This was my second visit to Koh Tao, and being a bit longer I thought I would treat myself a bit. I booked a Beach View Deluxe room, which could sleep at least 4 - I think they advertise 3. It was very spacious, HUGE comfy bed looking straight out over the balcony to the beach and the sea. Two of these rooms are higher up, one is lower so consider this when booking. I was higher up and would sleep with the doors open being lulled by the gentle waves on the shore and sometimes a cooling breeze. The room was excellent - very spacious, plenty of storage, great bathroom with rain shower, big balcony and lots of amenities like dressing gowns, lots of towels for the bathroom and pool / beach, toiletries etc. Fridge, safe, hairdryer. The resort is at the end of a winding up and down road, BUT it is very well surfaced and well lit - just watch out for monitor lizards and falling coconuts! The pool is lovely - clean and seems well balanced. The sun does go off that area around 15:30, but by then you will welcome some respite from the sun. And the view is amazing. Food is very good with an extensive western and Thai menu. Room service very fast and good, but table service is worth it for the views and the ambiance. Breakfast is just great. Egg station with freshly made pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs. omelettes all cooked to order. I wide selection of cereals, pastries, cooked items like mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, potatoes etc. Part way through my trip I switched to a Garden View Room as the Beach View had already been booked. This was much cosier, but had a lovely vibe. These are in "the jungle" so you will get more visitors, and with the bathroom being semi-outdoor some might find this off-putting, but I liked it. You are supplied with mosquito repelling coils which work. Just be prepared that you may have squirrels, lizards and geckos running over the outside roof in the night. All adds to the amazing stay. The star are great - very helpful, happy and smiley and always welcoming. The site is on a steep slope - as it most of Koh Tao - but there was lots of help to move luggage. If your room is at the top, prepare for a hike down (and back up) for breakfast. If your room is at the bottom, prepare for a hike back up to reception - although one can walk around the beach to get to bars on the other side of the beach. A really lovely and peaceful resort, not too far from the main Sairee Beach area which is easily accessible my moped or taxi. I would happily stay there again.
