Good cordial staff. Tanmoy at the reception was very helpful. Khurshid from room service was very helpful and cordial. Overall a good experience. They too good care of the kid and even arranged special food for kid on request. Will recommend others also to try the hotel.

This summer the plan was to show Kolkata to my kids and for me, this was the time to cherish memories of my college days! Hence, I wanted to book a good hotel somewhere in central Kolkata, preferably in Park Street or Esplanade. I spoke to a few hotels and after a careful review, we chose The Astor, partly because of its heritage, location and mainly because I found Mr. Joshi very professional and an elegant person who guided us through the initial booking online. His team has delivered what was promised, even above and beyond our expectation. On arrival, we had a warm welcome, kids really loved the ambiance right from check in. Anirban, Priyanti and all the other front office staff - thank you so much for that. The entire hotel is an epitome of heritage from the glories of olden days of Kolkata. They very carefully retained the building that carries a legacy from the colonial era and the elegance is visible at every corner of the hotel – be it is the corridor or the wooden stair case, the walls, or the heritage suit where we stayed or the front desk…you are bound to fall in love with this elegance! The heritage suit is spacious, very nicely decorated and very well maintained. The food was really good, in room dining was a good experience as the room was specious. They also have a fine restaurant called Kebab E Que where we had a few meals and had the equal great experience. The roasted lamb was really great. They offer a great variety from their drinks menu, including some descent selection of cocktails. We tried the Tequila Sunrise and the Margarita and those were great! And lastly, what a well-behaved housekeeping staff – I must mention Jagadish, Rony, Rahul, Shila, Siddharth, Avijit who treated us like a family. They are so professional and they really know their Ajob so well. Thank you so much. This has been a memorable summer holiday, ended with this Kolkata visit, great to see Kolkata after so many years. We were sad to leave…but will come back again and I must recommend The Astor Hotel for a stay – they truly offer a top-notch service!

The property is in the heart of the city and very accessible to every corner. The staff is friendly and very neatly maintained etiquettes. Happy to chose this for our 5 day stay in Kolkata. Thanks to Jagdeesh, Abhijit and shila who personally addressed us for the local communication help.

My experience at Astor hotel, Calcutta was very nice and the staff were helpful. Especially staff like Anirban and Raktim, both were helpful and very kind to us. Regarding the food it was very nice and delicious. I did my breakfast as well as dinner here and it was nice food.

From the moment I arrived at Hotel Astor, I was thoroughly impressed by the warm hospitality and attention to detail. The room was impeccably clean, elegantly furnished, and offered all the modern amenities one could ask for. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the ambiance of the room made it a perfect haven to relax after a long day. The hotel’s central location made it easy to explore the city while still offering a peaceful retreat from the bustle outside.

Experience 3 days of absolute joy and happiness and gather memories to cherish for lifetime, with cordial help from Anirban Dey, Priyanti and Jagadish, the house keeping. The most standout thing that attract my mind is the charming old world nostalgia. Lastly, the room service facility is top-notch, to say the least.
