From the time we arrived at the White Rock of Kos we were made to feel incredibly welcome and comfortable. The reception staff, drivers, cleaners and those serving in the restaurant are fabulous - greeting you warmly each morning with “Kalimera”. The breakfast is fantastic, such a great choice - homemade cakes, hot and cold options and eggs cooked any way you like, scrambled, fried or as an omelette. Our room - 212 - was a Junior Suite with jetted tub. A gorgeous room with fantastic views. It was just a short walk up the hill to the main reception, restaurant and pools but you could be collected by buggy if you wished. These were always readily available. The hotel provide a shuttle service to Kefalos and other places - a trip to the town was 10E each way, and was very prompt - we didn’t ever have to wait. A special mention to George who looked after us at the pool. The sunbeds are the most comfortable I’ve ever used and George was there to put up the umbrella to give some shade and provide cold drinks. Lunch was well priced and huge portions (we shared one meal between two of us). Again, the view from the pool is breathtaking. Dimitris is the perfect barman and each evening we enjoyed cocktails and much laughter with him - he is such a great guy. We had a massage in the hotel, which was lovely, we didn’t use the gym or tennis courts but did see others using them. Kefalos has some lovely restaurants. Our favourites were Kompolognaki and Tanipota. My Place was a fantastic place to watch both the semi-final and final of the Euros and although the result didn’t go our way it was a fantastic atmosphere. We would recommend the White Rock of Kos if you want to enjoy a relaxing holiday.
