Hotels in Sairee Beach, Koh Tao

We had an amazing stay at this resort. The staff were great and very helpful. They offered a shuttle to and from the pier which was great. They had scooter located right at the hotel to rent which is definitely they way to get around and explore koh Tao, don’t try to get around by vehicle it takes too long. The resort itself was amazing, breakfast was great and because its location up on the hill it made for some really awesome sunset pictures. The restaurant closes at 3 but honestly there are so many great restaurants in town that you will want to head there for dinner. The location might be the best part as koh Tao is a pretty busy little island and so it is nice to get out of the chaos so you can relax a bit in peace. Overall this resort was an amazing experience and I would definitely stay here again. Don’t listen to some of the other reviews, I was skeptical about staying here after I had read some of the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised once we got to the resort.

Great choise for all aspects! It is located close to all activities in Sairee beach, all best restaurants and daily goods saling shops, but it is quiet, no disturbance from parties or walking street noise. Hotel located in quite corner. Update: staff (front desk and housekeepers) speaks English as well (Trip.com description mentioned only Thai and Sweden as spoken languages). Room was clean and convinient with 24 hours hot water nd electricity supply. Owner allowed us to check out later, but did not charge anything, special thanks for that. If we will come back to Koh Tao, definately this hotel will be our primary choice.

I would not recommend staying at Sairee Hut Resort. The place is extremely run down. Our room had no hot water, the shower drain was clogged and overflowing, and mosquitoes filled the room, making it uncomfortable to sleep. However, what bothered me most was the resort’s treatment of animals. They keep wild birds confined in small cages out front, with barely any room to move, let alone fly. I’m not sure if this is cultural or meant for tourist entertainment since the birds can talk, but whatever the reason, it is cruel! Birds are meant to be free, not locked in cages for display. These birds were kept in the cages for the entire duration of our stay, and I can only imagine how long they’ve been trapped there. Overall, this resort was disappointing, both in its facilities and ethics. I would not stay here again.

Very cost-effective seaside cottage, the environment is very good. The seaside restaurant is a great place to enjoy the sunset. The front desk lady can enthusiastically arrange all the itinerary for you. The fly in the ointment is that there is no arrangement to pick up the boat on the day of arrival, and it is delayed for a long time to make a good call.

Bans! Been in and out this place throughout the years since 2015 and kept coming back wether I dive or just having a chill trip in koh tao. Bans, was by far MY FAV for many reasons. Location is great, big resorts, i am in love with pool with cafe (behind the lake) and their outdoor shower + amenities! I enjoy my morning dips, my painting session, my coffee and books afternoon. Just this time round, it was just a tad different feelings and experience. Mostly are still great but theres confusion of the room booked and the actual room itself (i reckon website needs to be updated and clearer details) and a minor incident where I have to pay additional 1 night just because the reception didn’t remember that Ive paid which partly my fault for not asking receipt and or prove of payment. Also, Bans used to be having such a great team member in service but ive came across some that’s quite cold and impatient unfortunately this time round unfortunately. sad 😢 and last thing my room floor were sandy meaning the room cleaning isnt that immaculate. Hopefully, next time I go back “home” this feeling was just such indifference and bans will still be me fav.

Great accommodation and friendly staff. We wanted to rent a scooter but they ask for your passport as a deposit so we rented a scooter from someone else. I also don't understand that you give your passport as a deposit, then you are really stupid. Paying with credit card costs you 5% extra on the amount you want to pay, also not really service-oriented. Furthermore, we had a great stay and you are picked up from the pier and also brought and they sell boat tickets to Koh Phangan and Koh Samui.

The location is nice and quiet, walking distance to other restaurants through the beach. The beach is very nice, clean and good for kids especially when the tide is low. Our Cabana was spacious, beautiful, although a bit dark. The water pressure was low and we didn’t have hot water. We asked them to fix it but it didn’t happen on time before our check-out. We stayed for two nights. The pool has a waterfall, and it looks a little run down. Nice view to the sea from the pool, though. The breakfast (included) was ok. Fruits, bread, but not many options for vegetarian/vegans in the menu. Dinners were good. Overall, a beautiful hotel, kind staff, great location, maintenance response could be better.

Great little hotel right on the main beach of Koh Tao. Our standard room was huge with lots of room to unpack which made our stay very comfortable.

Booked a beachfront room and it was exactly as it looks in the pictures. Direct access to the beach via a private ladder. There is a hammock net outside which is great for relaxing, reading a book, or just watching the sunset. The mattress is comfy; the pillows have foam/fibre filling so could be better, and personally I found the duvet unnecessarily warm for a tropical climate which meant I had to turn the aircon up really cold. There is no swimming pool, but who needs one when the sea a step away. Breakfast choices are simple but tasty; the service staff are very friendly and helpful, but I was charged for a coffee refill which I think is unnecessary. The reports about loud music from the Fishbowl Bar are correct. Don’t stay here if you are an early or light sleeper; thumping bass music until 2am every night. However, just remember that there are few places in the world that you can get a beachfront room at such a price (I stayed during the shoulder season so the price/value equation was good for me, so decide accordingly for yourself). Location-wise (part from the loud nightly music) you can’t beat this, a step away from some great upscale restaurants as well as more traditional Thai eateries.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sairee Sairee. Great location and hospitality. Nook is the man to go to if you have any questions: extremely friendly and helpful. Loves Manchester United. Awesome dude. The hotel rooms are situated behind the restaurant (must try the pizza: very delicious). This helps to block out the noise coming from the main street. Also, there is a bike rental place directly across from the hotel which is extremely convenient. Highly recommend staying at Sairee Sairee.
