Fishing Park Samui

Experience of a life time! We stumbled across this fishing park by chance and what an epic couple of days fishing we had. Where to begin!!! Firstly the resort is truly amazing, the facilities are first class, there are villas along the lake which are breath taking, this is no put me up accommodation this is 5 star luxury great for taking the wife and kids! If you are not fishing There is a pool to die for, along with all the other amenities that a family could need to while away the hours. For those not wanting a lake villa there are pool villas which literally open out onto the pool. Now onto the fishing! Oh boy this was a gift that just kept giving, the park hasn’t been fished for a couple of years so you can imagine what it was like!!! We fished the first day for half a day and caught 14 fish including a 100lb Chaophya, Alligator Gars, Mekong, Red tail catfish and Jullians carp. The second visit we fished for a full day and caught 33 fish totalling a weight of over 1050lb of fish. We were fortunate to catch Tambaqui ,Mekong, Aligator Gar, Chao Phraya amongst others. We lost around 15 fish which were massive! The lake had just been stocked with Arapaima over 2m long and Siamese Carp in excess of 120kg. If you are a big fish hunter then this place has to go on your bucket list. The guides are experienced and dedicated to the welfare of the fish caught and boy do you need them, there was no rest basically it was fishing it’s nuts off!!! My advise is go now if you can, before it’s fished on and experience a once in a life time fishing opportunity. My final thoughts go to the Management, Pam and Neil of Samui Fishing Park. Their dedication to the resort is clear to see, two truly amazing people that have a passion for not only the resort but are dedicated and keen to see that you get the best fishing experience on Koh Samui. We will be back next year to try out the villas and catch the monsters that got away!!!
