Chaweng Noi
The hotel is not directly at the main Chaweng Beach, which also means peace and quiet. You can take a taxi into the city for about 6 euros (definitely ask the older, super nice lady opposite at the exit. You won't find a better taxi). Hotel is certainly not the newest, but everything is very well maintained. Everything works in the rooms and the beds are good too. Gym is very decent for a hotel, breakfast and dinner very good. There are enough loungers by the pool and by the sea. The beach is certainly one of the most beautiful and quietest in Ko Samui. The staff was also super nice and friendly! Very happy next time again.

We stayed in a King Pool View room which was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Amaya Restaurant was excellent. There were many options for breakfast and the meals were great. Prego Italian Restaurant was exceptional, both in terms of food and service. Couldn't fault any of the Amari staff. Fantastic service and friendly smiles from everyone including Management, Reception, Restaurant staff, Spa staff, Road Crossing staff, Maintenance and Housekeeping. Special mentions go to the lovely hosts Wee and Keng who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and helped us with anything we needed to know. Also Noung who we nicknamed ”the hardest working man in Thailand”. He never stopped as he worked tirelessly in Amaya Restaurant and around the hotel grounds. The resort was a little away from the hustle and bustle but an easy walk into the centre of town. Would recommend Amari to anybody thinking of staying at Chaweng and look forward to returning there in the future.

Choeng Mon Beach
Six Senses Samui is everything I could have hoped for and more. We were lucky enough to stay in a Hideaway Pool Villa - an absolutely gorgeous huge room with an amazing bathroom and an outdoor shower. The villa has its own private pool with sun-loungers and outdoor lounge seating and is absolutely spectacular. I had the opportunity to see a couple of the other pool villas and the ocean view suites really are exceptional with either sunrise or sunset views. The infinity pool is stunning and has far reaching ocean views. Drink and food service by the pool is fantastic with a lovely menu. Drift is Six Senses Samui’s beach club. With a pool, bar and the most comfortable loungers and seating imaginable. There was never an issue finding a lounger either at the pool or down on the beach. Drift Bar has a livelier atmosphere than the serene infinity pool and is a great place for lunch or afternoon cocktails at Happy Hour. Dining on the Hill is wonderful for breakfast - a fantastic selection on both the buffet and a La carte menu. Dinner was fantastic - a great selection of both Thai and Western food and I’d highly recommend booking Half Board. The resort is so beautiful at night as well with all the lights twinkling. We didn’t have the opportunity to eat at Dining on the Rocks but heard that it was a very special experience. The staff at Six Senses are all lovely. Each Villa is assigned a GEM (Guest Experience Maker) and we were lucky enough to have the wonderful Beth. Beth made us feel so welcome and was so helpful and friendly - he really is a credit to Six Senses and made our stay even more wonderful. Although you can walk around the resort and take in the views, when the heat becomes too much for the hills and steps, buggy’s are readily available to transport you around. Despite the size of the resort it somehow still retains an intimate feel. Despite feeling totally secluded in Paradise, Six Senses is only a 15 minute taxi journey from Samui Airport as well as The Fisherman’s Village which is well worth a visit - we loved the Fire Show at Coco Tams as recommended by Beth our GEM. Sustainability is clearly very important to Six Senses and it’s great not to see plastic anywhere at the resort. Six Senses Samui is the perfect destination for couples and families - there are plenty of activities available for children and adults alike if you can tear yourself away from the stunning views!

Lamai Beach
As we approached the hotel we were stunned by the old fashioned quaintness of the property. Ornate gold opulence everywhere, and welcome smiles and cold drinks at check in. If Lamai is your destination and your budget can handle it then this is the place to stay. The suite is enormous and private. The outdoor shower over 4m square! Beautiful, sunny terrace with a large pagoda for shade overlooking the ocean and our own warm pool, kitchen with washing machine and powder, 2 air con units, ceiling fan over the enormous bed. The jacqussi was really deep and long. Outside there's a clean infinity pool by the sea, plenty of beds and such attentive staff who cannot help you enough. When not busy they clean up the wide beach with lots of laughs, making guests happy seems so natural. Breakfast is fun, you pre-order and Gale serves whenever you decide to arrive. Seems to be no set order, so when hot food comes your way, eat it! The fruit can wait. Endless latte with no hurry, joy. Have to congratulate Steve on a wonderful job, Tu, Non so helpful. Booa, Gale, Nan for keeping us entertained with endless enthusiasm and all the staff, just brilliant. So many people stay 2 or 3 nights and are missing out on the full experience. 11 nights was perfect, 🙏

Chaweng Beach
After managing to secure a booking for the 2 x Duplex Pool Villas myself and our friends were looking forward to rounding off the previous 3 weeks with a relaxing 10 Days after a long trip visiting Singapore, Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Hanoi, Bangkok & Finally Koh Samui. The rooms booked vary between prices but generally are charged out between 4K - 8K per week so you would expect top notch facilities and service - to be fair we paid slightly less due to booking it months in advance but regardless if I had paid full price I would have been severely narked to say the least. Room Plenty of space and the infinity pool on the 2nd floor looked great in the photos on the website. The reality is shoddy workmanship is all over the rooms and the cleaning of the room is not great. (See Photos) The pool furniture is a joke - your paying top prices for basic plastic beds, ripped parasol - our friends didnt even have one. The small main pool had lovely Ratan Furniture with comfy pads and we get cheap plastic crap. *** Restaurant Staff were mainly friendly, cocktails literally had no alcohol in them and when we asked for more alcohol a couple of staff members moaned and pulled faces. Food was reasonable but Pizza base was just sloppy and not cooked so 2 pizzas we had were in the main inedible. We booked 4 meals one lunchtime, all 4 meals turned up at different times and by the time the last meal arrived 2 meals were already finished and this took over an hour. If you fancy a nice quiet drink at night forget it - last orders are 8.50am and staff are pushing you to leave the outside seating area 40 mins later regardless of wether you have finished your drinks or not. In summary its a shame that the most expensive rooms are not what is depicted on the website and why on earth the owners never checked the finishes of these is beyond me - I can only assume they were running out of money as the finishes are pitiful - other cheaper rooms locations are not great with no views whatsoever. Infinity Pool is excellent - If you are looking for a Luxury Break this is not the hotel for you !!!
