Glad I booked this resort as really looking forward to a good spot in Choeng Mon first time, location was in the north end where it’s not so much people - beach water is flat like swimming pool and stretch is great for exploring. Next to a wonderful beach club restaurant. It’s easily walkable to other beachfront resorts for food or drinks or just to hang out. Main road is a short walk crossing the other resorts as well. There’s a restaurant here as well but I didn’t get to try it as was exploring. Room on L3 was great, delighted for its space and balcony with lounge. Bed was comfortable with 4 pillows and towels all good. Wardrobe and hangers, also a rack in bathroom to hang. Water pressure great although the water doesn’t go down so well it’s abit flooding in the bath area but no big problems still acceptable. Aircon was the best when you are sweltering from outdoors it’s freaking 40+ degrees. Plenty of surfaces to place things that is useful for me. Did laundry and there was a checklist to prevent loss of items. Staff were lovely and very helpful too! Thank you so much for my last nights in Samui, very pleasant and no issues is godsend.

Location super Nice — imo one of best beaches in koh samui. Hotel very average - stafff Way below average after this episode: The second night we stayed at Kirati we had a very dangerous experience. When the kids where put to bed we heard some noise from the electricity in the cabinet with a certain frequency. After the kids slept we looked into the cabinet where the HFI electricity box was and the noise was sparks comming out of the box! This could easily have turned into a fire. We ran down to the restaurant and they came to shut down the room and move us to another. Unfortunately the moving of kids/moving of all our unpacked stuff resulted in a very bad sleep for us and a lost packing day the day after. This is for sure the hotels responsibility to ensure that electricity is not dangerous - resulting in a potential dangerous stay for us. I have never experienced anything on my travels before... I have requested the hotel compensation for this - however they Think it is enough compensation for this lifethreatening experience that we moved room. Hence 3/5 star for hotel, 0/5 star for manager

The hotel is right on the beach and the sea comes right up against the restaurant however that will vary through the year. During our stay we had to walk one minute either side of the hotel through the ankle deep sea to get to the beautiful beaches. The sea went out around 4pm until 11pm for a nice wide beach which the hotel puts tables on for evening diners. The beach to the right has sun beds you can pay to use (300 baht)/day. There’s a restaurant also for food and drinks. The beach to the left is extensive with loads of options for food, drink and water activities including jet ski, banana boat or kayak hire. The hotel itself is nice and the staff are very helpful with any request, however it requires a general tidy up and update. Our family room was comfortable but could of done with new mattresses. The shower wasn’t the warmest at any time of the day it was used. The pool is 32ft (info from hotel staff) and unusable due to it not being maintained. With the sea being so calm on the north coast of Koh Samui it’s not so much of an issue, however if they advertise to having it as a facility it should be maintained for guests to use. There is an option to pay to use the pool in the hotel next door. Unsure of the cost. The restaurant overlooks the beach and sea on slightly uneven decking area which is absolutely fine for most but perhaps a little tricky for some. The food isn’t the cheapest however its portions are generous and good quality tasting food. There’s nightly entertainment which is popular with tourists in the area which means its often busy. Just note that the staff aren’t great at multi tasking so things can take time to arrive. There’s about a 400 meter walk back to the through road which has multiple restaurants, massage parlours, a pharmacy etc. cant remember the name but the restaurant we had diner at was around 800 baht for a family of three. This hotel is worth using as a base for a relaxing stay, great beach, calm sea and to tour the north of Koh Samui or the nearby islands (Koh Phangan etc).

Only visited restaurant, after have not been back for a while. Thai food and seafood are the best; fresh, authentic and tasty. If you stay around Choengmon area and looking for a local and friendly price restaurant. Kirati is the one 🙂 They also have a very good coffee, which batista will create special coffee menu for you, if you prefer something different from the menu

We ate at the restaurant twice in the evenings , as it was a short stroll from the Melia where we were staying. The food is excellent quality. The service isn’t quick, be prepared to wait. However, if you want really good quality , inexpensive food on the beach , with fire show and some great live singers, I would highly recommend the Kirati restaurant.

We walked along the beach and found this restaurant so decided to eat on the beach. The food was amazing and large portions, there was live music and even a little fire show on the beach. I would definitely recommend. As with lots of local restaurants they don’t understand starters - food seems to turn up as cooked. But not a problem, just don’t expect starters then main.

Awful place. Firstly, the hotel is in the middle of a construction site, so there's noise all day every day and at all hours. The swimming pool is absolutely disgusting, I booked this place because my daughter was desperate to stay somewhere with a pool. There was no way I would let her swim in that. Disgusting and not safe. The room- DUST, thick dust and cobwebs everywhere. My daughter developed a very bad cough due to the dust. (She has asthma). The curtains are not black out curtains so we were woken every day at 6.30 as the sun begins to shine through into the bungalow. The bathroom is disgusting, hasn't seen a mop on the floor for years, concrete shower and freezing cold water- no hot water in the bungalows. WiFi doesn't reach the bungalows so if you want to use the Internet you have to hang around near the "lobby". There are huge rats running over the roof all night and make such a noise that it's hard to sleep. A lot of bugs on the floor, huge things that I've never seen before. Maybe due to the dust? The restaurant... Very, very expensive. If you're used to Thai prices you will have a huge shock here. Prices that you wouldn't even pay in Europe. We ordered food one night because it was late and my daughter was hungry and tired. Terrible food. The staff speaks no English at all. They put our food on the table (not what we ordered) and it took 23 minutes to try and get them to bring us a knife and fork so we could eat. 23 minutes and 6 different staff members to try and figure out what we wanted. Food was already cold by then. The second course took so long that I told them to forget it, the guy then gets angry and tells me that I have to pay it anyway. I didn't. I refused. There is never anybody in reception, if you need something then you have to ask the waiters at the bar on the beach to find the woman who supposedly works in reception. Again, she speaks zero English so even when they do find her it's pretty pointless. Cleaners come by at 18.00 in the evening, the time people usually have a shower and get ready for dinner. So they didn't clean the room. The fire show every evening at 20.30, they perform far too near to the tables where people are having dinner. The road to get to the hotel is very dark and quite long. You need at least a good torch. I paid 56€ for 2 nights. I will never return to this place. The worst place I've stayed in Thailand. Should be closed down.
