. We went on a 3 island tour from Koz harbour and went to also watch the sunset at Zia. The hotel is well located across the street from a shingle beach which was lovely and very picturesque which also had a wheelchair ramp into the sea. There is also a marina opposite with lovely cafes and restaurants. Koz Harbour in the town is walkable approx 20 minute stroll. We walked there and back most nights for two weeks. When it wasn’t hot! It was lovely and breezy at night but not cold. Nearby restaurants to the hotel which were not all open as end of the season but there is a bicycle shop and supermarket next to the hotel. The hotel pool snack bar was excellent. For burgers, salads, gyros, chips, drinks etc and reasonably priced. We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Very chilled out hotel environment. I had read all bad reviews before going and to be honest I can only say that the hotel was clean, well maintained with very hard working and loyal staff that have been working there for years and n the busier months there is entertainment provided in the evening.

Very impressive hotel, fantastic staff. Very very clean and comfortable, very high standards. Staff lovely and friendly, went the extra mile to help when I thought I had lost my wallet. I would have given 5 stars, but the meals were a little disappointing, buffet service being what it is, the menu’s got to feel a bit “samey”. Hotel is in a lovely position next to the yacht marina, just a 15 minute stroll from the beautiful old historic town of Kos. Regular bus service to town, practically outside the hotel. All in all a lovely hotel, well worthy of the stars.

The hotel was a little dates but comfortanble. Staff outstanding and couldn't do enough. Food was basic but plenty of choice from salads and cooked fare evenings to choice of cereals, cooked or continental breakfast. Also had waiter service snack bar around the pool! 15 minute walk into In s town along the water front, bus service or taxi(7euros) if you prefer! Special mention to Anneka behind the bar. Always helpful and smiling no matter what the crap she sometimes had to put up with. On my list of hotels to go back to!

We were expecting this hotel to be very basic , but was happy to find it a clean and comfortable hotel with a large swimming pool lovely gardens , however not all the staff were warm and welcoming but the reception girls were especially Irene who went above and beyond to help in anyway she could . The poolside taverna /cafe served delicious food at reasonable prices , the staff in there were lovely too ! you cant expect too much from a 3 star hotel but I think it’s a very good one

Me and my partner just been there 11/09-20/09 and we absolutely loved it!rooms are nice and spacious…mattresses are a little hard but I had no problem with that. Our air conditioner didn’t work properly first night so reception changed our rooms no problem!if you are proper British (like my partner) and not very adventurous with food you might be limited on food on half board basis, but me personally being Eastern European I loved it!!!town is only 15min walk if you don’t get distracted by shops and marina and taking lots of pics lol STAFF!!!can’t praise them enough!!!we loved everyone we came into contact with (housekeeping ladies very nice and respectful of our belongings, reception staff great (and they like sweets 😉) , bar staff is a whole new level!!!looked after us, knew what we liked after second night, great advice on where to go for certain meals and drinks and things to see (Nichos (not sure if spelling is right) you are amazing!) guys at the restaurant and the pool bar are lovely!) we have been together just over 4 years and it was our first holiday together due to covid and stuff, but you guys made it very special and memorable to the extent that we are coming back to stay with you next year!thank you sooo much for looking after us!sincerely Inga ( the Russian) and Paul (the Viking)
