Sala Samui Choengmon Beach Resort

Choeng Mon Beach Koh Samui|0.58km from Summit Estate
Stayed for 8 nights at Sala Samui Choengmon Beach Resort. The villa had its own private pool. Very cozy and nice. The breakfast each morning was really nice. There’s a buffet and you also get one a la carte item for breakfast to go with your buffet. So really good. Staff were super friendly and nice. The hotel evening meals were not so good. Nearby restaurants were way better and much better priced. I wished the food was super good for lunch and dinner as it would have been perfect, but unfortunately, the Thai dishes were a bit sub par, over priced and even beers and cocktails were double or triple what you pay elsewhere. Pool staff were friendly and helpful, but I wish the food and drinks at restaurant and bar were reasonably priced so we could have enjoyed it more. Nearby restaurants offer better experience. Mr Eung restaurant nearby had the best food for that area. A short drive to the best restaurant on the island called Supatrra will show you what you wish the resort had. If the manager of the Sala resort went over there and learnt a thing or two about dining then the resort could be greatly improved. Anyway, resort was nice, just the lunch and dinner needs some attention. Good location, clean and tidy. Shower gel and soaps were not the best so had to buy some outside. Don’t forget your mosquito spray. Overall, a nice experience and very relaxing, just wish the food was better. Fun stuff to do nearby, football golf, Thai cooking class, go kart racing, reggae bar, paddle ball courts, tourist shopping at night market, kickboxing show. We hired a scooter, as it’s not really walking distance to anything but a short scooter ride will get you around the island.

A very good homestay, the owner is an old grandmother, the old grandmother's English is very good, communication is not obstructed at all, the house is very clean, the staff are very enthusiastic, the breakfast is very delicious, what you want to eat, the lady will do what you want, just On the first day, my grandmother recommended me to go to the full moon party. The next day, she suggested that I go to watch Muay Thai. After being in Thailand for several days, I wanted to eat hot pot, so I asked the grandmother if I could borrow the kitchen. Of course, the hot pot ingredients are I brought it from China in advance. The old lady said it was okay. Just use it. She also told me where the nearest dock is. I can go shopping for food. I bought the ingredients at noon. When the ingredients were processed in the kitchen, the old lady came in and gave me He gave me a large portion of shrimp and told me that I had cooked the rice for us! ! I am very moved in a foreign country. We have been living here since we went to Koh Samui for almost 6 days. It is very good, and it is simply beyond words! ! !

We had a one night stay, with a balcony. Room was very nice, comfy beds and clean. All of the staff here are fantastic!! So, helpful and friendly. We had a minor incident with our safe, so it had to be broken open to retrieve our things, but it was quite a funny experience. We were kindly given breakfast on the house because of this. And it was delicious. Pool is lovely and cool, with sunbeds. The beach is a few minutes walk. And it is spectacular. One of the nicest beaches in koh Samui (although they are all amazing) Thank you for making our last night in Samui enjoyable. Would love to return :)

Loved the interiors and architecture. Breakfast was excellent but stick to the buffet (the items ordered off the menu were disappointing, as were the smoothies). Rooms are huge and beds supremely comfortable. The air conditioning is a bit hard to control (either too warm or too cold). Food was a bit hit and miss unfortunately. Some of the meals were delicious, others so-so. I would have appreciated some smaller, simpler and vegetarian snacks (nachos, more varied fruit, etc) on the menu, especially at the pool. The Fish House is beautifully set but again, please add some more vegetarian food! Service was also often very slow unfortunately and not up to 5 star standards (plates standing around the pool area for hours etc). Kids club was great and the hotel was generally very kid-friendly with lots of amenities provided. Beach was awfully polluted, plastic everywhere. I was put off swimming in the sea completely during our stay. We were told it's not always this bad though. Koh Samui has a massive pollution problem around its beaches, which must be addressed. We had the same issue at another hotel. Good thing the Kimpton has nice pools!
