I recently spent a weekend here, and overall, I would say it was a decent experience for what we paid. Here's a breakdown of my thoughts: Accommodations (3/5): The rooms were clean and well-maintained, but they felt a bit outdated. The furniture and decor could use some updating, and the beds were not the most comfortable. However, the room had all the basic amenities, including a TV, mini-fridge, and a clean bathroom. It's not a luxury experience, but it was acceptable for a short stay. Service (4/5): The staff here were friendly and attentive. They were quick to address our needs and answer any questions we had. Check-in and check-out were efficient, and the concierge was helpful in arranging activities in the area. Amenities (3/5): The resort has a nice pool area, which we enjoyed. However, the pool could have been cleaner, and there were limited lounge chairs available, especially during peak hours. The on-site restaurant had a decent menu, but the food was a bit on the expensive side for what you got. It would be nice to have more dining options nearby. Location (3/5): It is located a bit further from the main attractions in the area, so you'll need a car to get around. This could be a downside for some, but it's also quieter and away from the crowds. If you're looking for a more secluded experience, it might be a plus. Value for Money (3/5): The pricing at this resort is reasonable, but you get what you pay for. It's not a luxury resort, so if you're looking for a budget-friendly option, it's a decent choice. In summary, this is a middle-of-the-road resort. It's not going to blow you away, but it's clean, the service is good, and it offers an affordable place to stay. If you're not too concerned with luxury and just need a place to sleep while exploring the area, it's worth considering.

Actually a lovely property, but some things look obsolete already.

Short walk for Fisherman's Village. Need to walk down an ill maintained road to get to the hotel - not ideal at night, poorly lit. The hotel itself is nothing like the photos - needs a lot of maintenance. Pool unusable. Outdoor pest control chemicals were sprayed from an exhaust outside our room and entered our room via the gap and holes in the door to our room. From inside the room, it looked like a massive cloud of smoke. As we ran out of the room in a panic, realising that it was pest control, noticing that those spraying the agent were wearing PPE, we were very concerned that this had happened. Surely this is not safe. A pest control liquid had been sprayed in our room prior, which was fine, it was hopefully meant for indoors, but this clearly wasn't. The staff member we spoke to said we'd complain if there were bugs in the room and we complain about pest control. We actually didn't have any bugs in the room until pest control left a big worm in the toilet! The staff member was very rude. He didn't seem to care, saying he and other people sit in it, although "it's not ideal". Personally, I think this is dangerous for guests - surely those chemicals should not be inhaled by humans! We left as soon as we were able to enter the room again to collect our stuff. Worst hotel experience we've had in SE Asia and we've been travelling here nearly 6 months.

The room is small, worth the price. There is an outdoor swimming pool. Peaceful, near the beach

We had a great time at The White Cottage. The rooms are clean, stylish and very comfortable. The staff are super friendly and helpful, which made our stay particularly enjoyable. The pool area is beautiful and perfect for relaxing. The location is also ideal - there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. We'll be happy to come back!

The room was cute, clean, but when I went I saw that they had just finished cleaning it. So I didn't go swimming.

The rooms are clean, convenient, the best front desk, very helpful. Sleep well

The bathroom is a bit scary. The lights in the room surge often. The atmosphere is quiet.

The location is not good, the sanitation is poor, the room is very humid, the bathroom is dirty, there are no supporting facilities, the service attitude is very poor, not recommended! ! !

A cheap room to stay for a short time because it's a night arrival I made a reservation I couldn't go because the flight was delayed. I couldn't even smell it.

Our stay here was very enjoyable and worth the money spent. This hotel is not a luxury beachfront hotel, nor is it advertised as such. We were not at all disappointed in any of the accommodations. The relationship with the ocean front hotel Karma allowed us full access with beachfront bar and access to the ocean. The location of the hotel allowed us to take local transportation to everywhere we wanted to go on the island for a very reasonable cost. If you're experienced and willing to accept a little risk, you can rent a scooter at an unbelievable low cost per day. One nice thing is the walkability to Fisherman's Village both by road and beach. This is a must see experience both for any level of shopping or dining whether it be a restaurant on the street, oceanfront, or the plentiful street food options. Most impressive were the many choices for cocktails or dining at a table in the sand. Both allowing the viewing of the "fire shows". As with most of our experience with Thailand, the staff we encountered at both hotels and restaurants were very gracious and helpful. We ate at several locations but the late night drinks and dinner we had at the Positive Vibes Cafe@Bar, subject of another review, were exceptional and inexpensive. What made this hotel stand out was the office staff, "O" and her sister, and their willingness to assist us with anything we asked. "O" not only helped arrange all of our taxi's and tours. She gave us suggestions as to what we should do and where to go based on our interest and needs. Upon our early arrival, we had to wait for our room. Being Inquisitive, I asked about the Buddha statues and shrines which seem to be everywhere in Thailand. She spent over 45 minutes answering my many unsolicited questions. If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel not on the ocean but close enough to walk to it, this is the place to choose.

Very friendly and helpful stuff made us feel very wellcome and helped us with arrangements for our trip. Rooms are nice with good AC, window curtains and safety box. Nice own patio in front of bungalow. Location is a bit off side so taxi or motorbike is needed for longer stay.

Booked last minute at Samui airport. Turned up to view the hotel. Dirty, cloudy, green pool and a construction site next door! Asked to cancel my booking which I had made through Agoda less than an hour before arriving. The hotel declined to cancel as did Agoda who said it was the properties decision. Avoid! Walked 5 minutes down the road and ended up staying at the Ibis Bophot. Fantastic hotel. Clean pools. Lovely staff. Gret breakfast and beach front!

10 “amazing quite place.” This is a perfect place for families that would like to have quite place. not to expensive and very valuable for the amount you pay. the stuff are so nice and would like to help at any question. they even let us leave out suitcases for safe keeping without any cost. the owner Jill was do nice and brought something that I forget to the pier just before I left. what an awesome way to help and ask nothing in return. I definitely r command this hotel and I wish I could come back asap. it was an honor to meet them and be in a clean, safe and comfortable location in the white cottage. thank you Jill and Ou. 17 Apr 2024
