Being near to the Bodensee is the only thing this hotel got going for it. The floors were dirty, the interior was old, no AC (and that in the 30C heat!). The breakfast is very expensive and there were almost no vegan options or even fresh fruit/veggies. Would not go there again and would not recommend anyone staying here.

The bed is very comfortable. The rooms are rather too warm. The rooms are simply designed. The rooms are clean. We were there over the New Year. The New Year's dinner was very good. It's a shame that the staff doesn't speak German well. We poured the wine ourselves. Didn't have everything on the menu in stock. Personally, I was missing that certain something, the room was so empty and loveless.

We only stayed one night but overall the hotel did not meet expectations: first of all the room was supposed to be a Superior type A and instead we were assigned a standard one (in the end we accepted a discount on the payment given the impossibility of changing it); the rooms with carpet and dated furniture did not feel clean. Only the bathroom (particularly small) has been renovated. We had to request toiletries which were just basic. The breakfast room also needs renovation (for example, it is not pleasant to sit on a stained chair), breakfast was fine. In conclusion, in our opinion, the price paid is too high compared to the product supplied.

A short break here was really worth it. The oldest hotel in Germany has no technical frills, but it has family friendliness and a super great kitchen. The rooms are neat/clean and the staff is courteous and attentive. A shortcoming is the hotel's own parking spaces, there are very few and SUV drivers need strong nerves when parking and exiting. As an alternative, there are also some available in the neighboring ferry port at €16.00 per day. With the booking you will receive a season ticket for public transport at the reception. I haven't ridden that much bus in a long time. Line 1, which leaves right next to the hotel in the ferry port, takes you to the train station and puts you right in the middle. From here it is only a short walk to Sea Life, the harbor or the old town. You can also get to the island of Mainau by bus. So leave the car!

Absolut enttäuschendes Essen- es muss ja wirklich nicht immer high-end sein, aber ein Menü fast nur aus Gastronomie-Convenience verdirbt einfach den Spass am Essengehen. Lokal selbst annehmbar, ziemlich ungelernter, wenn auch bemühter Service, aber auch das naturtrübe Bier kann das Manko der lieblos zubereiteten Speisen nicht wettmachen.
