Focus Hotel

This hotel has existed for a long time and has not evolved. Impersonal welcome. Digicodes. Bike parking in a garage located quite far from the part of the hotel where we were. It is therefore preferable to unload your luggage before parking your bike. Old-fashioned rooms without air conditioning. A standing fan serves to circulate the asphyxiating air. There is a lot of dust. Shower without mixer with a plastic curtain. Suspicious cleanliness. No ambient decoration. Small sachets for shower products from an unknown brand. Wifi very bad. Breakfast in another building. Decent coffee and tea. Very diverse buffet but containing a lot of defrosted (and still cold) products. We didn't eat anything. Since everything was paid in advance... no goodbye. We throw our key in a box. We paid more because, in August, there are musical events in the city center and, apparently, the hotel was full (we booked well in advance). Administrative and accounting management to review: the day after our stay, we receive an email asking us to pay our bill? (Even though the transfer was made several weeks earlier). We are very disappointed. The value for money is bad. We will go elsewhere next time, especially since the hotelier did not apologize for his mistake. (And for the record, the second invoice sent had a lower amount than what we paid based on the first invoice. …). Find the error.

A hotel with a surprising design with funny and artistic accents in every room and living areas. Free coffee, beers in the fridge with a notepad, quiet rooms and an extensive breakfast buffet. Bicycles could be stored in the garage 200m away. Close to the station, so ideal for a city walk through Kortijk and beautiful bike rides through the Flemish countryside.

Fijn hotelletje met karaktervolle kamers. Inchecken via een automaat, helemaal OK. Kamers zijn ietwat speciaal, wij houden ervan. Prima badkamer. Ontbijt was goed, de dame die er was vriendelijk en voorkomend. We komen graag nog eens terug!
