I really enjoyed my 2-week holiday at ibis Samui Bophut.
It is located just beach-front. There are a lot of sun loungers by the swimming pools and you can easily access to the lovely sandy beach.
Members of staff at the hotel, including receptionists, are always very friendly. I have to say that the size of the room is rather small, but I had everything I needed, such as a safe, a fridge, a small sofa and two bed-side tables. There is a kettle in the room and two bottles of water, tea and coffee are provided every day.
There are a lot of local restaurants nearby within an easy walking distance. I even walked and jogged to Fisherman's Village a few times in the evening.
So, my stay was very comfortable.
A few taxis are always parked just in front of the hotel, waiting for people who need one. Also, there is a taxi service desk / tour desk inside the hotel. They charged 400THB to the airport, which was exactly the same amount that the airport taxi service charged me when I arrived. I was told that booking an airport-run taxi the day before was needed, though.
