Sadly, we feel compelled to share our original review below, since the owners have manipulated the reviews and deliberately removed it off Google. Someone commented that they do this and it's become clear that it's true - which displays a complete lack of integrity and honesty on behalf of the owners. No wonder it's all 5 stars on there, which is suspicious in itself. The irony is that we originally gave them a decent 3 stars (and the honest review which we copied below...) but after seeing that they have manipulated and removed the review, we have dropped this down to 1 star and can say that the place is run without the trust you would expect. See below our original review - maybe some people will read this if they check multiple platforms! OK place. Feels slightly like a school - lots of rules and a slightly strange atmosphere. The gym is not really a gym either, so I joined another place.... You will get charged for electricity at the end - heads up. Also know a few friends who had issues there for petty reasons (inc nonresidents who just came for the cowork: one friend got told off just for bringing an external water bottle and another guy for simply sitting by the pool - so lots of rules!). The location is nice / quiet but not sure it was the digital nomad haven we were after. Fine stay for 2 weeks but I'm not sure on longer stays...

I used the cowork space for a few months and what began as a nice experience, quickly became uncomfortable day by day. For context, I’ve stayed in 5+ coworking spaces during my time, so I know what to usually expect. The coworking space has no aircon making it hot to work and many rules for non-residents, such as not being able to bring your own food and drink (I understand this is how their business model works, however I don’t like feeling guilt-tripped because I bought my water bottle) + you will get told off for staying just 10 minutes late + you cannot sit by the pool because of the residents privacy (even if the pool is empty). The reason it’s so cheap is because they expect you to buy from the cafe. So if you don’t, you’ll see them become prickly towards you overtime. To be fair, the guy at least had the decency to remain polite with me, but the lady would frown / blank / snub me. That’s why I’m writing this review, since it was unprofessional. I’m a friendly female and never had any issues like this before or been in a place with so many rules. I have since moved to BeProductive cowork which, although it’s more expensive, has less restrictions, aircon and a more friendly atmosphere. I guess a better fit :) I hope this is helpful information for other digital nomads looking for a place to work in Koh Samui.

Terrible place to stay in Koh Samui. The manager was rude and obnoxious, unprofessional. I had lived there for 3 months and it was like living in hell. A month after staying there I invited one of my friends to stay with me. The manager forced us to pay extra for him and we complied even though I was already paying for a two-person bedroom. No hotel in Thailand will ask you to pay extra for a second person. The manager told us that he registered my friend but later on we found out through the tourist police that he lied to us. He had caused me so many unnecessary problems, one of them being us parking the bike on the side of the pathway when the parking was full, he then cussed at us and yelled at us. He threatened to kick my friend out. The next day he kicked him out even after we had paid extra for his stay. We then talked to the tourist police and they explained to us that this isn't allowed and my friend can safely go back to Amy Village and continue his stay. After the manager found out we weren't planning on leaving he then proceeded to shut off the electricity in the room and then cut the air conditioning cable. He then called the local police on us which ended up with them being on our side. The day my friend's stay was over, the manager and his wife decided to let themselves into my room when I was sleeping for pest control. I was given no reminder in advance, and this wasn't the first time they had let themselves in without asking first. Just because the manager has a key to all the rooms doesn't mean they should use them unless there is an emergency. As a woman, this was shocking to see, especially because one of the first things that the manager told me when I was moving in was that this area was safe. Doesn't seem safe to me. On top of this, the wifi didn't work for my house for 2 weeks. They call themselves a digital nomad club but don't have proper wifi? Nothing in the room worked properly, the main entrance door knob was broken, the balcony doors barely slid open, the windows didn't close properly, and the aircon kept on leaking. This is only some of the issues with the room. For what I paid for I could have gotten a much better room with professional workers who won't give you dirty and rude looks when they see you. Overall, this is the WORST hotel I have stayed in.

We have had a very bad experience with the owners. We paid a deposit for three months stay of 20% to stay 3 months in september. Undue to illness of a familymember we however need to return to our homecountry unforseen. So we cancelled today alsmost 3 months in advanced. And this owner found it qppropriate to take 10.000 bath = €270,-- for costs. They schemed us because in Thailand this is not allowed. So we have asked the tourist police for help. Unbelievable that people will take advantage of a personal situation and try to profit from it. I wouldn't trust these owners with anything anymore. My advice: stay away.

We have just returned from 10 days at Amy Village. The "Home away from home" has never been so true for our 1st time in Thaï country. It is a small village inside and outside the city. You feel at home there. Simple bugalows, very pleasant with the comfort that goes with it, not bulky but everything you need. The rooms are spacious and air-conditioned. I personally found the queen bed comfortable. The view of the Amy Village swimming pool is a delight every morning and totally pleasant at the end of the afternoon. Our stay went very well. The reception is pleasant and friendly. I would point out, among other things, a unique scrambled egg specialty and homemade coffees of different origins on demand. I recommend Amy Village for its simplicity, location and friendliness.

An excellent friendly resort close to Lamai beach and all the amenities. 3 minutes from the local supermarket and close enough to the night life of Lamai beach. We stayed for just under two weeks and the facilities were excellent. Great pool, Co working space and scooter hire. A little coffee shop on site and only minutes away from lots of places to eat

We are staying for a month and I am working. The managers are a lovely and super helpful young couple. The accomodation (2 bedroom) is spacious and clean. Ver quiet and great to work from with nice people around and good wifi. Perfect place for digital nomads and remote workers.

Wow! I have lived in three different parts of Samui now, and I can say that not only is Lamai the best area, but Amy Village is unlike any other place that I have lived. It is quiet, but there is a beautiful sense of community here. There is always help when you need it. The coffee shop here is amazing - so many different types of coffee. The owners of the cafe are also such wonderful people. I love living here and I plan to live here at this resort for as long as possible.

Amazing place to settle for middle to long term! I had stayed here in 2020 for 3 months and I came back and I’m loving it even more as they are upgrading to be more digital nomad friendly with a coworking space and super fast internet. The energy of the place is very good with good people including the owner which accommodates us as much as he can. Very clean and nice pool, a little gym inside + now that new coworking area which is good when I just want to work somewhere else than in my room Near the beach (10 min walk) Supermarket (3 min walk), local market (5 min walk)
