Best Hotels near Odessa Waterfall, Koh Samui

I don’t often write reviews, but always use them to make choices when looking to stay here. I booked this hotel to stay at for my son’s 10th birthday in January 2024. The room I booked was no refundable, but having read reviews I was happy to take the risk. 2 hours before we were due to travel there we received an email to say that their pool was closed due to unplanned renovations. Let’s be honest, this is the hotels only real selling point and the whole reason I booked it in the first place. Disappointed, we had no choice but to travel to the hotel to discuss things with their team in person. Arriving at the hotel it was a mess, almost looked derelict. Whoever took their hotel photos needs a pay rise, put it that way. It was clear that the work wasn’t unplanned, and in fact had been going on for some time. Letting guests know on the day they travel is obviously a ploy to prevent confrontation. We were told that we had the use of a pool at their sister hotel, 15 minutes away by shuttle. This runs every 2/3 hours. Not the fairy tail birthday I had in mind for my son if I’m honest. To compound things, the hotel refused to refund me my money and I had to pay again to stay at a hotel that was able to provide the facilities it promised. Looking back at the hotel, there were clear signs. They haven’t had a positive review since 2021, that tells its own story. If you are thinking of staying here, please don’t. Away from the hustle of central Chaweng, so is a good spot to be based for quiet times and used as a base to explore the island. Beachfront pool villas are nice, large and great views of the ocean. Private pool is a bonus and well worth the upgrade. Hotel was busy when I stayed and everyone seemed to be happy and enjoying themselves. The pool isn’t the largest but plentiful for the amount of rooms. Don’t forget, there are the villas with private pools, so a fair number of guests will be in their own area. Access to the beach is not directly in front of the hotel, but that’s a good thing otherwise I would be hearing everyone in front of my villa each day. Access is the side of the resort just past the restaurant. Along this stretch of beach has a few other hotel bars and restaurants to eat and drink in and if you head to the furtherest headland point, and head inland, you will come across a handful of bars and restaurants. As many people have said, the hotel is next to a road - but like most hotels in Samui, it’s just the design of the island. You can avoid the main road for your walk to the local area by going along the stretch of beach. And when you are on the island, why wouldn’t you want to walk along the beach?! So don’t listen to those comments about nothing nearby. If you want the hustle of the nightlife, Chaweng central is 15 minutes away. Get on the shuttle or order a taxi for 300thb. It’s a 4 star hotel, trying to get back to some kind of normal after covid and over time, I am sure the owners will reinvest their money to make improvements where some other guests have commented about in other posts but I do think it is dependent on the room type you book and/or are assigned as most of them are fine. Give it a go, it is worth it. I’ve been to many hotels over the years - more than the average Joe - and it’s only recently where I’ve checked in and out of two hotels on the same day in all these years.

We stayed here for 6 nights. in January 2023. Staff were friendly, respectful, accommodating & wanted to make our stay wonderful. Special thanks to a lady who ensured our room was really special and cleaned. The room was great and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was awesome and an old man was there, paying attention to all the guests. The hotel in ideally located right on a road opposite of Chaweng Noi beach that is very quiet and amazing place to suntan and relax. A seven eleven is near by the Hotel just 10 min walk. it is 100 Baht to take into the town center by tuk tuk. We rent a motorbike from the hotel which was brand new and we did not need to pay for a taxi anymore. The hotel restaurant offers a variety of foods & overlooks a nice pool with lovely setting. I would definitely come back here & would recommend it without hesitation. Thank you Chaweng Noi Pool Villa for an amazing holiday.

When we arrived at Ko Samui airport, the transfer service from the hotel worked perfectly. We received a very warm welcome at the hotel and were given our room straight away. The room (Grand Deluxe Room) far exceeded our expectations. It's less of a room and more of a small apartment without a kitchen. The hotel complex is absolutely paradisiacal. Lots of beautiful plants and very well maintained. The beach was amazing, the most beautiful beach we have seen on Ko Samui (we explored the whole island by motorbike that we also rent from the hotel). The sea - turquoise blue clear water. The great thing is that it is a private beach so only accessible to hotel guests and therefore not overcrowded. The food was fantastic. There is a very large selection and there really is something for everyone. The pool area directly on the beach with an included pool bar is very beautiful. And the cleanliness of the whole hotel was excellent. What particularly impressed us and what we have never experienced on our many trips... was the warmth and friendliness of all the staff. Everyone was always helpful, funny and good organized. Friendships developed in this short time, for which we are very grateful. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for what you have done for us. You gave us a wonderful honeymoon and organized such a beautiful candlelight dinner that we will never forget in our lives. Traveling on the island of Samui in Thailand, they stayed at Samui First House 3* on the beach of Chaveng Noi, on the eastern side of the island in March 2020. The hotel is a three-star hotel, old, no territory but wins everything because of the location! On the first line at the beginning of the beach. Always enough chedrons with umbrellas Just opposite in the water there are huge walnuts that play the role of the waves. The poet swim is very comfortable. Beside them you can take snorkeling, look at fish. The beach is big. It is nice to walk along the sand along the sea. The sea is warm, transparent turquoise water. Living in a deluxe on the second floor with a view to the sea. The room is good, there is everything you need, even an extra bed. The bathroom is a shower bath. There is a swimming pool. The restaurant serves a Swedish table for breakfast, Choice is small but you will not stay hungry. There is infrastructure near the hotel. Cafe, Family Mart, spa salons. To the center of Chavenga you can leave on a tuck-tuck for 20 b. A small hotel with the best location. Nearby are 4.5* hotels that are not different. Why overpay? I recommend it to everyone.

From the moment we arrived at the resort, we received the best service and assistance. The room was very big and spacious with big windows for lots of natural sunlight. The resort is right on the beautiful Lamai beach with sun loungers to chill and enjoy a drink. The area is very peaceful and perfect for unwinding. The resort has a massive swimming pool and a beautiful dining area outside. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this resort!

Amazing service and room. There is a ”surprise of the day” which you can order to the room once a day which is very nice. In addition there is a cocktail bar in the room and gin, vodka and whiskey for you to make your own cocktails which is very cool. The breakfast has a huge variety and very high quality. In addition you can order some special courses from the menu.

The large hotel has modern and very clean rooms and a very good room service. The TV in my room did not work. The swimming pool is very nice but unfortunately there is no gym available. You can rent a motorbike there for 300 baht per day (quite expensive) but unfortunately the staff there is not easy to reach when you wanna return the bike. You can park the bike at the nearby Central shopping mall which is quite complicated because the parking space is very narrow. All in all I would recommend the hotel!

The best buffet breakfast. With a restaurant overlooking the sea. The pool is located in an area with access to the sea, which means that you can choose to sunbathe upstairs by the pool or on the sun loungers on the sand.

This is my favorite hotel ever Holiday Inn Samui. Perfectly Breakfast, Fully furnished room, Big swimming pool, Kids playground, Kids Club and etc.I have to mention this; we met ‘Khun Nim’ at the great breakfast restaurant and she took our family to the Kid club… After 3 days our child almost sleep there. They’ve got 3 or 4 staffs am not sure to take care of your children and also break time to clean the room, toys and etc. For parents are perfect cause you can leave them there, some information paper to sign, just don’t worry they’ve lots of activities for your children; playing, listening, watching, painting, drawing and climbing. We need more time here.
