Bay Beach Resort

Overall clean, close to the beach, slow but friendly service personnel.

This resort is well positioned for beach and amenities on the main street. We stayed in one of the bungalows which are basic but clean and spacious with a massive bathroom and a nice terrace at the front. The swimming pool is huge and mostly empty. The gardens are well tended. The only disappointment was the bar/restaurant - not only was it very expensive for the location it really needed a fresh coat of paint and general spruce up. There were plenty of sun loungers, but again, a re-fresh is necessary. Overall good value for money, pleasant staff, would recommend.

As thectitle says, this is a review purely for the facilities available to non-guests. You can pay 250bht for a sunbed for the day, which is what we have done a couple of times now. We went to the area initially to spend the day at a nearby beach club. Fortunately, that was full as the amenities didn't look great. This place is a few metres along the beach and it's excellent. The sunbeds themselves are a little uncomfortable after a few hours and could benefit from a refresh. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant food was excellent, and mid range priced. The beer was the coldest we've had, and they also have clean toilets and showers for day guest use. Hotel guests get free use of the beds and on both occasions we were there there were some beds which were taken, but the occupants never put in an appearance. Slightly annoying, but not enough to put us off. There is also a mini market very close if you don't fancy paying the restaurant prices. The sea was very warm in early February and it is very shallow for some distance.

Best hotel Iv stayed on Samui and Iv stayed in many. My room was beautiful overlooking the pool. Nice furniture, good water pressure, bed was so comfortable not too hard not too soft ( struggle to get any good beds in Thailand usually rock hard !). Also a large TV which has netflix and youtube built in with perfect WIFI signal. Cleaners come everyday do a good job. Pool was lovely with comfy chairs and really comfortable bean bags and hotel is on the beachfront. The beach here is not overcrowded and the water is beautiful and clear and you have a good selection of bars and restaurants alongside. The hotel restaurant had beautiful food and staff very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great, great selection of hot food, and 2 staff cooking eggs anyway you like them. Great fresh coffee too ! Hotel has a band on twice a week which was a really good band and enjoyable to listen to. Outside on the high road it is nicer I find than other areas on samui. Supermarkets, nice bars, nice traditional Thai restaurants literally 1 minute walk from hotel. Rent a bike outside too. Perfect really. James and Harriott who run the hotel are extremely welcoming and just very down to earth and friendly. They are always around making sure everything is OK at the hotel often having nice chats with the guests. 5 stars.

Fantastic spot, perfect beach side restaurant and accommodation. Very well run, clean and personalised approach to everything. Managers make you feel warm and welcome wanting to come back :). The ice cream is the best and the smoothies are delicious and healthy ;p)

Lovely hotel in Koh Samui. The beach is beautiful - not too big but lots of good restaurants and bars available. The hotel has lots of sunbeds on the beach so plenty of choice available. The pool is nice and again, we never struggled to get a sun bed. The hotel also provided towels for both the pool and the beach. Rooms were clean and bright and the bed was comfy! Overall, I would recommend staying at this hotel.
