Maritsa Studios

We payed for 2 nights (maritsa) in standard room with balcony (3beded), and we didnt get the room nor the building we payed for. Our room was couple of buildings away (not in blue maritsa) and for first view it was worse than maritsa room we payed for but we wanted to get most of they and was in a hurry... I askwd where is aircondition? she said it is extra pay... i told her and later showed that is included and after a while she said its on the house. When we came back later we saw first cockroach, water was pouring mid from (siphon) and we told her that we would like the we payed from as we said on first comment. She said that maritsa is full so she cant give as any room and she will spray the cockroaches... and fix toilet water on floor... next day, new cockroaches, water on bathroom floor, spyder web... zero, we didnt have hot water nor we used anything... I sent pictures to trip.com

The beep every 2 seconds during the night was a Eurasian Scops Owl. I monitored it on BirdNET. The place is beautifully maintained by Maritsa and her husband Great location with a good selection of restaurants within walking distance. Jim's supermatket has everything you need from fresh fruit and vegetables, every kind of drink you need and at very reasonable prices. Air conditioning is €7 per night.

Nice block of simply furnished apartments located at the start of Kefalos, 250 yds from the bus stop, 300 yds from the supermarket and just a little further to the fabulous Agios Stefanos beach. We had an upstairs apartment which had distant sea views to the right, but the view to the left was not so good as building demolition work was under way. The ground floor apartments didn’t have any separated private space, just one large shared area. We were there for a week and our apartment was cleaned every other day, with linen and towels change just once, together with a new toilet roll, so make sure you take some tissues just in case you run out! The apartment had a safe which was charged at €15 for the week. Tourist tax was €14. We never needed the air-conditioning so not sure of the cost. The worst things associated with these apartments was a loud bleep every 2 seconds between the hours of 22.00 and 04.00, some sort of alarm, the reason of which we never found out. We used the pool and pool bar in the sister apartments next door where you can get a large beer for €4.5.

I can honestly say these studios are really nice. The good points. Comfy mattresses. Clean room.and change of bedding regularly. Bins emptied every couple of days. This is by far we have had in any other greek accommodation.nice view from balcony. I sat at back where there's a table and chairs for anyone to use. Good kitchen area. I even rustled up couple of pasta dishes. Air con 7 erou a day. God send.not so good points. Its 30 eouros to keep room on Which i found found steep as we wouldn't of been in room til last hour. And check out is 11 am. We did however get changed in laundry room there's a sink to av a little wash. And the use of toilet. All in al very nice.. Hard working family which do everything themselves. Be aware these are near main road in an out of kefalos so isn't as quiet as you would expect. Its quite a walk to main village. Just be careful on your way back in dark as roads and paths are not brilliant. As i no i fell down a pot hole no bones broken Came off with bruises an gravel grazes. Take a torch. Ones on phone dont do it good enough. Ps pillows weren't the best . For us just to. Far out we did no this but thought we. D give it a go.

5* ALL THE WAY, Effharisto Poly Maritsa!! What can I say about this Super Amazing Maritsa Studios and our Adorable Host, Maritsa? OK Well, First I read the reviews before deciding to choose the Maritsa Studios and can I just say that the person from Italy who posted images of a smashed up room, (I hope that Maritsa charged this person for what more than likely run into the €s for the damage to the room and furnishings, (Completely despicable and disgusting!!). Maritsa goes out of her way to help in any way she possibly can to help her very valued Guests and to repay her on the day that these people did by destroying her Apartment. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY That the Greeks would allow their Guests to enter a room that had been destroyed with such contempt!! That’s that out of the way so back to my short but sweet gratitude to Maritsa and her Husband, (What a delightful Couple. NOTHING was too much. The Apartment was spotless to the T. Fresh linen and towels every other day and the room was cleaned every single day. Maritsa and Husband heartfelt thanks for your gracious Hospitality in allowing me to stay for 2 AMAZING Weeks. Beach is only 300 metres (10/15 minutes walk) And there is a Supermarket 5 minutes away and a Restaurant. There isn’t a pool on the Complex but I had the use of the pool across the road (Babis was Super fun too! I won’t just be back next year, I will go back EVERY year. Maritsa and Hubby and her namesake Studios are now my little slice of Greek Host and Haven. Effharisto Maritsa Maits
