The beach here is beautiful, peaceful, and very private. The rooms are good and the breakfast has a variety. I recommend it.

I like that it's a private beach. The beachfront rooms are very good, right next to the beach. There are comfortable beach chairs to sit and watch your children. The beach is clean, not too crowded with tourists. You can play in the sea all day and the sun doesn't shine much. Catching the wind crab is fun.

Very good, the children love the pool and sea activities.

The location of the resort is right on the beach and that is the only positive thing about this. The hotel staff is very lazy and pretend not to understand English. They don't even arrange for pick up and drop and no answer when called. Breakfast options are basic and not great.

The room is pretty good. There is a sea view right out of the room. Because it is a pristine environment, you still need to bring mosquito repellent.

The beachfront house we stayed in had nothing but great views. I found two cockroaches in the room. I don't know if I didn't see them at other times. The room is very old and the toilet is really unbearable and broken. I stayed in B15, which had a view of the sea from the side. There are only 7-8 beachfront rooms in the hotel facing the sea. When the tide goes out, there are very small sand crabs. The children were quite disappointed. Last year we caught crabs as big as the palm of our hand in Krabi.

Excellent hotel, fantastic location and great restaurant.

I’ve stayed Samed Cabana approximately half a dozen times over the years and always enjoy coming back to Koh Samed. Vongdeuan is a beautiful white sanded crescent shaped beach with warm turquoise waters. Samed Cabana is broken up into prime beachside bungalows which are in desperate need of an upgrade and smarter new rooms in two up two down blocks of four away from the beach around a nice swimming pool. Prices remain high at over 3000 baht a night for the bungalows as they are a popular weekend getaway for Bangkok Thai families. Even though the wooden beachside bungalows have a fantastic location they are extremely old,poor lighting,uncomfortable bed,cold showers and limited power points. I paid over 3000 baht for a supposedly double bed and for two singles to be put together with single sheets.It came across as very poor. Even when I managed to come here during Covid and was the only westerner on the beach,the prices never dropped,so obviously the hotel are happy with the situation. I noticed the hotel this visit had been taken over by a new company so hopefully they will implement measures to improve the very old beachside bungalows. I still love visiting Koh Samed but will give Samed Cabana a miss until bungalows refurbished and maybe prices go down.

We were only in the restaurant not in the resort. The portions of our Thai food were very small, but expensive. We had to look for the meat or shrimp on our plates. Very disappointing meal. Service was ok. The location right by the sea would be perfect. A pity.
