It’s good location and we have nice villa, but cleaning there is so so, also 5 pm everything stop working. Reception, restaurant, beach access, service. It’s ridiculous! Cuz you are in vacation. And it’s terrible terrible wi fi. If you need to work there sometime - forget about that.

The Weekender is a beautiful, older hotel on the most beautiful stretch of beach in Lamai. Rooms come in different categories. We opted for a superior room with a garden view and got a nice room on the 3rd floor. Unfortunately, we soon discovered that the air conditioning wasn't working properly. Even after an hour, the room had only cooled down by 2 degrees, and at 32 degrees, that's not exactly a pleasant temperature for the night. So we were quickly moved to the same building. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in this room worked just as well, or in our case, badly, as in the first room. After some back and forth, we got an upgrade to a villa. Everything was perfect here with a new and powerful air conditioning system.
The complex is very beautifully designed and there are several great pools. The stretch of beach is very beautiful and you can swim very well here even at low tide.
Breakfast was not offered as a buffet, but as a set. You can choose two from various sets. The sets were of great quality and generously sized. The service in the restaurant was very attentive and we were treated to lots of little things like fruit, pastries, coffee, juices, etc. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the hotel wasn't too crowded.
Our conclusion is mixed. A great hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Unfortunately, it seems that not enough is invested in the maintenance of the technical systems. That's a shame, because the hotel could position itself even better here.

Cheap rooms are certainly not luxury. 3rd floor view of the road. But soundproofing is ok. Quiet.
In the bathroom, water was running onto the floor. But they brought a mop. Overall ok. The beach is nice. breakfasts are decent.

A Resort that looks good but has many problems (1) The safe cannot be opened and you have to ask someone at the front desk to deal with it (2) There is mold accumulated for many years on the side of the shower bathtub. When you shower, the water flows out along the side of the bathtub and the entire bathroom floor is slippery. (3) The fresh water has a salty smell when bathing and gargling. (4) Check that the room does not provide facial tissues. The other thing is the reception. The two ladies had no choice but to silently accept the complaints from the tenants.
