Kairaba Sandy Villas - All Inclusive - Adults Only

Pros - Friendly Restaurant Staff - Decent food at the Kairaba restaurant. Cons - Unclean - Rooms not maintained - location isn’t great if you want to do anything - part of a much larger resort which is child friendly, with most of the facilities advertised actually within the other hotel, which is worse than Kairaba. We arrived to the hotel around 3pm, we had been travelling since 5am and when we arrived, the room wasn’t ready and we were unable to eat as lunch time had finished. We waited around another hour for our room to be ready. When we arrived to the room we found: - Mould in the shower. - Cobwebs full of dead mosquitos. - Damaged furniture. - Areas of the room unfinished, e.g areas where they hadn’t plastered/painted. - They’ve clearly had leak problems, which have been covered in excessive amounts of silicone. We went to speak to reception who were quite hostile, they said we could move rooms tomorrow. When tomorrow came, we went to speak to the again, and they now didn’t have another room for us - my partner and I were confused as we were told one thing yesterday and another today. Eventually we got moved rooms, and they immediately put other guests in our original room, which we did feel guilty about as that room required days, not hours of maintenance. The new room was marginally better but still had its faults (torn bed frame, broken lamp and the exterior door was smaller than the frame so the mosquitos could easily get in). After this incident, staff made us feel guilty for complaining and I felt uncomfortable walking through reception. The pool areas were unclean, there was a layer of grime around the swim up bar and the pool edges were covered with mould (please see images). The biggest issue for us, is we wanted a nice relaxing, adults only holiday, when we arrived, we learnt that Kairaba was effectively part of the Labranda Sandy Beach resort, which is a huge 2* child friendly resort and most of the facilities are shared with this hotel, all of the A La Carte restaurants are at the Labranda, and honestly the buffet food at Kairaba is better than these. It also meant the beach was full of children and the area roped of for Kairaba guests was also full of children, as there is no one monitoring. We did receive a small refund from TUI in the end after sending the images of the hotel. We would not recommend Sandy Villas, and will not be returning.

After four back to back city breaks we were ready for something more laid back, and this Hotel absolutely fitted the brief. From check in to departure the staff were genuinely welcoming and friendly, without being intrusive, and the whole set up meant we could split our day into easy sections without feeling stuck on the spot- morning by our room pool, early afternoon on the beach and later afternoon by the main pool, always able to get a sun bed where we wanted to be. The evening entertainment was a bit variable, a shame the rain stopped one duo from performing. The beach set up was exceptional, we thought we would go down once to say we'd had a paddle, but because it was so easy to get a comfortable sun bed (with easy access to bars and loos) we went down every day. Our only minor quibble, we did not get many dishes we recognised as Greek (possibly due to the history of Corfu being unoccupied by the Ottomans) but we had hoped to get some lovely lamb dishes. Also some of the labelling was a bit hit and miss, desserts you often had the guess on the flavour, and on one day three dishes had the label "muffin huevos" - one was carrot soup, one was a side dish and one was a dessert! My husband was disappointed that the ice cream disappeared as he was having it twice a day. It was also surprising not to be able to get a gelato as part of AI on the sister resort, especially for a place aimed at families. We had a wonderful time and are already trying to work out when we can return. Thank you for all your efforts in ensuring we hadcan enjoyable and relaxing stay.

This is our second visit to kairaba Sandy Villas. The food is very good with plenty of choice, the rooms are spacious and spotless and the facilities are brilliant. I have to agree with other reviews that the biggest and best asset the Kairaba has is its staff. They are all so friendly and welcoming but special shout out to Vasso who stood out on both our visits and remembered us from our previous stay. Always welcoming with a beautiful smile and such a warm personality, she made both our stays that little bit more special. Thanks for some more great memories & we hope to be back!

We stayed for 4 nights in Kairaba Sandy Villas and will certainly be back. The experience was amazing from the second we arrived until we left. The rooms were gorgeous, clean and very comfortable. There was a wide variety of food each day and evening and it was great being able to try all the different varieties of food. The staff go above and beyond at all times. Special mention to Ria in reception who was absolutely amazing from the moment we got there - we feel we really developed a good friendship with her during our stay. We would also like to mention Nikoletta and Telis at the pool bar, Babis in the dining room and of course Christos. We feel they all helped make our stay that bit better and stood out for us. Overall our stay was amazing and we can't wait to go back!!

