I recently stayed at Tatoa Resort and had an exceptional experience! The resort boasts stunning views and is nestled in a tranquil setting that provides the perfect escape from city life. The staff at Tatoa Resort were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The hotel is okay,the location is a little bit far from the center. But it is really close to shark bay. The stairs are too steep. Not easy to walk.

The accommodation is next to Shark Bay. You can walk down the stairs and you'll get there. It's so amazing. And from there you can go snorkeling. You can get free equipment from the hotel, including life jackets. There are snorkeling tours from time to time because there is a big turtle at Shark Bay. It's as big as a person. The view from the accommodation is beautiful, overlooking the sea. In that area, you can walk to Sun Suwan, John Suwan, Freedom beach. One disadvantage is that since the accommodation is on a hill, you have to walk up and down a lot of stairs.

The room is OK on this island. The beach is great. If you have flippers, you can swim out to see turtles. Note that you need flippers. The current is very strong. Don't try if you are not a swimmer. In addition, this restaurant is a bit far from the town. If you plan to rent a motorcycle, just ignore me. The food in the restaurant is expensive and not to our taste. It feels like a modified European and American style. It is too sweet. There is a Tai Chi restaurant in the town that tastes good. You can try it.

The atmosphere is very beautiful. I like it.

very good view hotel suitable for relaxation There are private activities on site. Whether it's kayaking or scuba diving, you can go fishing in front of the accommodation. Or if you are lucky, you can meet Uncle Tao from the beach in front of the accommodation. Room number 11 is the highest. A little sea view. Good that when walking up to eat rice, I'm not very tired. But the bottom room next to the sea is also very beautiful.

The staff are friendly. If you go snorkeling in Baro and Shark Bay, you can even meet turtles. Breakfast is good.. There are many cats in the hotel. Other than that, if you ask the hotel, you can make reservations for motorcycle rentals, day tours, Rompraya, etc.. And it will be a round-up service. The snorkel set and life jacket rental are free.

Disappointed Service The lady fat,blonde haire staff at the front desk had an unfriendly expression and bad voice. The room had a good view only. I recommend renting a moterbike outside hotel is the best. Due they did't fill the gas tank in fully . They checked every detail and have charged a lot.

This resort is located right on Shark Bay with a small beach to sit on and where you can go snorkelling. The staff at Seaview were very friendly and helpful, lending us snorkels for free and also helping us rent a scooter for a couple of days. Our accommodation was a treehouse, which had a nice balcony (you must remember to wear bug repellent) and the room was spacious, with plenty of space for our luggage. There was air conditioning and a safe, as well as a fridge which didn’t really work. The resort is located on quite a steep hill, which means there are quite a lot of steps getting to/from the rooms to either the beach or the restaurant. In addition, where this resort is slightly out of town there are only a few restaurants within walking distance. We ended up hiring a scooter to get to Mae Haad and Sairee beaches are, which is where the majority of restaurants are.

This place is a little rustic but has some real charm. Set in the rocks on the side of the bay, it is a little steep getting up to the restaurant and back down to the rooms but there are plenty of steps about and you soon get used to the short climb. The site may need a little touch up here and there but the views from the restaurant, the quality, value and flavours of the meals available as well as the efficiency, attentiveness and sheer friendliness of the staff makes up for it. We hired a bungalow which was two separate rooms (both with an ensuite) and with a shared balcony. The property also had a gate for privacy. This was ideal for us as a family of 5, although my youngest (10) had to sleep on a mattress on the floor which she wasn't initially impressed with. However, we had views of the bay from the balcony and, generally, the beds were comfortable and the place quiet. Infact, my husband and I slept with our bedroom doors open, as we could see the sea, and were woken by some beautiful sunrises each morning. We then dozed off again until breakfast. The staff were hugely accommodating and bent over backwards for us all. We were able to borrow the kayaks and life jackets to explore the bay and, for a small fee, the team were able to drop us wherever we needed to go on the island. My husband and I did some diving with Roctopus Dive School and my girls did some try dives but it was no-issue for the Taootoh staff to take and collect us from Sairee Beach. The bay has numerous turtles and each time we snorkelled we saw at least one. It was also highly amusing watching visiting tourist boats come to the bay as you could always tell when someone had spotted a turtle as suddenly a sea of orange (from the life jackets) would move around the bay together. The location of Taatoh is great. It's off the main road and away from the rest of the guesthouses/hotels but within walking distance (10 minutes tops) of the beach, bars and seafront. Just around the corner in the opposite direction is Freedom Beach. You pay a small fee to enter but it was worth it. The beach is small and secluded but the bar has many tables to chill at (overlooking the bay) as well as comfy beanbags. There are so many fish in the waters here and we were lucky enough to see some turtles. We absolutely loved it here and are so pleased we chose it over our other choice on the opposite side of the bay. My girls have asked to go back which is always a good sign! PS - They love cats and have quite a few pets, all well cared for and very friendly.

Only the view is good. Other than that, both the staff are discriminating. The food is not delicious, the room condition is not good, the smelly, a lot of dust, even if it is a lower level room (because that range is full), but should not choose a bad practice with people who book a lower level room

We stayed for just one night at the Taatoh Seaview Resort. It was quite a journey from Koh Samui. The ferry was fun and Koh Tao was very busy when we arrived. However the hotel had a truck on standby to take us to the hotel. We arrived before the check in time and our room was ready almost instantly. We had the junior suite I think and it was two rooms, one for me and one for my daughter. The beds were extremely comfortable. The air conditioning was perfect. The mosquito nets very pretty and effective. We didn’t get any mosquito bites whilst staying there. The steps down to the beach are extremely challenging for someone my age (see my YouTube video) and the beach is very small. However, this isn’t about the beach it’s about the snorkelling in Shark Bay. My daughter had never done snorkelling and it had been a few decades since I had but we absolutely loved it. The hotel supplied life jackets, goggles, I think there was a small fee for flippers. It was brilliant. The food was lovely. Not expensive. Big hearty dishes. Great shrimps rolls. Amazing curry. The staff were the best but if our stay. From the young man who drove the shuttle service van to the ladies on the reception and all the staff. They were friendly, helpful, funny, relaxed and cool. They really helped make us feel comfortable and welcome. I’ve rated the hotel stay as 5 out of 5. It’s not a luxury Hilton… or a big brand hotel. It’s a quirky, handmade independent hotel in the jungle. It’s not perfect… sometimes it hard work… but put it all together and my daughter and I had the best time. We stayed 1 night. I was really sad to leave. I wanted to stay 100 nights. Chill, relaxed, quirky, challenging location, beautiful experience. We stayed here whilst we did our padi open water and had the best experience. Lovely bungalows and the staff were so kind and attentive. The food at the restaurant was yummy. This is our first trip alone (two 18 yo females) and we felt very safe here the whole time! Would highly recommend.
