Hotel Koldingfjord

What a fantastic place from the minute you arrive. It doesn’t get better than sitting outside for a pre dinner drink overlooking the fjord on a beautiful sunny early evening 😁dinner superb and staff wonderful , bedrooms good with a view of the fjord, highly recommend, and electric car chargers

The location is amazing, Scandinavia mercurial weather aside, the rooms are also fitting of the castle style, there’s a restaurant thats open until 22:00, sauna, gyn and swimming pool, and the staff is sweet, the gifted us champagne as a wedding gift, you dont see that often and it warmed our hearts, its highly recommended, they will take care of you

There is almost nothing bad to say about this place. The location is magnificent, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the breakfast is delicious. It is hard to get to Koldingfjord without a car, so finding a parking spot is almost the only thing that requires a bit of effort. Also, there are not too many options for dining except at the hotel, unless you drive to Kolding. The restaurant and cafe were both fully booked during my stay, but the room service worked well. A small wood surrounds the hotel. It is very nice to go for a walk or a run in this area; the longest route is only 2.6 km, but since the wood is on a hillside it feels like a bit more. For people who want to work out there is a pool and a fitness room. As is typical for hotels of this kind, both of these facilities are small but also, usually, empty, and therefore still quite sufficient for those who need them.

Been staying in Kolding fairly frequently for a while, but wasn’t aware of this place. Booked in due a team event being hosted here and how suspect I’ll stay in the future whenever visiting Kolding. Lovely welcome by the staff, exceptional views, beautiful food and decent facilities. It’s a bit of a no brainer!

This was the most amazing hotel we visited in this trip. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was great. The grounds are amazing. We stayed in one of the suites and it was perfect to just sit on the porch. This hotel was perfect. I would definitely stay here again.

An amazing historical place where we enjoyed the view over the fjord from the terraces. The wellness facilities and nice food! Excellent services from friendly staff. We would like to visit this place again.

Great hotel with a very accommodating front desk manager that took care of us before, throughout, and after our entire stay. We spent 30 days at the hotel and everyone from the front desk staff, housekeeping, and the restaurant staff were very helpful and accommodating to the many requests we made because we were long-term guests. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the room we had overlooked the trees as well as the fjord. The morning breakfast was very nice with plenty of options, including gluten-free options. Hotel is a little bit out of town, but that is another part we liked about our stay. Very peaceful with nice walking around the area close to the hotel. The only downside is from the fact that we were long-term guests… the restaurant kitchen struggled to make some light food. The standard menu is heavy for lunch and dinner on a daily basis… not to mention pricey for a long term stay. (unfortunately a family member hurt themselves during our stay, so family could not leave the grounds easily or we could have went downtown for food) It would’ve been nice if they could offer a light menu with perhaps a mixed salad with blueberries, strawberries, some nuts with grilled chicken or fish (Soup & Salad?). The kitchen did the best they could with what they had during our stay. Thanks for the stay to everyone at the hotel, especially our morning barista!!

Spa is fantastic, big compared to lots of others we've been to in the UK. It had a very industrial feel... lots of square granite tiling but that did mean thry used space well & there was lots of seating & facilities.... the drinks & fruit were an added bonus! Food was great, but we were quite shocked about just how many people were in the hotel... very busy dining room! Lovely setting with views of the sea, easy parking. Its an old sanitorium and room are quite small so you may want avoid taking lots of luggage!

Stayed here for one night as we wanted a hotel with a pool on our road trip. Of course when we arrived, we were told that the pool was closed because of technical reasons (whatever that is) and also that the on site restaurant was fully booked. Not a great start, but we carried on to our room located in a separate building. The room was nice enough, but had a slight smell of seward coming from the bathroom, one of the towels had an unidentifiable brown stain on it and there was a dead bug in the window. Probably (and really hopefully) the room hadn't been used for a while, so by opening a window when driving for dinner, the smell was gone when we came back. Breakfast was ok, but there is no doubt that there is a heavy focus on breakfast cost, as things could have been much better just with a slight loving touch from the chefs. Instead it seemed like minimum effort within an acceptable but very dull selection. Luckily the pool had opened again in the morning so our small one got to enjoy it for half an hour before we had to check out. Otherwise the grounds are nice and so are the surroundings, but they charge quite a lot, and with that regard the value for money should be better.