Pros: Welcoming friendly staff who cannot do enough for you! Vasso is also an amazing member of staff. always smiling at the adult only pool bar, interacting with guests and making you feel at home with exceptional service! The hotel is situated between 2 other sister family hotels which is great for exploring as you can use your all inclusive wristband in these areas too. I loved the fact you could ask at reception for a golf buggy ride to the beach an he would happily turn up and take you. There is also an adults only beach pool bar which is really great as you can order from inside the pool at the bar. that bar closed at 5pm but shame it wasnt open a bit longer as i enjoyed the views of the beach very much but there were plenty of other bar areas. outside the resort is some small supermarkets, a clothes/bag shop and about 10 resteraunts/bars within walking distance from the beach. The whole place was fresh and very clean. Lots of communial gardeners constantly keeping up with keeping the area look beautiful. The food was great, lots of variety esspecially with desserts although i noticed they always seemed to have a lot of pork on the menu and would of liked to have seen a few more different meats a bit more often throughout my 7 day stay but really not a big deal as the food was very good quality and lots of other stuff to choose from. The place being mostly all white marble is like being in paradise. whats not to love? If your looking for a beautiful relaxing getaway you wont be dissapointed! Cons: We arrived at midnight and found the receptionist to be slightly unhelpful when checking in. I think he might of been new so i'll give him the benefit of the doubt. he gave us the wrong papers a couple of times an didnt seem to know exactly what he was doing. He was also chatting to someone at reception in non uniform seemed like a friend which my partner thought was there to help us with our bags but he wasnt lol So he gave us a map and we had to find our villa in the dark which was ok but was hoping he would point in the direction we were supposd to go as it was dark. 4 Things were broken in my grand suite villa: - The air con ( reported and got it fixed the next day ) - The villa outside door would not open from the inside which was a huge problem I had to climb over the hedges at the back of the pool and go round the resort to get out of the villa which i could only do if my neighbour wasnt outside. ( reported a few times but didnt get fixed til the 3rd time which i had to wait for an engineer to come round so i could explain it and show them so they didnt think it was the other inside room door ) - The batteries didnt work in one of the TV remotes ( switched them round with something else and it worked ) - The mini fridge was broken / wouldnt come on ( at this point i couldnt be botherd to report anything else ) room 722 Overall a very positive expierence and i highly recommend this place despite my fe

The hotel certainly has the wow factor from a distance. Upon closer inspection you can see it’s perhaps not quite 5-Star UK standard. Check in was lovely, welcomed with a glass of water and the receptionist Ria was something else. She was lovely, helpful and very friendly and even upgraded us to a villa which was a lovely surprise. The room was spotless and the private pool was a pleasant treat. The bed was super comfortable, a TV in each room with air con and blackout blinds. The minibar restock what items were used but perhaps some spirits would be nice. The staff in the hotel were lovely and friendly. I feel they don’t get time off as I seen them every single day without fail. The food was ok. Wide selection of salads and speciality dishes that aren’t for fussy eaters but nothing that really seemed to go together to make a meal. The club cart takes you from the hotel to the beach upon request and was a blessing after a heavy session at the beach. The pool bar at the beach was the best spot of the resort- a true hidden gem. The barman Spiros was very helpful and pleasant. He went above and beyond his barman role making sure all guests were satisfied. He cleaned the pool glass and ensured all guests had a drink if wanted.

Kairaba sandy villas was a great place to stay. The staff are lovely and very helpful, the food was amazing and the rooms beautiful. There is so much to do and I loved the glass pool.I highly recommend going there. I will be going back as soon as possible

We are just back from 4 nights at Kairaba Sandy Villas. The hotel was absolutely spotless, The rooms were spacious and well maintained with plenty of amenities. We loved the pool area, the sun loungers were comfortable and the pool bar within easy reach! The food was great quality and not repetitive. The biggest asset to this hotel is its staff and I would just like to pay particular attention to Babis in the dining room, Nicoletta at the poolside bar and Cristos. The one person who stood out for us most was Ria on reception. From the moment we set arrived, Ria was very welcoming and any requests we had were always sorted out. Ria made an effort to get to know us throughout our stay. We lost a pair of airpods one day and we thought that they were gone and told Ria about how we lost them, hours later I got a phonecall from Ria saying that they were found - it was small things like this that did not go unnoticed. We will definitely be back next year for a short break! Matthew & Kerri

The nicest hotel. You can go to the resort next door which is bigger and go to the beach. Buffet food was pretty good. Drinks also very good and you have the choice of more for a small price if you’re all inclusive. Agelos made really good pornstar martinis and was very attentive. Let us book a later check out and the extra restaurants such as Italian was insane.
