I've done 3 YTTs in my life so far. 1 in Europe (Germany) 1 on Koh Phangan and now 1 here on Koh Samui at Vikasa. I teach a lot myself, travel full time around the planet and see a lot. Compared to the previous YTTs I took and the standard of teachers I saw around the world Vikasa is really outstanding. When I take a YTT it's not that much of a vacation to me, it's about learning. Therefore it's most important to me that the teachers are great. Vikasa offers 5 different head teachers supported by 4 assistances. All teachers have their own unique style of teaching and present different parts of the YTT correlated to their talents and strength. Outstanding to me were the physical classes with Rama, the pranayama sessions with Kosta and the experiences with Nikki. The Schedule also covered some really interesting parts such as yoga biz (online and offline) as well as excursions to a waterfall and a sadhana beach day. For the vacation aspect: The location of Vikasa is ideal to just disappear for a while in a yoga bubble. The venues are ideal (ac/fan/open sala etc.). The pool is famous for stunning sunrise pictures. The food at the life cafe is also great. I stayed the 5 weeks with my partner and we had one of the Lotus pad bungalows next to the pool. You are surrounded by nature and I slept like a baby. The staff cleaned the room once per day and everyone around the entire place was super friendly and helpful. We had our graduation party on a boat which is another extraordinary point. I never had such a fun graduation event. If I'm about to recommend someone to take a YTT, it will be here at Vikasa. Thanks to the team, the teachers and the founders for building this beautiful place that brings so much growth and help to thousands of yogi. I enjoyed my stay a lot and I'll be back for sure! Namste :)

There is no breakfast in the apartment, parking is free, you can cook, the apartment has a swimming pool, gym, steaming rice, tennis court, very close to the night fishing market of Pope Fishing Village, drive to Chaweng for more than ten minutes, go to the big supermarket Big C More than a minute, the car location is still good, the customer service attitude is very good, smile and treat people, not a smile country, porridge

Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were contactable when we arrived via telephone. We had a room on the top floor with a balcony, facing the road. There was a kettle, microwave, fridge, wardrobe with hangers, safe in the room, WiFi, aircon, an electric fan and cutlery. We found this great as we could make our own snacks / refreshments. The beds were hard and I could feel the springs in my ribs on occasions but still slept fairly well. Shower is powerful. Complimentary bottle of water on arrival and rooms were cleaned every other day. The only downside to this hotel is the location it’s a bit of a walk from the bo phut beach fisherman’s village and also on a main road which can be quite dangerous when walking around but we found it okay. Would recommend if you are looking for something cheap and cheerful.

I don’t believe in leaving negative reviews, but people need to STAY AWAY from this hotel. It was a total nightmare and ruined our trip! We nicely asked the male owner for a higher room away from the road, where he started yelling at us. He first, couldn’t locate our booking after 10 minutes even after I showed him on my phone through my Agoda app and emails. He didn’t want to help and was rude to my Thai girlfriend and me. A cleaner lady heard him yelling and said he is always like this in Thai and nicely got a key for a higher room away from the road. I’ve never experienced this before and was utterly shocked by his behaviour. If you log onto Tripadvisor and look at the 1 star reviews, it’s a common problem with the male owner at this hotel where some reviews say the owners like to get drunk at times. I’m not the only person being yelled at when I ask for something nicely. The room was average where the air conditioner was weak. It took a good hour to cool down the room. I couldn’t go to the toilet cause the toilet paper holder was in the way in a small tight corner. No toilet paper was in the room, so I had to go to a restaurant down the road to use the toilet. I have an average body size for a Westerner. It’s 2022, and you would think the internet would be fast everywhere, but it was only 5MB speed which dropped out all the time and was very slow, like dial-up. I’ve stayed at many hotels around Ko Samui over the years, and the internet is always great. I had full bars of Wifi strength where the hotel was very quiet, but the internet was very poor and unusable even at 3am. I had to spend 400 baht for an internet plan on my phone and set up a hotspot. The room was never clean, even after putting a sign on the door to clean it in the morning. When it was time to check out after 2 regretful days where haven’t spoken to the owner since checking in, I asked for a taxi nicely where he refused to call one. He told us to go walk down the road and find one. The whole experience was a total nightmare that ruined our holiday, which no one should experience when they are on holiday.

We were impressed by the cleanliness of the property as well as the helpfulness of the staff. Shout out to Ms. Saowalak for helping us book our island hopping tour, airport transfer, and even our laundry. Thankful she was at the reception daily during our four day stay. Room size was adequate. Book the room with balcony if you can. No elevator but that wasn't a problem for us. The property is within walking distance to restaurants, souvenir shops, massage places, and Chaweng Beach. About 30 minutes by foot to the busy The Green Mango Club and ARKBar Beach Club. Check out the nearby Seen Beach Club if you can. Overall great stay. Highly recommended!
