Best Hotels near Flower shop Aroma Kos, Kos

What was Kos a surprisely fun island for a week and what had we a great weather in the last week of October. We have had many Greek islands and all have their own character, but Kos is certainly at the top 3. Hotel Atlantis is a good hotel for the price we paid for it. Rooms were dated and could be renovated, but everything was all and worked, we had a family room with his two, not very needed with his two, but now we had each a private clothes room and a third room where we were sleeping. All in clusive was great, for everyone enough of what you want.

In October 2023 I booked the Christa Apartment’s for a 7-day break. In my party there were two adults.   ROOM We were assigned room 22 which was located on the first floor (there is a lift provided). The apartment had a small kitchen, bathroom with shower, two separate bedrooms each with two single beds in (these are pushed together if you don’t require single beds).  There is also a balcony that can be accessed from both bedrooms. The rooms are spotless & the cleaning team do a fantastic job. The room also has fantastic Air Conditioning system. If you require a safe only one of the bedrooms has one.   FOOD As far as I am aware the apartment doesn’t provide or offer food which is understandable with it being self-catering apartments. However the appartment is in a perfect location for some fantastic restaurants that are within walking distance (I have listed some of these restaurants below). HOTEL & LOCATION The hotel is kept really clean with lots of outside / under shelter seating. The location of the hotel is fantastic for people who want to be near the beach / Kos Town. You can be at the sea in 6 minutes from the hotel front door. There is a variety of restaurants near the hotel (I have mentioned the best restaurants we found the best below). If you hire a car there is quite a bit of free kerbside parking around the hotel. A massive positive for the hotel is the shower facilities they have on ground floor which you can use to freshen yourself up on the days you arrive or leave if you have not checked in or checked out. They also have lockers that you can pay 2 euros to hire to store your luggage which allows you too make the most of your arrival or departure days ( I have uploaded a video of these shower facilities which you can find on my YouTube channel, the link is in my TripAdvisor profile or by searching howeij on YouTube).    POOL The pool at the hotel is spotlessly clean & tidy. When I visited the apartments, I only used the pool once as we were out most days till late. The pool is open 10am – 7pm.  I did feel there was probably a need for some extra sun beds during the busier months as there wasn’t many (The pool can also be seen in some of video tours I did of my stay on my YouTube channel, the link for this is in my TripAdvisor profile or by searching howeij on YouTube).   STAFF The staff at the hotel were fantastic & helpful. A massive shout out to Aimilia & Emiliano who were always so welcoming, they are a credit to the apartments.   OVERALL Overall, we had a great stay at the Christa Apartment’s. If I was to return to Kos & this apartment was available Id happily book the apartments again. We stayed at one of the suites with my family. High quality linen and amenities, wonderful views of the pool and the beach, loved the spacious balcony overlooking the pool and the very comfy bed. We tasted delicious food at the property, the kids were more than happy with the pool and the food. The staff was very friendly and polite, ready to funfil all our requests. And of course the room and all the property were spotlessly clean, you could see members of the staff cleaning and tidying the pool and public space. We will come back for sure once in Kos!!!

We stayed here one night at the end of a holiday in Kalymnos; to help with ferry and flight timings. Arrival was at check in time and the lobby was fairly empty. Our room had been prepaid and was a deluxe sea view. Sadly Neptune fell flat - I guess we’d been spoiled at the Kantouni Beach but this was neither sea view nor deluxe (check out their rooms if you want both these things and more). To be fair, you can just see the sea if you don’t mind the 10 foot pampus and other trees in the way. It was otherwise ok. The air con was set at 20, not far off what we heat our homes to in the UK. We wandered back up to reception and asked if we could have the room temperature lowered. The response was fairly brusque with the male receptionist telling us that was it 20 and would only ever be 20 and he kept repeating this. I asked for a fan. Not a huge ask in a ‘luxury 5 star hotel’ but it seemed to annoy. We left, unsure of what we would get. After a little exploring and sampling our (very welcome) ‘welcome drink’ we returned to our room to a note with a sesame biscuit. There was no fan and I was about to ring reception when my husband discovered the air con had been chilled down to 16c. A good result but why tell us it was set at 20 and could go no lower if that were not the case? You can request a lower temperature at reception, but it is on an individual basis. Dinner was in the Asian influenced restaurant and whilst it was all undercover, it was open to the elements so very warm and stuffy but he food was good, tasty and well presented but nothing out of the ordinary. With check out set for noon, we had some time by the adults only pool which was really nice. Returning to our room to shower and leave for the airport I realised the hairdryer was not working. It was fine for 10 seconds then seemed to stop. I called reception and advised them we were checking out at noon. They promised to send the electrician. He never materialised and I continued to dry my hair with 10 seconds on, 1 minute off hairdryer antics. I got there but it was painful. A couple of points to note, the shower - a sort of wet room - would not drain of water and the drains had that really awful smell. You do get used to it but it’s rather grim. The floor of the whole room was sticky and with damp towels on the floor after our shower it was clear it wasn’t clean when they went very black and grubby. Housekeeping take note. Wash the floor, don’t just swish the dirty water from one end to another. Upon checkout (same member of staff who was intent on a 20c air con standard) we were told the electrician had called but our ‘do not disturb’ sign was on our door. Not so, but I really couldn’t be bothered as I was never going to convince the staff member. Why didn’t he knock? Because he didn’t come. We have just returned home after a lovely 8 night stay. Nothing to say other than what a fantastic hotel. The location is phenomenal and the staff were fantastic. I would like to just give my special thanks to Juliana, Bleona, Chris, Sergio, Spuros and everyone else part of the night bar team, they were fantastic hosts and were always giving us a laugh and making fantastic cocktails. Could not recommend them enough. We had brunch one morning at the brunch a la carte and it was absolutely amazing. There was such a great choice of food and drink. The service was incredible, Stamatia made us feel very welcome and was incredibly friendly. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the hotel! Thank you for making our holiday one to remember! We will be back to visit :)
