Colonides Beach Hotel

Colonides delivered everything promised and more during our recent stay at this quality hotel. The location is beautiful. Perched above beach level, the views across the Messinian Gulf to the rugged terrain of the Mani are stunning. We were welcomed by the very charming Marianna who gave us a comprehensive tour of the site and all the details needed for our time at Colonides. Our room was a deluxe sea-view. It was clean, bright and comfortable. There was ample storage space and the air conditioning was very effective. The sea view certainly did not disappoint and we enjoyed this every evening from the private balcony. Breakfast was excellent! Served in a restaurant which extended onto an open aired terrace with those fabulous views, there was a very good choice of food which was constantly replenished. I loved the various filo pies and one day, there was even a baked cheesecake which was delicious! Lunch and dinner were also served in the same area. The menu for each was varied, sometimes with specials and overall the quality of the food was excellent. What really stood out though and made our stay special was the kind and generous hospitality shown by the staff. All who we encountered were lovely but we would single out Anastasia and her team in the restaurant, including Ledia and George, whose company we enjoyed immensely. Any business is only as good as its people and these people are an invaluable credit to Colonides. Hope to visit again one day and cannot recommend highly enough 😊

Stayed here for a week in September 2024 - our second visit. This is a lovely boutique style hotel with amazing sea views from two super pools and the restaurant. There is something for everyone at breakfast, with seating both inside and out. The staff are very friendly too. Three restaurants are in walking distance, as is the main sandy beach. A great place to relax and unwind.

The hotel is in a very beautiful spot. Not actually by the beach, more on the cliff above the beach. The infinity pool is fabulous and next to the restaurant where a great breakfast is served. The views across the bay towards the Taygetos mountains are spectacular. It was our anniversary and the hotel left us a gift of fresh fruit and chilled fizz in our room, which was lovely touch. We booked a garden view but sadly had a view of the side of the reception building, unless you cricked your neck, there was no view of the garden. There were a few issues with the room as the door key or safe didn't work. The self catering kitchenette is adequate but we would've really appreciated some washing up equipment. Running down the road to buy some Fairy liquid for a 3 night stay wasn't on my 'must do' lists! The staff are very helpful, pleasant as all Greeks are and most efficient.

Enjoyed our 4 night stay here Beautiful hotel, meticulously clean grounds, pools and room. Scary parking but maybe that's my driving skill. Everything top rate except the orange juice at breakfast.

Wonderful experience Wonderful hotel, grounds and staff! Rooms could use an update but overall excellent experience. The infinity pool had an amazing view, that makes you want to stay there all day. Top notch staff at reception, restaurant and cleaning crew.

Wonderful experience! Hotel - up and down the hill the 2 levels of the small, quite and comfortable blocks with rooms. Pool - 2 pools , whereas one is an infinity pool with spectacular sea view on horizon. Restaurant - tasty and ‘designed ’ plates for lunch and dinner. Entertainment- theme nights-saxophone life music. Sport - yoga place with breathtaking sea view. Service - dedicated personal approach- Goulia and Angela during the breakfast time- arranged vegan milk and yogurt specially for me , Marianna , Gregory, Yiannis on the reception managed to find and book an appointment in local hair saloon, Vasilis ( the owner) entertained my son while I was chilling out with saxophone rhythms. Amazing team also in the Peroulia beach restaurant, where you can have a free sun bed, if you book the hotel directly from its website. Thank you Nicos ( owner) , George , Stavros , Yiannos, Panayiotis and Beach “boss’ - Panayiotis ! Can not think something more I could ask for. Definitely will return again ! Looking forward also to train in the new fitness studio ( under construction) !
